The Tape Library - Archive of the Paranormal & the Unexplained

Some paranormal encounters are terrifying. Others are so strange that it's difficult to know what to make of them. In The Darkest Paranormal Cases, we're joined by an extraordinary collection of voices from across the paranormal community to explore the disturbing, the bizarre and the unexplained. From the tragic history and reported hauntings of Manila's infamous Film Center to shadowy figures in Japan, mysterious entities that lure children, and encounters with things that shouldn't exist, these are stories that defy easy explanation. Along the way, we'll encounter a haunted clock, a flying poster, a giant Winnie the Pooh, the ghost of Freddie Mercury, and even a Bigfoot hunt that takes a turn into the paranormal. Some are strange, some are unbelievable. But the phenomena doesn't always present itself in a straight forward manner. To close the episode, we share a listener's account of a stay at a French castle where an ordinary visit seemed to become something altogether more surreal. An experience that left her wondering whether she'd somehow crossed into an alternative reality. Beneath its dark waters lie hundreds of shipwrecks, while its shores have long been associated with strange lights, ghost stories, mysterious creatures and tales of sailors who never came home.
