Have you looked in the mirror lately and thought… “Why is my skin suddenly dry, dull, sensitive, or breaking out?”
You’re not imagining it — and you’re definitely not alone.
In this empowering episode of The No Expiration Date Podcast, we’re diving deep into how perimenopause and menopause impact your skin — and what you can actually do about it. Hormonal shifts in midlife change collagen production, skin elasticity, hydration levels, and even your skin’s pH. The products that worked in your 30s and 40s? They may not be cutting it anymore.
We’re joined by licensed, award-winning esthetician Jen Robinson, owner of Piel Bella Skincare, who brings over 12 years of experience in corrective skincare, Korean skincare techniques, and oncology-trained esthetics.
Jen breaks down:
The most common skin changes during perimenopause and menopause
Why dryness, dullness, and sensitivity increase
The truth about over-exfoliating (and why less is more)
The ingredients mature skin truly needs (hello, hyaluronic acid + vitamin C)
How lifestyle factors like stress, caffeine, alcohol, sleep, and nutrition impact your glow
When to see an esthetician — and what treatments actually help in your 40s and 50s
Oxygen facials, hydrofacials, and hydration-focused treatments for midlife skin
Why sunscreen is still your #1 anti-aging tool
How to reframe aging skin as evolving, not failing
We also have a powerful moment discussing oncology-trained skincare and how women undergoing or recovering from cancer treatments can safely care for fragile, changing skin.
This conversation isn’t about chasing youth.
It’s about supporting your skin with intention, knowledge, and confidence.
Because your skin isn’t betraying you — it’s communicating with you.

Hey ladies, welcome back to The No Expiration Date Podcast, where we remind women that midlife is not a decline — it’s a redesign.
Today we’re talking about something many women feel but don’t always say out loud: feeling invisible in midlife. That moment when you walk into a room and feel overlooked… when men stop noticing you… when younger colleagues talk over you… and when you hesitate to speak up because you don’t want to be labeled “difficult” — or worse… a Karen.
We get honest about where invisibility shows up most (socially, professionally, or romantically), why it can hit hard after divorce or big life transitions, and how self-esteem and confidence play a huge role in whether we shrink… or take up space.
We also share real-world stats that prove it’s not “all in your head” — including the AARP finding that two out of three women 45+ report feeling invisible in society — and we talk about how ageism shows up everywhere, from dating culture to the media.
Then we move into practical, doable tips to help you feel more empowered immediately:
Posture is power (shoulders back, chin level, eye contact—without staring like a weirdo 😅)
Voice control (stop pre-apologizing, ditch “just,” and speak like you mean it)
Fashion confidence (structured pieces, comfort, accessories, and dressing for you—even if it’s just for a trip to H-E-B… welcome to the “Haus of HEB” movement!)
Bottom line: You are not fading — you are seasoned. You deserve to be in every room you walk into, and you don’t need permission to be seen, heard, or respected.
If this episode hits home, share it with a friend who needs the reminder: there is absolutely no expiration date on your confidence, your voice, or your presence.

Is It Ever Too Late to Lift Weights? Spoiler: Absolutely Not.
In this episode of The No Expiration Date Podcast, we sit down with personal trainer Kassandra to bust myths, drop science, and have some very real talk about why strength training is non-negotiable in midlife.
Kassandra shares her journey from a high-stress career in banking to finding freedom, confidence, and purpose through lifting—and why helping women in midlife reclaim their strength (physically and mentally) lights her up.
We cover:
Why strength training is critical during perimenopause and menopause
The truth about the “bulky” myth (and why it refuses to die)
How lifting supports bone density, metabolism, hormones, and longevity
Why cardio alone isn’t enough anymore
The role of estrogen, testosterone, and muscle mass as we age
How strength training improves everyday life—groceries, stairs, moving, and yes… future grandkids
Common mistakes women make in the gym (hello, treadmill comfort zone 👀)
How to get started if the weight room feels intimidating
Why proper form, recovery, sleep, and protein matter more than ever
Kassandra also shares an incredible real-life transformation story of a 70-year-old client who reversed osteopenia, eliminated pain, and regained confidence—proof that it is never too late to start.
We wrap things up with a fun quick-fire round (favorite lifts, gym anthems, and fitness myths we wish would disappear forever).
If you’re in midlife and wondering:
“Is lifting safe for me?”
“Where do I even start?”
“Can I really get stronger at this age?”
This episode is your sign. 💪

