Now that the celebrations have ended, we have to talk about NFL free agency and Spring Training!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It’s a special Friday edition of Beat Bucky! :30- The guys head to Spring Training tomorrow and they’ll be broadcasting from Peoria all next week, so we have a little preview of what we are looking forward to. From camp battles, to interviews, it’s going to be great! :45- We wrap up the week with Booze news!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We cover the top 8 sports stories of the week in the OCHO. 1. The Seahawks are Super Bowl Champs 2. And the Championship celebration was lit as almost a million people gathered on the streets of Seattle for the parade. 3. The offseason is already underway 4. Now it’s time for Mariners Spring training 5. Did you know it’s NBA all-star weekend? 6. UW MBB really needs a win 7. Olympics continue in Italy 8. Today is Friday the 13th :30- Chuck went shopping yesterday and stumbled upon Seahawks Super Bowl Valentine’s Day cards and they may be the best cards yet! :45- The Trinidad Chambliss roller-coaster ride seems to have come to an end as he was granted another year of eligibility after initially being denied. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Headlines and 12th man news with GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) We can officially start the offseason conversations and we begin the with OC search as the Seahawks have begun their internal interviews. Realistically, what are the chances that the Seahawks bring back Ken Walker? If they aren’t doling out the big money to Walker, who would it go to? Who should we be prepared for as far as departing players? :30- DUSTIN NICKERSON, that’s right, Jokey Boy joins the show to talk about how he enjoyed the Super Bowl and it was a lot different that how we watched, that’s for sure! :45- Can you even wrap your mind around this trade proposal? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
When Friday the 13th and Valentine’s Day collide… Now that the Super Bowl and it’s celebrations are over, it’s time to focus on free agency and the Seahawks have 7 free-agents that would all be great to have back. Will the Seahawks be able to bring them all back and if not, which guys should be the priority? Would you consider franchise-tagging Ken Walker at $14 million? Would you re-sign Shaheed at $14 million? :30- Did you know it was NBA All-Star weekend? Yeah, some of us didn’t either… Could we hear more from Adam Silver on the possibility of expansion? Have our views or level of excitement changed as the buzz seems to be ramping up? :45- How concerned are we or should we be about losing Klint Kubiak and having find a new Seahawks OC? It's a post-parade best of!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We decided an extra segment of the 12th man roundtable was necessary; there’s just too much to talk about! We start with a discussion about JSN and the season he had. What’s the top offseason priority for Schneider? Is it imperative to get Ken Walker back? How worried should we be about losing Kubiak? :30- It’s time for one final conversation with MIKE SANDO (The Athletic) as we wrap up the 2025 Seahawks season. What did Mike think of the game and the Seahawks dominance over the Paatriots? What moves does he anticipate this offseason? Does he think they Hawks can do it again next year? Where will Sam Darnold start 2026 as far as QB tiers? :45- We close out the Thursday show with one last thing! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
12th Man Roundtable with HUGH MILLEN and GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) We get everyone’s thoughts on yesterday’s parade to start. What a special moment for Seattle. How did Hugh feel about Ernest Jones declaration? When looking back at SB tape, it looked like Mike MacDonald knew everything the Patriots were going to do, what would Hugh and Gregg credit that to? How integral was Nick Emmanwori to this SB win? :30- Sam Darnold is still getting a lot of attention, but one thing is clear, he is beloved by his teammates and coaches. :45- Coaching turnover and continuity heading into next season- will the Hawks be able to retain most of their coaching staff? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Headlines and the lovefest on Parade Day. The relationship between Seattle fans and their teams these days is something pretty special. :30- What’s next for Ken Walker? Will he be able to work out a deal with the Seahawks this offseason or be wearing a different uniform next season? How is the relationship between Walker and Schneider? :45- The criticism of Sam Darnold has changed. Now people can accept he won a Super Bowl, but are already questioning if he can do it again. