Join us every Tuesday and Thursday as we break down the wildest developments in the messy world of sports — because it’s much more fun to watch athletes on the field if you know what they’re doing off of it.
Whether you’re a die-hard fan who has the standings of multiple leagues memorized, or someone who really does think that Taylor Swift put Travis Kelce on the map, join us Madeline Hill and Charlotte Wilder, as we watch sports with one eye on the game and one eye on the personal life section of athletes’ Wikipedia pages.

Madeline and Charlotte are back with a doozy of a show. This is the last one before Thanksgiving, so they also want to say that they’re very grateful for their Shareholders!Today’s episode starts by shouting out Gotham FC for winning their second NWSL Championship. The Washington Spirit lost, and now their star, Trinity Rodman is a free agent — is this an inflection point for the NWSL (also, her boyfriend, tennis star Ben Shelton, was with her after the game). Jordon Hudson, UNC head coach Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, is online again, posting a veiled Instagram (maybe about SGS?) and then a not-so-veiled one. Also, Bill’s daughter-in-law Jenny reportedly went on a rant about Jordon, according to the NY Post. Anyway! Tate McCrae was spotted with New Jersey Devils star Jack Hughes, which could make for a very interesting Olympics. WNBA star Angel Reese and NBA star Wendell Carter Jr. confirm they’re dating! Taylor Swift is reportedly getting her Rhode Island house ready for her wedding to Travis Kelce. The Cowboys provided an update as to why CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens didn’t start in the opening drive last weekend, and it has to do with Las Vegas. Lane Kiffin coaching updates: LSU is reportedly preparing one of the richest contracts ever, seven years and as much as $98 million, for the current Ole Miss head coach. Kiffin will decide after Friday's Egg Bowl against rival Mississippi State, and the gals are very proud of Kiffin’s daughter Landry for masterminding this. The Dallas Wings got the No. 1 pick in the draft — will star Paige Bueckers and her girlfriend, Azzi Fudd, get to play together? What does the pope have to do with this? There is drama in the LA Lakers First Family: new ownership fired two Buss brothers. NBA stars Klay Thompson and Ja Morant are fighting. And finally, F1 Grand Prix Las Vegas drama involving Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, and Max Verstappen. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back with a special edition that they’re calling “Play The Hits,” because this episode has all of SGS’s main characters in one show. First, Tom Brady wore the same Marty Supreme jacket as Karl-Anthony Towns and ballerina Misty Copeland, so the gals dug into it. They also went to a Marty Supreme screening the other night and had a blast — Timothée Chalamet, come on the pod! You all knew this was coming: Jordon Hudson competed in an adult cheerleading competition/showcase called Cheer Extreme All Stars in North Carolina. Her boyfriend, UNC head coach Bill Belichick, was there to support her, even as the UNC program sinks even further into the ocean of college football losses. Giants running back Cam Skattebo, who suffered a season-ending injury in October, went to a taping episode of WWE’s "Monday Night Raw" at Madison Square Garden, and Knicks Star Jalen Brunson had his back. The gals also had to talk more about Aaron Rodgers’ wife Brittani, because Madeline did some digging…and this woman is nowhere to be found. Then it’s time for Week 12 NFL vibes-based predictions, followed by two MLB weddings. Gavin Lux and Gunnar Henderson each wed their wives this past weekend. Were the flowers compressed? You’ve gotta listen to find out! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back with a banger of an episode if they do say so themselves! First off, Jordyn Woods got her boyfriend, Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns, a car from his childhood for his birthday. KAT also wore merch for the movie Marty Supreme, starring his friend and major Knicks fan Timothée Chalamet. Knicks fanatic and legendary filmmaker Spike Lee gave the pope a Knicks jersey. Travis Kelce broke the Chiefs’ record for most total touchdowns in team history, but the vibes are still bad! Former Penn State head coach James Franklin was hired at Virginia Tech, where his good friend Brent Pry just got fired. The ties to the Prys go way back, because Franklin played for Brent’s dad in college. Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin seems to be up for the LSU and Florida coaching jobs, even though his Ole Miss team is going to make the CFB Playoffs for the first time. The only problem is that the governor of Louisiana recently called out Kiffin’s agent, which might not go over so well. Is Lane Kiffin’s daughter Landry actually masterminding this by dating LSU star Whit Weeks? In other LSU news, former LSU Tiger Will Campbell (and current star lineman of the Patriots) is dating the sister of Garrett Nussmeier, LSU's quarterback, aka his old teammate! This means the gals have to talk about the Will Campbell and Patriots quarterback Drake Maye lore. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are thrilled to welcome Ken Rosenthal to the show! Ken is a two-time Sports Emmy Award-winner, a reporter and insider for FOX Sports’ Major League Baseball coverage, and a senior baseball writer for The Athletic who has spent nearly 40 years covering the major leagues. He joins the gals to talk about how Cleveland Guardians pitchers Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz have been indicted on charges of rigging pitches during MLB games. He shares his favorite sports gossip of all time, involving Orioles pitcher Cal Ripken Jr. and actor Kevin Costner, and addresses the signature Ken Rosenthal bowtie. Then, some updates on ex-Mavs GM Nico Harrison’s Instagram bio, and is a fight brewing between Warriors stars Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green? Relationship updates: WNBA star Angel Reese appears to be dating Orlando Magic player Wendell Carter Jr.? Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been out and about in New York, and Madison Beer was at Chargers QB Justin Herbert’s game. What’s Goin’ On Here: Aaron Rodgers’s wife edition. Is Britanni with an “i” real? The gals discuss. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back, and it’s been a bad week for company men! First, an update on this week’s NFL vibes-based picks because they did very well, although the Sunday and Monday night football games were very boring. At least there were some electric NBA games! Now, onto the firings: The gals begin with Nico Harrison, general manager of the Dallas Mavericks. Fans have been chanting “fire Nico” since he traded away the team’s star Luka Doncic last year, and ownership finally listened. In a wild turn of events, LSU is claiming they didn’t fire former head coach Brian Kelly, even though there’s a lot of evidence to suggest they did (because they did). The second guy who got fired this week is Brian Daboll, head coach of the Giants. This discussion also involves a debate about nepo babies and a story about Joaquin Phoenix, Rooney Mara, and a corgi. In NFL firing news, Commanders coach Dan Quinn sort of (but not really) fired his defensive coordinator Joe Whitt. Mike McDaniel drove by a Bills bar called Elbo Room in Ft. Lauderdale after the Dolphins beat the Bills to heckle Bills fans, even though the Dolphins are still bad. And, in a new segment called “It Goes All The Way To The Top,” Scarlet Johansson is doing NBC promo for the winter Olympics. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline is back with a new haircut, and Charlotte is here for it! The gals give their NFL Week 10 vibes-based predictions and wonder: is NFL great Tom Brady throwing shade at Bill Belichick, his former coach? Speaking of Tom Brady, he cloned his dog. The gals dig in, because it’s a real follow the money situation. A while ago, Brady (and Tiger Woods) invested in a company called Colossal Biosciences. Colossal Biosciences just acquired the company Viagen, which owns the rights to the technology that was responsible for cloning Dolly the sheep in 1996. So Brady brought his departed dog back to life. Kind of. Weird! The New York Jets traded cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts, and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to the Cowboys. A former Atlanta Hawks senior vice president was charged with embezzling almost $4 million dollars to go on luxury vacations with his girlfriend, who also worked for the Hawks. A WNBA and WNBA players association update — they’ve agreed to a 30-day extension on labor negotiations, so the current collective bargaining agreement now expires Nov. 30. Will help them avoid a work stoppage? The gals sure hope so! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back after an exhilarating Game 7 of the World Series. The LA Dodgers are champions after a heartbreaking loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. The gals talk about Ernie Clement crying in the locker room, Kiké Hernandez trolling Drake, and, most importantly, Miguel Rojas’ Van Cleef & Arpels necklace. F1 driver Charles Leclerc is engaged to Alexandra Malena Saint Mieux, and there’s a new category of compressed flowers: compressed petals. Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers is going to act in an Apple TV+ movie? Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant was suspended…again. Phoenix Suns player Jalen Green got a back tattoo of his girlfriend, Draya Michelle, and Celtics star Jaylen Brown’s hair rubbed off — but he’s leaning into it. NFL Gossip: Robert Kraft and Cardi B sat next to each other at a Patriots game. Jordon Hudson is active on Instagram again. Actor Hailee Steinfeld, wife of Josh Allen, dressed up for Halloween…or did she? And, finally, lots of college football firings and hirings! LSU fired their athletic director, Scott Woodward, Auburn fired their head coach, Hugh Freeze, and former Penn State head coach James Franklin may be getting hired at Virginia Tech? Tens of millions of dollars in the balance, folks! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back with two very special visitors: themselves, as Saturday Night Live’s NPR hosts Margaret Jo McCullin (aka Ana Gasteyer) and Terry Rialto (aka Molly Shannon)! It’s a deliciously dishy episode. The gals start with some World Series gossip, because the games between the Dodgers and Blue Jays have been electric (and involve country singer Brad Paisley). Also, a WNBA update about the collective bargaining agreement. And, finally, the gals give their thoughts on Pablo Torre’s reporting about Jordon Hudson, UNC head coach Bill Belichick’s girlfriend. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The gals are back with a particularly goofy one today, folks — it’s Charlotte’s turn to battle a migraine after Madeline’s flu game two weeks ago, so buckle up (also, they recorded this before that crazy, 18-inning World Series game, so stay tuned for baseball stuff on Thursday). First, a few updates about the gals’ trips around the world. Then, a fantastic interview with college football expert Jessica Smetana about LSU’s $54 million firing of coach Brian Kelly, and why these college coaches keep getting fired for tens of millions of dollars. A Bill and Jordon update—are they engaged??? And some WNBA updates — a new collective bargaining agreement isn’t looking likely by the October 31st deadline. Then, the shock heard round the sports world last week, as Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups, Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier and former Cleveland Cavaliers assistant coach and basketball player Damon Jones (and more) were hit with federal charges of illegal sports gambling and poker rigging schemes allegedly backed by the Mafia. Whoah!A few NFL items: The Steelers uniforms were hideous, Madison Beer and Justin Herbert sat courtside at a Lakers game and attended the Chargers’ Halloween party together, the Patriots rule, and Tom Brady was super online again last week! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are thrilled to welcome Angie “Pumps” Sullivan to the show! Angie is the co-host of the political pop culture show “I’ve Had It Podcast” with Jennifer Welch, and also a huge sports fan. The gals loved talking to her about how sports are inherently political but can still bring people together. Angie and the gals covered a lot of ground, including: how Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is the Donald Trump of the NFL, being liberal in Oklahoma, how Angie’s parents would trade off custody of her at Oklahoma football games, the pre-game prayers at Oklahoma City Thunder games, the drama between parents in youth sports, misogyny in sports, politics, and the judicial system, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and his all-female team, the mess of the Miami Dolphins, Oklahoma softball, why Baker Mayfield’s vibes are so good, why insecure men are actually bad for sports teams, Aaron Rodgers, and the Alabama coach who got fired before he could coach a game because he yelled “Roll Tide” while doing the deed at a party. Plus much, much more! Thanks to Angie for her time — you don’t want to miss this one, folks! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are thrilled to welcome The Athletic’s Fred Katz to the show. Fred is a senior NBA writer who loves to gab, and the gals really were not ready for the amount of information he dropped on them in the first ten minutes. They start out talking about the Knicks — namely, why Josh Hart is living the dream of every seven-year-old who wants to be an NBA player. Plus: the vibes on that team, why Mitchell Robinson is such a character, and if New York can win it all this year. The Oklahoma City Thunder are coming off a title year, and Fred tells the gals about the time that former Thunder star Steven Adams ate 20 fish heads. Is LeBron going to retire? Probably not! Are we idiots? Yes, according to Lakers head coach JJ Redick. Did Mavericks GM Nico Harrison dodge a bullet by drafting Cooper Flagg after letting Luka Doncic go to LA? Does Cooper have a ton of pressure on him? Is Spurs star Victor Wembanyama single-handedly saving reading? And, finally, how is the league responding to the allegations against Clippers owner Steve Ballmer and star Kawhi Leonard? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline has a migraine today, so this is her flu game, and the result is a particularly unhinged and fantastic episode if you ask Charlotte. First, an important announcement: the gals have decided on a name for their audience, and it is: THE SHAREHOLDERS!!! They love it and hope you do, too. Then, NFL Week 7 vibes-based predictions are back, with discussion about the messy Miami Dolphins mixed in. USWNT and NWSL star Christen Press is retiring a year after her wife, Tobin Heath, hung up her cleats. Relationship updates: are Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels and USC basketball star Juju Watkins dating??? And quarterback Justin Herbert and Madison Beer kissed at the Chargers game. In Tayvis news: The Eras Tour documentary will feature Travis Kelce. The gals haven’t talked about the WNBA Finals yet, so they discuss how the Aces swept the Mercury and talk about how generally amazing A’ja Wilson is. Plus: A WNBA collective bargaining agreement update. Celtics head coach Joe Mazzula made Boston media members play the coaches. Penn State head coach James Franklin was fired, and Penn State owes him $50 million….or do they? South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley said she doesn’t think there will be a female NBA coach in her lifetime, and a tennis player who used kissing as his defense in an anti-doping case has been suspended for four years. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are doing things a little differently this week — instead of the normal Tuesday episode, they’re bringing you a special deep dive today into the UNC football program coached by Bill Belichick. Lots of reporting came out last week about the problems within the program, including a report from The Athletic, which college football reporter and UNC alum Grace Raynor contributed to. The gals are thrilled to welcome Grace onto the show to talk about the rumors that Belichick will leave the program, the strange graphic the university put out, the cancelled Hulu documentary, the Jordon Hudson of it all, the arrogance of general manager Mike Lombardi, the vibes at UNC games, and why the name of Bill Belichick’s boat might be to blame for all of this. The gals will be back with a regular gossip rundown episode on Thursday! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
ESPN’s NHL reporter Emily Kaplan joins Madeline and Charlotte to talk about the biggest and best storylines heading into the 2025-2026 hockey season that kicked off on Tuesday. Did you know that there are a ton of brothers playing in the league? That the players fight to defend each other? That Brad Marchand’s current team hated him before he joined it? That Sidney Crosby took a player to get his hair cut? That the NHL is like a family? That WAGs take their jackets very seriously? If you’re looking to get into hockey, Emily’s fun stories and facts about the guys on the ice are a great place to start. The season kicked off on Tuesday, so there’s no better time to brush up on the narratives. Plus: Madeline and Charlotte recap their trip to Buffalo, which included a trip to Niagara Falls, a fiasco at a restaurant where they tried to order wings, and a visit to SGS listener Christina’s amazing tailgate! Thank you to Christina and thank you to Buffalo! The gals will certainly be back. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The gals are back from Buffalo, where they had a phenomenal time and watched Charlotte’s New England Patriots beat Madeline’s Buffalo Bills — full recap of the trip coming on Thursday!Today, there are a few big stories to cover: NBA star LeBron James teased “The Second Decision,” and it ended up being an ad for Hennessy — the internet isn’t fun anymore! The tension between the WNBA commissioner Cathy Englebert and star players, especially Napheesa Collier, reached an all-time high over the weekend and it doesn’t seem to be cooling down anytime soon. The Patriots beat the Bills in a former-Bills player Stefon Diggs revenge game and a statement game for Pats quarterback Drake Maye. UNC head coach Bill Belichick reportedly forbade UNC from posting about Maye, a UNC alum. Parents of UNC players spoke to the press anonymously and it doesn’t seem great down there! The Chiefs’ vibes continue to be very off — Travis Kelce lost on Monday Night Football while Taylor Swift, his fiancee, promoted her album on Jimmy Fallon. Madeline and Charlotte are thrilled to welcome Emmy award-winner Scott Hanson to the show for a very special conversation. Scott is the host of NFL RedZone, Gold Zone during the Olympics, and is in EA Sports’ Madden NFL. If you’re a football fan, he is the voice of your Sundays. But first, the gals discuss the workplace drama in the WNBA. In her exit interview on Tuesday, Lynx star Napheesa Collier called out the league and the commissioner, Cathy Englebert, specifically. She came with receipts and the result was a masterclass in speaking truth to power, especially during the ongoing CBA negotiations. Your employer is not your friend! Then it’s time for the gals’ conversation with Scott. They covered a lot of ground, including: What Scott means to his fans, and how seriously he takes his jobWanting to make sports more accessible How he was rejected from his college program of choice and worked his butt off to get inWhy his habits as a child actually