Midlife isn’t a crisis — it’s a checkpoint.
In this episode of The No Expiration Date Podcast, we’re talking about that feeling so many women carry but don’t always name: when life looks fine on paper, but something feels off in your body. The friendships that drain you, the job that pays the bills but costs your peace, the routines you’ve outgrown… and the quiet signs you keep ignoring because “this is just how it is.”
This isn’t about burning it all down or starting over. It’s about redesigning your life on purpose — taking an honest look at what deserves to stay, what needs tweaking, and what might be quietly asking to be released.
In this episode, we cover:
✨ The Energy Audit: what gives you energy vs. what drains you
✨ How to spot one-sided relationships, “negative Nancy” energy, and obligation-based connections
✨ Family roles, guilt-based “yes” habits, and why boundaries don’t require explanations
✨ The work check: are you fulfilled… or fantasizing about escape (hello, Sunday scaries)?
✨ “These aren’t mood swings — they’re messages” (yep, we said it)
Your 5-Step Midlife Redesign Plan:
Notice the misalignment (exhaustion, dread, numbness, irritability)
Pick one area to redesign (work, friendships, health, boundaries, identity)
Release what no longer fits (make a “STOP doing” list)
Experiment with the new (midlife is a testing ground, not a final destination)
Build support for the woman you’re becoming (reinvention thrives in connection)
Listener Challenge:
✅ Write down one thing that feels heavy
✅ Write down one thing that brings you joy
✅ Take one small action toward the lighter life this week
If this episode stirred something in you, that’s not discomfort, that’s awareness. You don’t need permission, a five-year plan, or an explanation for your evolution. You deserve a life that fits the woman you are now.
Because remember: there is no expiration date on redesigning your life. 💙

