In our Season 1 finale, we uncover the creative and technical process behind HNI’s award-winning “Key Wizard” feature. Guest host Terese Acou is joined by Amanda Adams (HNI), Acuan Longatti (Encodec), and Vinicius Romano (Encodec) to explore how a spark of imagination turned into a real shipping product. We’ll dig into how teams collaborate, experiment, and adapt, as well as why a little bit of magic is always part of building something innovative.
So what is Configura really like? Who better to ask than our CEO? Join us as we get to know Stefan Persson (however you wish to pronounce "Stefan") and talk about our values, what makes Configura a great place to work, and where we shine as a team. And about that question: Will Design Thinking make you better at Tetris? Spoiler: maybe. But good luck beating Stefan, former Nintendo gamer and record breaker. What you can do is apply Design Thinking at every level of the company, including the C-suite. And stick around until the end for a quick Nerd Alert segment featuring none other than our founder, Johan Lyreborn, explaining what PGC means.
Have you been wondering what this 'Design Thinking' Thing is all about? We talk more explicitly about 'Design Thinking' with the great Evelina Hagelin on the matter. Specifically, how its helping Configura get back to it's roots, to empathize and understand our user community better. We also explore exactly how one pronounces 'Hagelin', macaroni & cheese and a new strategy for planning weddings.
In this special Halloween episode, we’re pulling back the curtain to learn a little more about our hosts and their favorite Halloween memories—past and present. Along the way, we’ll sneak in a bit of design thinking as we chat about costume creativity, what makes a spooky movie truly work, and how Halloween inspires imagination. 🎃 Happy Halloween!
What happens when passionate users and curious developers walk into a (virtual) room? Adam and Audrey find out with Joanna Jablonski, Design Manager at Henricksen, CET superstar, and all-around design whisperer. From art school in Poland to accidentally sitting in a space she designed years earlier, Joanna shares how creativity, collaboration, and a dash of serendipity shape her world. The trio trades thoughts on smarter workflows, UX “diseases,” and the eternal popcorn-versus-chips debate, all in pursuit of one simple goal: making designers’ lives easier.
In this episode of Snap Into It, we are lucky to be blessed with the presence of power user and constant Experience speaker Sydney Watkins about some of the terms used in the Commercial Interiors Industry. We also cover some terms used by Developers in the ecosystem. Will Sydney define a 'system' to the satisfaction of the CI Community? Will Adam give proper context to the term 'snapper'? Find out now!
In this episode of Snap Into It, we (not by force, we promise!) bring in the awesome (and hilarious) Allie Shareghi to talk about Support. We discuss our design-thinking approach to an ongoing support improvement project, that was kicked off with Audrey's help. Join us to learn a little bit more about how we determined what we might need to improve, and a peek behind the scenes for what we've found out so far! Join Allie next week at #Experience2025 with Megan Hartman from HNI for their talk on Self-Diagnosis and Reporting issues in CET!
In this episode of Snap Into It, we (okay, mostly Audrey) take you back to NeoCon, where we recorded conversations with innovators who saw a need and created solutions—showing the true power of design thinking. We kick things off with Kaylie Tucker of Kovergent Solutions, who developed Konsol, an extension designed to save users days of time when making cut sheets. We also caught up with the development team at Platinum Edge Solutions, including Bryan Thompson and Sierra Santoyo, to hear about their process. Next, Bryan Mayer of Mayer Fabrics joins Audrey to share insights on the Material Portal and introduce Mayer’s new vinyl fabric—a sustainable response to the challenges of traditional vinyl. Finally, Adam and Audrey team up to chat with Jason Lund, who created Aura, a tool that delivers the benefits of render acceleration without requiring expensive hardware. And yes—we recorded this one right in the fantastic SnapCab booth at NeoCon. For more information about our products, visit: http://www.configura.com