made him perfect for his RedZone jobThe hope of rookie quarterbacksWhy sports are spiritual Why the NFL draft is like a hopeful shareholder’s meeting An incredible story about one of Tony Romo’s groomsmenAnd much more! Thanks again to Scott, and you can find information about RedZone at nfl.com/redzone Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte have some news: they’re going to Buffalo for the Bills-Patriots game this weekend, so invite them to your tailgate! The gals also need suggestions for what to call the audience of The Sports Gossip Show. Now, the drama: Bad Bunny is performing the Super Bowl halftime show, and the announcement was anticlimactic. LeBron James posted a Reel on Instagram that seems very retirement-coded — Taylor Swift isn’t the only one doing numerology over here! In NFL news, Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart *didn’t* say anything about Chargers’ QB Justin Herbert’s girlfriend Madison Beer. Cowboys-Packers revenge game ended in a tie, which was also anticlimactic. The WNBA tea is hot this week. Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve was suspended and fined for running onto the court and comments she made about the officiating after a foul wasn’t called on the Mercury’s Alyssa Thomas, who collided with Lynx star Napheesa Collier. The Aces head coach Becky Hammon and Fever head coach Stephanie White both got fined for backing Reeves up. All of this brings up a bigger issue: The officiating in the WNBA needs to improve. Plus: Aces-Fever Game 5 tonight! The MLB postseason is here! The Red Sox play the Yankees, the Mets Metsed themselves, and money can’t solve all your problems (unless you’re moving). Fans at the Ryder Cup need to be better after they threw beer at golfer Rory McIlroy’s wife. Madeline’s Georgia Dawgs broke her heart by losing to Alabama at home. We need more drama surrounding Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin’s daughter dating an LSU star. And, finally, Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson went to Nantucket during football season. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Sports Gossip Show officially turns one today, so Madeline and Charlotte get a little sentimental looking back at a crazy 12 months since they started this show in Charlotte’s apartment. Thank you so much to everyone who’s listened, watched, and subscribed, to The Athletic for bringing SGS on board, and to the husbands of the show — the gals couldn’t have done it without any of you. Then, The Athletic’s own women’s basketball expert Ben Pickman comes on the show to update everybody on the WNBA Playoffs. They talk about how Ben thinks the Aces will go all the way, how the Fever are in it despite all the injuries (obviously including Caitlin Clark), how the Lynx blew a 20-point lead, and why the Mercury’s vibes have been so good. Also — great reality show drama between coaches, why it isn’t surprising that the Liberty let coach Sandy Brondello go, the rise of athlete podcasts, who’s dating who in the league, and much more! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back with a jam-packed show! Some quick hits from Europe: Harry Styles ran the Berlin marathon very quickly under a weird pseudonym, and F1 drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz drove a van to Monaco after their flight was delayed. Then, the thing everyone wants to know about: Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin’s daughter hard-launched her relationship with LSU player Whit Weeks and it’s mind game city. The gals didn’t do so well in their NFL Week 3 vibes-based picks, the Chiefs’ vibes are still not great, and the Giants may be a toxic workplace given the success of Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley outside of the organization. Aces star A’ja Wilson won MVP for the fourth time and basketball stars Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd remain adorable (don’t worry, full WNBA playoff episode is dropping Thursday). There is a lot of golf drama having to do with the Ryder Cup — it involves “the purity of the game” and Bryson DeChambeau vs. Rory McIlroy….again. The gals find out in real time that the NY Liberty fired head coach Sandy Brondello a year after she won a championship?????Jordon Hudson is still on the field at UNC, the Mariners had a curse lifted by a witch on Etsy, and tennis star Felix Auger-Aliassime got married and the flowers weren’t compressed!!!! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte look at the Week 3 slate of NFL games and choose their winners using only the vibes of the teams. The gals went 12/16 last week — so don’t overthink it, folks! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

peak chaotic energy in the best way. Madeline and Charlotte dive into wild rumors (Taylor Swift on Kelce’s podcast??), give thoughtful updates (Jordon Hudson, Embiid’s injury), and somehow make even athlete weddings entertaining. https://www.hctra.it.com