Tonight’s self-care looks like: face mask on, candle lit, wine poured… and a soothing voice saying “she was last seen alive at 9:42 PM.” 😅
In this true crime episode of the No Expiration Date Podcast, we’re digging into the very real question: Why do women love true crime? (And why can we listen to murder podcasts while folding laundry… but still won’t answer the door for Amazon without checking the Ring camera first?)
We unpack the stats (yes, the numbers don’t lie), the psychology behind it, and the not-so-funny truth underneath: women aren’t tuning in because we “love murder”—we’re tuning in for patterns, prevention, red flags, gut instincts, and a sense of control in a world that often doesn’t feel safe. We talk binge-worthy favorites, “gateway” shows, and the way true crime changes our real-life habits—like how we walk to our cars, how we park, and why “trust your gut” is basically our theme song.
We also get real about crime against women, including the uncomfortable realities behind intimate partner violence, stalking, reporting barriers, and why the home is statistically one of the most dangerous places for women.
So grab your wine, lock your doors, keep your pepper spray close, and come laugh (nervously) with us while we talk about why “bold, beautiful, and slightly paranoid” might actually be the safest vibe.
Listener discretion advised.
Don’t forget to rate, review, and share with your favorite fellow true-crime bestie.
Trigger warning: This episode includes discussion of crime against women and domestic violence. If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse, help is available. Call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or text “START” to 88788. If you’re in immediate danger, call 911.
Welcome to our special New Year’s episode of The No Expiration Date Podcast, created especially for women in midlife who are ready to stop setting resolutions that fade by February and start creating meaningful, lasting change.
In this honest and relatable conversation, we dive into why so many New Year’s resolutions fail—and more importantly, how to make yours stick. We talk about shifting from vague, pressure-filled goals to personal, value-driven intentions that truly reflect what you want in this season of life.
From health, fitness, and nutrition to finances, confidence, and consistency, we explore what it really means to build habits that support long-term transformation. We also share real-life examples (yes, including DoorDash struggles, gym drop-offs, and impulse purchases 🙋♀️) and laugh through the very human side of goal-setting.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
Why resolutions need to be personal and value-based to work
How to turn big goals into realistic, measurable steps
Why consistency beats perfection every time
How self-compassion and flexibility keep you moving forward
The surprising statistics behind New Year’s resolutions—and what they teach us
How to shift from “resolution mode” to lifelong habit change
We also break down the Top 10 most common New Year’s resolutions, share eye-opening success rates, and talk about why focusing on habits—not outcomes—is the real secret to success.
Whether your word for the year is consistency, success, strength, joy, or something uniquely yours, this episode will leave you feeling empowered, encouraged, and reminded that it’s never too late to design a life that feels good in your bones.
✨ Change doesn’t happen overnight—but with patience, persistence, and the right support, incredible transformation is possible.
If this episode resonated with you, share it with a friend, leave a review, and join us as we continue supporting each other on this journey of purpose-driven living.
Here’s to a bold, beautiful, and intentional new year. 💙
In this episode of The No Expiration Date Podcast, we sit down with Erica Radis, founder of Working Moms of San Antonio, to talk about what real empowerment looks like when women stop doing life and business alone.
Erica shares the honest story behind building one of San Antonio’s most supportive communities for women business owners and working moms—from starting as a simple Facebook group to growing into a thriving space with thousands of women, in-person events, and a physical location designed for connection, collaboration, and growth.
We dive into:
Why traditional networking spaces don’t always work for moms
The power of showing up authentically (leggings, blazers, kids and all)
Breaking down gatekeeping and cattiness in women’s spaces
How community supports mental health, business growth, and confidence
The myth of “doing it all” and why asking for help is a strength
What empowerment really means as women evolve through different life stages
This is an honest, refreshing conversation about leadership, motherhood, vulnerability, and why community isn’t just a nice-to-have—it’s essential.
If you’ve ever felt out of place in networking rooms, overwhelmed by trying to juggle everything, or simply craving a space where you can be yourself and still grow—this episode is for you.
✨ Life after 50 (and motherhood, and reinvention) is just getting started.
🎧 Listen in and get inspired to find—or build—the community you deserve.
Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or one Target parking lot moment away from losing it? In this episode of The No Expiration Date Podcast, Cindy and Marie sit down with Dr. Bluhm to break down EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)—also known as tapping—a simple, evidence-based tool you can use anywhere to calm your nervous system and reset in minutes.
Dr. Bluhm explains what EFT is, how it’s rooted in Chinese medicine and meridians, and why it’s so different from practices like CBT or mindfulness (hint: you can learn it fast and use it on the spot—no special setting needed). We also talk about how EFT is being used to support stress, anxiety, depression, and even pain management, including its impact for veterans and those navigating PTSD.
And yes… Dr. Bluhm walks us through a full, beginner-friendly tapping sequence you can follow along with right now:
Rate your stress (0–10)
Start with the “karate chop” point while repeating a simple affirmation
Move through key tapping points (brow, temple, under eye, nose, chin, collarbone, under arm, top of head)
Reassess and repeat as needed
We also chat about building EFT into your daily routine, what to do if you feel self-conscious (spoiler: you can tap just on your hand), and why this tool is perfect for real life—like traffic, holiday chaos, and school pickup lines.
Try it with us and see how you feel. Because as Dr. Bluhm says: stress is personal, but so is your power to manage it.
10 Holiday Stressors & How to Actually Survive Them (With a Little Joy Left Over)
The holidays are supposed to be magical… but for most midlife women, they’re basically a full-contact sport. Between family drama, packed schedules, gift pressure, and kids losing their minds at 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, it's no wonder half of us are crying in the Target parking lot saying “I’m fine.” 👀
In this episode of the No Expiration Date Podcast, Ann-Marie and Cindy dive into the 10 most stressful things about the holidays — and offer simple, realistic solutions so you can enjoy the season instead of white-knuckling your way through it.
We talk about:
✨ Family expectations and drama (and why silence can be a Christmas miracle)
✨ Overloaded calendars
✨ Financial stress and gift-giving guilt
✨ Pinterest-level perfectionism
✨ Kids’ holiday chaos
✨ Travel nightmares
✨ Missing loved ones and emotional triggers
✨ Losing track of your health and sanity
✨ Burnout from being everything to everyone
From setting boundaries to ditching perfection, simplifying traditions, embracing “good enough,” and giving yourself permission to feel your feelings — this episode is your reminder that you deserve a joyful, peaceful, and imperfect holiday season too.
So grab your coffee, cocoa, or peppermint martini (or espresso martini if you're Cindy 😄) and join us for a heartwarming, hilarious, and honest conversation.
✨ Take a deep breath, take care of yourself, and remember…

