Description

Atlanta's Own is an Atlanta Sports Podcast dedicated to discussing all things related to the Falcons, Braves and Hawks. We are starting to sprinkle a little Atlanta United in as well.

The show is hosted by two Atlanta natives who are diehard, life long pro Atlanta sports fans who want to share the love and pain of being an Atlanta sports fan with as many people as possible.

Each episode covers the weekly news for the professional teams as well as opinions and insight of these stories. Our topic of the week segment is more of a roundtable discussion about a particular issue, opinion or idea pertaining to one of the teams or Atlanta sports as a whole.

The show started in March of 2017 and we hope it can grow into a must listen experience for all fans of our Atlanta teams. The show contains some vulgarity as being an Atlanta sports fan has made us cynical and bitter at times.

The boys break down the positives and negatives of a 4-2 start for the Braves and wax poetically over the Hawks' continued dominance.
The boys and special guest Vee Waldrop (Graham's mom!), break down how they think the 2026 season will shake out for the Braves as opening day is upon us.  They then turn their attention to the insanely hot Atlanta Hawks as they continue their ascension of the Eastern Conference standings, fresh off a stunning victory against top seeded Detroit.
Join the boys on an absolutely slammed Atlanta's own where we talk about the very busy Falcons front office, including analysis on the signing of Tua Tagovailoa and what that means for Mike Penix. They also discuss the Hawks recent winning ways and what's keyed this successful late season surge and dive into the details of Braves Vision.
The boys break down a busy week in Atlanta sports. Kyle Pitts was franchise tagged, Kirko's getting cut, Chris Sale will be in Atlanta until at least 2027, and how much fun we're having watching Johnathan Kuminga on the Hawks so far.
The boys reflect and try to grow in a cathartic episode in which they analyze the state of Atlanta sports as a whole and discuss where they must find gratitude and joy in a sports town that makes it very hard to do so.
The boys dive into another weekly dose of misery! James Pearce just ruined his life and Spencer Schwellenbach may miss the entire 2026 season.
The boys break down the Ian Cunningham presser and dare I say, get a little excited about the future with a new brain trust in place. They also discuss the Braves breaking off from Fan Duel Sports to make their own TV network and crown Jalen Johnson as the present and future of the Hawks.  Note: We recorded this the night before the Johnathan Kuminga trade, so none of those details are discussed here.
The boys react to Stefanski's presser and the Christian Koloko era has begun for the Hawks.
The boys break down Kevin Stefanski and his newly assembled coaching staff and congratulate Andrew Jones on his long overdue Hall of Fame induction.
The boys return and transition is in the air in 2026. The Falcons have fired their underperforming coach and GM and begin their search for a new regime to potentially be headed by Matt Ryan. Insanity? Desperation? Genius? Listen to find out what we think. We then discuss Trae Young's departure (which happened a couple hours after we recorded) as we wonder where it all went wrong for the Hawks and Trae Young.
The boys break down the crazy win the Falcons enjoyed over Tampa Bay and come to the conclusion that it should not save Terry or Rah. They also break down the Braves new free agent acquisitions in Mike Yastrzemski and NL saves leader, Robert Suarez.
The boys break down how they would fix the Falcons in the offseason if they were in charge and then discuss a fatal flaw in Quin Snyder's rotation for the Hawks.
The boys dive into the black hole that is being a Falcons fan and then shift gears to the upstart Hawks and tell you why you should believe in them this year.
The boys somberly make their way through the Falcons' miserable loss to the Colts, learn something shocking about Mike Penix and the support system around him (or lack thereof), and discuss new Braves manager, Walt Weiss.
The boys recap the horror of the Falcons mind bending destruction by the hands of the (at the time) 1-6 Dolphins and welcome intern Jared to the show to preview the pivotal matchup against the Patriots. Graham also yells a lot about the Falcons top brass in a rather over the top display of agony. There's an explicit tag on each episode for a reason, but... this one takes the cake.
The boys recap a depressing loss to San Francisco and look forward to hopefully brighter times ahead as the dawn of a promising Hawks season approaches.
The boys break down the Falcons stunning triumph over Buffalo, led by the incomparable Bijan Robinson and what might be the best defense in football. WHAT?
The boys break down AA's presser detailing the decision behind Snit stepping down as manager and preview the big MNF game against the Bills.
The boys reflect on the legacy of Brian Snitker as the long time skipper announced his retirement after the conclusion of the 2025 season. They also discuss the Falcons' recent victory of Washington and wonder if the team gain any semblance of consistency with a tough test ahead against Buffalo.
The boys break down the frustrating loss to Tampa Bay and wearily turn their eyes to Minnesota to preview Sunday Night Football against the Vikings.
