Language: English
Release date: 01-23-18
Publisher: Audible Studios

Harry Clarke was originally produced by The Vineyard Theatre, in association with Audible, in New York in 2017. In a rave review of the stage production, The New York Times hailed Crudup's performance in a "a sly role terrifically suited to his gifts." And The Hollywood Reporter praised Crudup's "tour-de-force performance; effortlessly delineating his multiple characters, switching accents at the drop of a hat."
Also included is David Cale's Obie Award-winning solo play Lillian, performed by the author. A perfect companion character to the enigmatic Harry Clarke, Lillian - as described by The New York Times - "is a luminous embodiment of the ineffable in life, a reminder that even the most mundane existence is shaped by currents beyond comprehension."

Format: Original Recording
Length: 34 mins
Language: English
Release date: 01-12-18
Publisher: Hold On with Eugene Mirman, Audible Comedy
Genres: Comedy, Storytelling
Summary:
[Contains explicit content] Dana Gould (Stan Against Evil, The Simpsons) is a comedian of note, sometimes credited as the progenitor of alternative comedy, but anyone who has heard his act or his podcast, knows that he's big into horror and sci-fi movies. Before The Room and Troll 2, Plan 9 from Outer Space was the most famous so-bad-it's-good movie, and in addition to being a fan of the film, Dana has a direct connection to the legendary stinker: he befriended TV host and Plan 9 star Vampira late in her life. So late, in fact, that Dana had the morbid honor of planning her funeral. Eugene Mirman crept out of his crypt to do a little post-mortem on Dana's tale of woe (told to the fine boils and ghouls at a RISK! show) and keep Vampira's peculiar charm alive on this spooky episode of Hold On with Eugene Mirman... from beyond the grave!
In each episode of the Audible Comedy series Hold On, host Eugene Mirman (Bob's Burgers) pauses the funny stories of comedians and performers to get the skinny behind the story. Title: Patti Issues and Bad with Money
Author: Ben Rimalower
Narrator: Ben Rimalower
Format: Original Recording
Length: 1 hr and 58 mins
Language: English
Release date: 01-05-18
Publisher: Roven Records Spoken Word
Genres: Drama & Poetry, Modern Drama
Summary:
Ben Rimalower's one-man plays Patti Issues and Bad with Money have been taking the country by storm, and now, for the first time, they are available in this live recording.
When Ben Rimalower was eight years old, his father came out of the closet and embarked on a drug-fueled tear that left his family in tatters. Amid the chaos of his young life, Ben found comfort - like so many gay boys before him and after - in musical theater, and specifically in the transportive voice of Broadway star Patti LuPone. Patti Issues marks Rimalower's debut as a playwright and performer, after serving as the director of numerous off-Broadway plays, concerts, and all-star benefits (and blogging for the Huffington Post). With a mix of comic irreverence, stark candor and show-biz bravado, Patti Issues poignantly explores the challenges facing LGBT parents and children while shining unique light on gay men's time-old obsessions with divas.

Auteur: Lazaro Droznes
Narrateur: Linda Fitak
Format: Unabridged
Durée: 1 hr and 15 mins
Langue: Français
Date de publication: 12-20-17
Éditeur: Unitexto LLC
Genres: Drama & Poetry, Modern Drama

Title: In the Great Together: One-Act Plays
Author: Seth Alan Barkas
Narrator: Lynn Carnefix
Format: Unabridged
Length: 3 hrs and 43 mins
Language: English
Release date: 12-19-17
Publisher: Hannacroix Creek Books, inc.
Genres: Drama & Poetry, Modern Drama
Summary:
Seth Alan Barkas was a film critic for Baltimore Magazine when he died, as well as a freelance theater reviewer for one of the two leading theater newspapers at the time. At the age of 23, on his way home from reviewing an off-Broadway play, he was attacked. These four unique plays are the work of an aspiring, talented playwright whose career was tragically cut short by his death following a senseless mugging.
Each of the one-act plays collected in In the Great Together resonates with sharp, memorable dialogue and diverse and powerful themes, plots, and characters.
"Maximilian" takes place in 1867 in a prison cell the night before the execution of Maximilian, the former Emperor of Mexico. A fellow aristocrat, smuggled into the prison as a stable boy, tries to talk his friend into leaving Mexico and returning to Austria, rather than be executed.
"Cry of the Boy", a more existential drama, delves into the everyday life of a 17-year-old boy and his relationship with his mother and father.
"The Devil and Don Quixote" is an original application of the classic Cervantes tale to the story of Don Quixote, a man who has just escaped from an old age home aided by his former attendant, Sancho.
"Scorpio" explores the relationship between a 20-year-old woman, named Tom, and Stanley, a 19-year-old who wanders into Tom's apartment as he goes door to door in a Bronx apartment building, selling merchandise made by the blind.
