In recent news a former Police Officer who responded to the Uvalde shooting at an Elementary school where 19 children lost their lives, was announced not guilty. He was being charged with 29 counts of child endangerment and a jury acquitted him. We discuss the case, the aftermath, the reason it happens and what we can look forward to in future cases. This weeks episode rounds off the SJC Sheriff series with John Nyce and his Undersheriff Carlos Loomis. Call back to episode 41 when John was on the first time to hear more of his story. Now that youtube is operational at Beyond the Flag, we wanted all candidates on equal footing and to have a chance to be filmed. Additionally John officially announced his candidacy since his first episode and has chosen Carlos to be his running mate in this tightly contested Sheriff's race in San Juan County. Carlos has experience on SWAT Teams, academy instruction and has held multiple positions with multiple Police agencies in his 20+ year career with Law Enforcement.
