This episode is a little different from my usual career content. It is a raw, unfiltered reflection on my experience healing from diet culture. I talk about my running journey and how I went from using running as a way to lose weight, to using running as a way to celebrate myself and my body. I mention two people who have been absolutely pivotal in this journey, Food and Holistic Health Coach Naihomy Jerez, and Certified Personal Trainer Samantha Lee. I also talk about the systems of oppression that impact food systems, how we nourish ourselves, and the disordered behaviors that are marketed as “healthy.” CONTENT WARNING: This episode contains references to disordered eating behaviors.