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The Seahawks Super Bowl Championship parade was a success. Estimates say 1 million people attended and there were no issues along the 2 mile parade route. What a celebration it was for the fans and the players, a lot of whom couldn’t stay on the buses and had to get out to mingle with fans along the route. :30- What’s Going On In Other Sports: Part Deux. - What’s going on with so many hamate bone injuries? - What’s going on with tanking in the NBA? - What’s going on with Jake and Jutta? :45- Jessamyn caught up with all the key players immediately after the Seahawks Super Bowl win and today we hear from the GM, John Schneider. It's Parade Day and we are celebrating the Seahawks with the 12's live at Jimmy's!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It seems appropriate to have an impromptu roundtable right about now as GREGG BELL and IAN FURNESS join Chuck and Buck at Jimmy’s and the place is packed! We reminisce about the last time we celebrated a Championship here in Seattle and share our thoughts on this year’s team and celebration. :30- We are taking it all in at Jimmy’s ahead of today’s big celebration and it’s getting noticeably quieter as the crowd is making it’s way to Lumen Field. :45- We close out this Championship celebration show with one last thing! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It’s #8 at 8 as MATT HASSELBECK joins us for the final time this season. - How will Matt be celebrating today? - What did he think of that defensive performance on Sunday? - What does he have to say to the critics of Sam Darnold? :30- Let’s be honest, if DK Metcalf and Geno Smith were still here, we wouldn’t be celebrating today. Yes, DK is very talented and Geno was good while here, but the moves allowed this team to get where they are today. :45- Nick Emmanwori has quickly become a fan favorite after a remarkable rookie season. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Headlines and 12th man news with GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) It’s Parade day! What does Gregg recall from the last Championship parade? How special is this team and what they accomplished? There’s always an element of vulnerability in a Championship team, it feels like this organization is set up pretty perfectly to try and do this again next year. :30- We keep Gregg for one more segment and the conversation shifts to this Seahawks offensive line. - Who does gregg attribute the improvement in the O-Line to? - Does he expect a lot of coaching turnover with Kubiak leaving? - How special is Grey Zabel? :45- We get not-so Reckless at Breakfast on parade day with some rules for parading! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
- It’s Parade Day! The Seahawks Super Bowl rally and parade are taking place this morning and people are already starting to arrive downtown to get ready for the celebration. Let the conversations about the Seahawks future begin as the questions about contracts will get underway soon as will the conversations about how hard it is to get back to the Super Bowl. Is this team better prepared than most to do just that? :30- Sam Darnold got the job done. No turnovers in the playoffs and no, he didn’t put up spectacular numbers, but he did his part and what was asked of him. Darnold is only 28 and proof that age and team really are factors in a struggle early on in a career. :45- Schneider’s moves over these last few years have been spot on. GENE STERATORE (CBS Rules Analyst) makes his final visit of the 2025 football season. - The first flag wasn’t thrown until the clock was under 4 in the 1st quarter, were the refs just letting them play or was it that clean of a game? - In the 1st drive of the game, Kupp caught a ball that he bobbled heading out of bounds, if the Pats had challenged would it have been overturned? - Did Gene think that Cooper Kupp play was a catch or did the refs get it right? - How were no flags thrown during that sideline scuffle between Diggs and Jobe? - Uchenna got credit for a pick 6, but was it an interception or a fumble? :30- A look at the relationship between John Schneider and Mike MacDonald and how it may differ from Pete and John. :45- We haven’t gotten to talk much about the Super Bowl ads because it turns out there’s a lot to talk about from the actual game when your team is in it! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Headlines and 12th Man News with GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) - Would Gregg be surprised if the Seahawks extended MacDonald right away? - What’s next for Ken Walker? And how much has his stock increased in the last 3 weeks? - Sam Darnold and Ken Walker rode the teacups at Disneyland and it seems symbolic of this team. :30- Is this Seahawks team better set up for a dynasty than the last Super Bowl winning team? :45- Football lady is here! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We are starting off the show with a visit from CHARLES DAVIS (CBS Sports) What did Charles think of the Seahawks’ Super Bowl win? How would Charles compare this team to the 2013 team? Why might it be different this time around? What’s the future for Ken Walker as a Seahawk?
