She opens up about how each space shaped her business and why privacy, professionalism, and environment matter so deeply in bookkeeping. Sometimes it’s not the spreadsheet, the software, or the strategy that shifts your business , it’s one powerful conversation.
In this episode of the Art of Numbers Podcast, Tara Lieschke shares:
✨ A real client story about how one brave conversation turned financial chaos into clarity.✨ Why asking better questions leads to smarter business decisions.✨ How to create safe spaces for money and business chats — at work and at home.✨ Three practical activities you can try this week, plus journaling prompts to reflect deeper.
Whether it’s with your bookkeeper, your business partner, or over a quiet business date night with your spouse, the right conversation can change everything.
🔑 This week’s challenge: Have one conversation you’ve been avoiding. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it might just be the shift you need.

Running a business can feel really heavy when you’re trying to do it all yourself. I’ve been there, and I know so many of my clients have too. But here’s the thing: you don’t have to carry it all on your own.
In this episode, I’m talking about the importance of building a tribe around your business. Your accountant, your bookkeeper, your networking groups, even your family and friends. These are the people who guide you, support you, and hold you accountable. And if you’re not sitting down and having regular conversations with them, you could be missing out on so much clarity and support.
I’ll share why checking in on your numbers and processes regularly isn’t just a good habit, it’s essential. I’ll also talk about accountability, why it matters, and how it stops us from falling into the “I’ll do it later” trap. Plus, I’ll share how groups like BNI here in Balcatta, Stirling Business Centre, and even the Small Business Association have played such an important role in my own journey.
And yes, I’ll let you in on one of my favourite rituals, our family “business date night.” Because support doesn’t only come from the professionals, it also comes from the people closest to you.
This episode is your reminder that business was never meant to be a solo act. So, who’s in your tribe? And when’s the last time you really sat down with them?
