Last season we unpacked the process of sending your kid to daycare & all the fun that comes with it (the bugs, mainly the bugs) so today we're discussing the logistics of going back to work. You already know our personal back to work stories, Kee went back after a year & then threw in the towel to freelance and Kel just took no time off at all. So today we're chatting to two glorious Sh*tters (Sandy & Lily) who have had very different experiences entering back into the workforce. Sandy is a mum to 3 young kids, who not only juggles her own nursing career, but also supports her husband who's currently studying to become a surgeon. Lily is a mum of one, with another on the way, whose identity completely changed after becoming a first time mum. This led to a return-to-work at four months postpartum, a career change and another (career) baby; Launch Mama, a program dedicated to helping mums navigate their transition back into the workforce. To post cute pics of your kid, or to not post cute pics of your kid, that is the question. Kee and Kelly dive into the murky waters of kids and social media, sharing their personal takes on whether or not to share their children’s lives online. They discuss everything from setting boundaries and protecting privacy to the rise of mumfluencers who turn their kids into content for likes and followers. It’s a candid chat about where to draw the line between sharing and oversharing and the impact it can have on kids growing up in the digital age. We're kicking Season 3 off with a good old fashioned "pervy" Q&A, answering the juiciest questions sent in by you, our lovely Sh*tters! In this ep we cover everything from interracial relationships & biggest regrets in life to what we did with our pubic hair during pregnancy and childbirth. So strap in & get ready for all our dirty little secrets. Milestones can cause pure panic for parents, especially first-timers. Designed as a guide to track whether a child's development is on track, the truth of it is they leave us feeling smug if the kid is miles ahead and like we’re failing if they’re nowhere near. In this ep, we breakdown the milestones that freaked us out the most & how we dealt with the pressure of 'the timeline'. Then later in the ep, we have a lovely Sh*tter, Beth joining us for a chat. Beth is a mother of 3 young boys (with another on the way!) who have each developed in very different ways, and on very different timelines. Beth discusses the approach she took for each kid and how she avoided the comparison game. When we asked our Sh*tters what they wanted us to talk about on the pod, 'resentment' was one of the most highly requested topics. As it turns out, MANY of us can’t stand the person we had a child with and around 1 in 5 couples call it quits within the first 12 months of becoming parents. So today we're putting it all on the table - we chat through key moments that leave us feeling resentful and how we (try to) tackle resentment in a healthy way. Then later on, we chat to Sh*tter, Lauren who left her partner not long after bringing their baby boy home. Lauren talks us through what happened and when she knew it was time to leave. It’s Peak & Pit time, and this week we’re talking about the mental load of kids’ birthday parties - aka the part where you’re meant to be “making memories” while quietly spiralling over helium, food orders, decorations, and why you’re somehow the CEO of the entire event. Meanwhile, Kel has a medical admin moment that turns into a full-body workout. Four-year-olds: old enough to sound wildly reasonable… until they’re absolutely not. This week, Kee and Kelly are officially in the “fkd up fours” era, so they call in the big guns: Gen Muir from Connected Parenting. Gen breaks down what’s actually happening in the four-year-old brain (and why it can feel worse than two), why “bad behaviour” is often just big feelings + zero skills… and how boundaries can be the thing that makes everyone feel safer. It’s Peak & Pit and we’ve got big feelings over small things. Kee’s riding the high of a genuinely sweet family moment - then free-falls into a pit sparked by something so small it shouldn’t have the power to ruin a morning… and yet. Kel, meanwhile, is navigating a routine shake-up that’s hit her right in the feelings, plus she’s in her Oura ring era like it’s going to personally fix her nervous system. Kee’s officially hit the postpartum wall - the one where you’re meant to be “grateful” and “bouncing back”… but instead you’re staring at your body like it belongs to someone else. This episode is about the sneaky ways body hate shows up after kids: the clothes that don’t fit, the photos you dread and why it can feel impossible to talk about without sounding ungrateful. It’s Peak & Pit and the emotional range this week is wide. Kee hits a massive parenting milestone that should feel like a win - except she’s the one crying. Suki? Fine. Happy. Already moving on. Meanwhile, Kel basically manifests Paris. Casual. It’s chaos. It’s growth. It’s Friday. Kelly and Kee are eating humble pie. Because a single mum slid into their DMs and (very politely) pointed out what happens when you say “just keep your sick kid home”… but you don’t have a partner, family nearby, or anyone to tag in. So we brought her on. Meet Alice: solo mum to an 8-year-old, running a one-woman household with zero backup. We talk the relentless mental load, the stuff that keeps single mums up at night, the stigma (and double standards), and the kind of support that actually helps. Consider this an apology, a perspective shift, and a reminder to include single mums properly - not as an afterthought. It’s Peak & Pit time - and this week delivers a full-body birthday spiral, a daycare room glow-up that somehow feels heartbreaking, and the kind of night-weaning chaos that makes you want to file a formal complaint against your own nipples. Kel relives Lenny’s actual birthday: the cursed Women’s Weekly-style cake mission, the absolute audacity of a partner doing the wrong job badly, and a pub celebration that ends with… yes… screaming at the cake and mum. It starts as an innocent mum-chat and ends in a full-blown research spiral: when are you meant to send your kid to school… and why does it feel like everyone’s suddenly delaying? This week, Kee takes the reins on the school start age debate - from cut-off dates and state-by-state chaos, to the real reasons parents are choosing “later”, and why “the studies say…” isn’t as straightforward as it sounds. It’s Friday - so we’re doing our weekly peaks and pits: a proper catch-up between friends, equal parts vent and tiny victory lap. This week we’re coming to you from that end-of-January zone where everyone’s out of routine, the kids are a lot, and you’re trying to hold it together on vibes alone… but there are a couple of moments that save it. Ever walked away from a catch-up feeling worse than when you arrived? This episode is for anyone who’s been burned by mum-friend dynamics - the subtle exclusion, the “nice but not really” energy, the unspoken rules - and wondered if it’s just you… or if the vibe is actually toxic. Kee and Kelly unpack how these dynamics play out in mother’s group friendships, why the pressure to “make a village” can keep you in something that doesn’t feel good, and the boundaries that help when you can’t (or don’t want to) do the whole clique thing. We’re weeks late to the holiday recap… because we’re parents and time isn’t real in January. The road trip was a win. Christmas was good - with feelings attached. Hello hello, and welcome back to Eat Sleep Repeat in 2026! We’re easing into the year the only way we know how - with big intentions, low expectations, and a very honest look at all the goals we absolutely did not achieve last year. Kee and Kelly take a hilarious trip down memory lane to revisit their 2025 goals that never stood a chance… with a few wins in there too. Now it’s on to 2026 - and this year, we’re doing it differently: goals that actually fit real life, a little more structure, and a lot less pressure. Think small habits, monthly check-ins, and a couple of big scary goals we’re saying out loud so we can’t chicken out. Why does making friends as an adult (and especially as a parent) feel so darn hard? Between juggling kids, work, a busy netty schedule (too niche?) and general exhaustion, it can feel impossible to connect beyond small talk at daycare drop-off. In this episode, we dive into how to make friends as a parent, why it feels awkward, and how to build real, meaningful friendships in the chaos of raising kids. From playground politics to mum-group awkwardness, we’re getting real about what it’s like trying to find your people in parenthood. Kee is back in the studio and the past few months have been… busy to say the least! Think moving house with two kids, a dog, and a mental load that did not take a holiday. In today’s episode, she and Kelly chat about how a change of space can shift how you feel, new realisations that come with a new baby, and what it took for Kee to pull herself out of survival mode.
