It's one year later and we've followed Sydney Prescott to freshman year in college, with Scream 2 (1997). Our new scooby gang includes Jerry O'Connell, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Timothy Olyphant. Also, Gail and Dewey picking the worst moments to get it on. In honor of the upcoming release of the 7th film in the series, we are coving Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson's classic, Scream (1996). Headed up by Neve Campbell, this ground breaking meta teen slasher opens with the most memorable scene with Drew Barrymore. We finish up our first Hitchcock month of 2026 with 1945's Spellbound. Starring the breathtaking Ingrid Bergman and Gregory Peck (Baby Greg Peck!), this psychological thriller had us more enthralled by their love story than by the actual murder and mystery unfolding around them.Ween isn't over the Full Moon for Puppet Master, for this weeks Tubi or Not TubiWhat We're WatchingCameo - Dan Avidan (thank you, Dan. We are moving forward in Hitchcock Month #3 with 1950's, Stage Fright, starring stunning Merlene Dietrich and doe-eyed Jane Wyman. Join us in the wings, as we take in a local show of murder, affairs, and conspiracy. This also co-stars the delightful Alistair Sims, before starring as Ebenezer Scrooge. We are moving on for Hitchcock month and jumping a bit ahead chronologically, with 1948's, Rope. Loosely based on the crime of Leopold and Loeb, Rope tells the direct aftermath of the murder of a young man by his supposed friends and the psychological lengths the killers will take to feel superior. Co-starring Jimmy Stewart, this is one of Hitch's most overlooked but possibly best films. After a brief hiatus (December was rough for us, guys), we are starting 2026 with our third Alfred Hitchcock month! Chronologically, we've arrived at Shadow of a Doubt (1943). Come be confused by the weird incestuous undertones, the overuse of the name Charlie, and one of the sexiest voices in hollywood, Joe Cotton. Loosely based on the serial killer Earle Nelson, the movie centers on the Merry Widow's incognito vacation to Santa Rosa. Rae took an enjoyable Return to Horror High (1987) for this weeks Tubi or Not TubiWhat We're WatchingHeated Rivalry, duh.Up Next: RopeWhere to Find us:InstagramThreadsFacebookYoutubeTikTokLetterboxdboozeboobsandbloodpodcast@gmail.comb3horrorpodcast.combluesky: @b3podcast.bsky.social Hosted on Acast. We end our Christmas holiday selections with 2017's horror comedy musical, Anna and the Apocalypse. Ween is under the weather so Rae took charge...and wowzer, she's all over the place. Anna and the apocalypse is the story of a zombie outbreak on Christmas morning in a small Scottish town, and singing ensues. Rae hunts for a better holiday horror to cleanse the palette from Werewolf Santa for this week's Tubi or Not Tubi. Don't believe what you hear about Candy Elves...this week we continue with the small screen holiday comedy gem, Red Snow (2021). You can definitely tell this was filmed during COVID, due to the lack of neck bits. Dark Romance novelist and vampire aficionado nurses an injured bat back to health only to quickly discover that this sin't just any flying rodent, it can transform into a full out vampire! Ho! Ho! Ho! This week we cover the baffling incestuous nazi filled Christmas adjacent horror movie, Elves (1989). What felt like a fever dream and was equally difficult to describe, this was a hit for us. If you want to be confused for 90 minutes by muffled dialogue, almost indecipherable darkly lit scenes, and Elves that have been around since Noah's ark, this is the movie for you.Rae joins a sorority and has a pretty decent time with Mrs. Claus for this week's Tubi or Not TubiWhat We're WatchingSeverancePredator: BadlandsWhere to Find us:InstagramThreadsFacebookYoutubeTikTokLetterboxdboozeboobsandbloodpodcast@gmail.comb3horrorpodcast.combluesky: @b3podcast.bsky.social Hosted on Acast. Tis the Season for holiday horror! We start our Christmas horror month with a movie we've put off for so long because it's special to us: The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993). We discuss the visual masterpiece brought to the screen by Henry Selick with gorgeous music by the GOAT Danny Elfman. Bonus - this episode is a little long because we also have a Frankenstein 2025 review!Ween goes deep-sea fishing with the Polonia Bros in the hopes of catching a Cocaine Shark for this week's Tubi or Not Tubi.Where to Find us:InstagramThreadsFacebookYoutubeTikTokLetterboxdboozeboobsandbloodpodcast@gmail.comb3horrorpodcast.combluesky: @b3podcast.bsky.social Hosted on Acast. We saved the best for last! The final selection in our Year of the Horror Directors is the Pope of Chili-Town himself, Roger Corman. We start the month with his 1960 sci-fi horror comedy, Little Shop of Horrors. A lowly flower-shop assistant nurtures a carnivorous plant with a taste for human flesh. OzTober ends with Perkins insanely funny and infinitely gory adaptation of the similarly named Stephen King short story, The Monkey (2025). OzTober carries on and we hit 150 episodes with Perkins insanely overhyped Longlegs (2024). Did you want to know what Clarice Starling in Sliding Doors would look like? Look no further! This movie is a blend of psychological thriller with a supernatural bent that is NOT needed. OzTober carries on with Mr. Perkins 2020 witchy hit, Gretel and Hansel. A fresh and intelligent retelling of the Brothers Grimm dark fairytale with a blend of feminine and folk horror It's very reminiscent of Eggers, The Witch, and The Blair Witch Project in its atmospheric tone and special effects that often border on the grotesque.
