I gave them invisibility. Some thought it was a blessing. Others thought it was punishment. And the truth is — I wasn’t sure either.
I gave them shadows… to teach them contrast. Instead, they learned fear. They learned shame. They learned to stare at the floorinstead of into each other. All I wanted was dimension. Instead… they flattened.
I watched. I watched them collapse their entire identity inward. Fold themselves like paper until nothing was left but image.