Pelvic floor leaks, prolapse, “oops” moments when you sneeze, painful sex… we’re going there. In this episode, we sit down with pelvic floor physical therapist Amanda to break down what the pelvic floor actually is, why it matters at every age (not just postpartum), and why so many of the things we’ve been told are “just part of being a woman” are absolutely treatable—not something you have to live with forever.
Amanda explains how the pelvic floor works with your core, diaphragm, back, and hips as one “pressurized canister,” and why symptoms like urinary leakage, constipation, prolapse, and pain with intercourse are red flags that deserve real care—not jokes and eye-rolls. She walks us through what a pelvic floor PT exam is actually like (spoiler: no stirrups, no spotlight on your “hoo-ha”), and how most women start feeling better in as little as six weeks of targeted therapy.
We also dig into:
What the pelvic floor is and how it supports your bladder, bowels, organs, and sexual function
The difference between “common” and normal when it comes to leaking, prolapse, and pain
How menopause, perimenopause, breastfeeding, and dropping estrogen levels impact pelvic floor health
Early signs of pelvic floor dysfunction that women often ignore or laugh off
Why Kegels aren’t a one-size-fits-all answer (and when they can actually make things worse)
What really happens in a pelvic floor PT session—from internal work to functional strength training
Lifestyle changes that help (think fiber, water, walking, and moving your body)
The emotional side: intimacy, identity, embarrassment, and pulling back from the activities you love
If you’ve ever crossed your legs to sneeze, avoided jumping or running, worried about prolapse, or quietly changed your social life because of leakage or pain, this episode is for you. Pelvic floor problems are common, but not normal—and there are solutions.
Hit play to feel informed, seen, and empowered to ask for the help you deserve.

Gut Health 101 for Midlife (and the Famous “Fart Walk”)
Your gut is more than digestion, it’s a whole-body powerhouse. In this candid, funny, and science-informed convo, we break down what the gut microbiome is, why it matters in midlife and menopause, and how small daily habits (hello, 10-minute “fart walk” 🚶♀️) can calm bloat, boost mood, and support immunity.
What we cover
What the gut microbiome actually is (bacteria, viruses, fungi) and why it’s often called a “virtual organ”
How menopause shifts the microbiome (less diversity) and what that means for weight, bone health, and brain fog
The gut–immune connection (about 70% of immune cells live in/near the gut) and why that matters for inflammation and infections
The gut–brain axis: why anxiety, mood, and GI symptoms often travel together
Food fundamentals: fiber, fermented foods, and “colorful plates” vs. ultra-processed choices
Lifestyle levers that move the needle: sleep, stress, movement, and mindful medication use
Real-life symptoms to track (bloat, irregularity, reflux, brain fog) and when to loop in your provider
Probiotics & fermented foods, helpful, but not cure-alls (food first, supplements if needed)
Myths we bust: “All bacteria are bad,” and “A fancy poop test will tell me everything”
Quick stats we mention
~70% of the immune system is connected to the gut
~30–40% of adults experience functional bowel issues at some point
Up to 91% of women report gut changes during menopause
Improving microbiome diversity can lower inflammation markers
Simple habits to start today
Aim for 25–30g of fiber/day (fruits, veggies, beans, whole grains, nuts/seeds)
Add fermented foods (yogurt with live cultures, kefir, kimchi, sauerkraut)
Take an easy 10-minute post-meal walk (a.k.a. the “fart walk” 💨)
Prioritize sleep, manage stress, move your body regularly
Chat with your provider about medications that may impact gut balance

Why does it feel like your body changed overnight in your 40s and 50s?
In this episode of the No Expiration Date Podcast, we’re getting real (and a little spicy) about midlife weight gain, why it happens, why it’s not just “willpower,” and what you can actually do about it.
We talk through:
• Common misconceptions about weight gain in midlife and why “just eat less and move more” is not the full story.
• How perimenopause and menopause can completely flip your metabolism, hunger, sleep, energy, and even where your body stores fat.
• That moment you first realize, “Wait… this is different now,” and how emotional that feels.
• The very real mental spiral: frustration, shame, comparison to our 20-year-old selves — and why we cannot live there anymore.
We also get into the science (in plain English):
• By our 40s, women naturally burn about 200 fewer calories per day than we did in our 20s.
• During perimenopause and menopause, estrogen drops and fat literally moves from hips and thighs to the belly. That’s why you may see new back fat, midsection fluff, triceps jiggle, all of it.
• Women can gain 10–15 pounds in menopause even without changing how they eat or exercise.
• Metabolism slows about 5% per decade, and we lose 3–8% of our muscle every decade after 30. Less muscle = easier fat gain.
• Two-thirds of women ages 40–59 are now considered overweight or obese. You are not the only one going through this.
We cover the sneaky stuff too:
• Poor sleep, hot flashes, thyroid changes, stress, cortisol — and how all of that makes belly fat more stubborn.
• Why you can feel like you’re “doing everything right” and still not see changes.
• How visceral belly fat isn’t just about looks; it’s linked to heart disease, insulin resistance, and diabetes risk.
But this is not a panic episode. This is an empowerment episode.
We walk through what actually helps:
• Lifting weights (yes, even if you’re 50+ and new to it).
• Getting protein, fiber, hydration, and real sleep instead of living on caffeine and stress.
• Walking and moving your body daily — not as punishment, but as self-care and sanity.
• Not drinking your calories (we’re looking at you, sugary drinks and mystery energy drinks).
• Tracking progress by strength, mood, energy, and how your clothes fit — not just the number on the scale.
We also talk mindset:
• Giving yourself grace without giving up on yourself.
• Shifting from “I want to be thin” to “I want to be strong, mobile, and here for a long time.”
• Why comparison to your 25-year-old body is keeping you stuck.
This is for every woman who looked in the mirror and thought: “When did this happen?” It’s not just you. It’s biology, hormones, stress, sleep, muscle, and time. And you are absolutely allowed to care about your health without apologizing for it.
Midlife isn’t about losing who you were — it’s about learning who you are now. Your body is changing, but so is your power.
Listen in, laugh with us, and then go lift something heavier than your purse.
P.S. We reference previous episodes on sleep and perimenopause — make sure to check those out if you’re dealing with night sweats, hot flashes, or exhaustion that won’t quit.

She shares the latest research on aging, explains how language and media influence perceptions, and reminds us that aging is not a decline, it’s a powerful evolution.

No one told us this is what 50 would feel like. In this hilarious and surprisingly heartfelt episode, Ann-Marie and Cindy get real about all the things midlife threw at them without warning, from back fat and random aches to chin hairs, saggy skin, and memory lapses that send you to the laundry room instead of the fridge.
But it’s not all about the laughs. The ladies also open up about deeper surprises like watching loved ones pass, kids moving away, unexpected heartbreak, and the emotional rollercoaster of hormones and rediscovering yourself at this stage of life.
Of course, they balance it all with the lighter side of getting older: an obsession with skincare, the joy of buying storage bins, early bedtimes, bad knees, and the bliss of not caring what anyone thinks anymore.

Perimenopause: Breaking the Silence on the Transition No One Talks About
Perimenopause is a stage that impacts millions of women, yet it remains one of the least discussed and most misunderstood transitions in women’s health. In this episode of the No Expiration Date podcast, Ann-Marie and Cindy pull back the curtain on what really happens during the years leading up to menopause.
From hormone spikes and night sweats to brain fog, joint pain, and the emotional toll of shifting estrogen and progesterone levels, this conversation is both eye-opening and relatable. You’ll hear startling statistics—like how nearly 70% of women feel unprepared for perimenopause, while only 30% ever seek medical advice—and personal stories that shine a light on how these changes show up in daily life.
We’ll talk openly about:
The wide range of symptoms beyond hot flashes and mood swings.
The impact on mental health, sleep, and relationships.
Why perimenopause is often overlooked in healthcare and how misdiagnoses happen.
Practical ways to cope, from lifestyle changes to treatment options.
This isn’t just about surviving perimenopause, it’s about thriving through it. By sharing knowledge and experiences, we can break the stigma and remind women everywhere: you’re not alone.
👉 Tune in, share this episode with the women in your life, and let’s keep the conversation going. Because there truly is no expiration date on living boldly and beautifully.
Let’s talk about a topic we don’t hear nearly enough about—vaginal health in midlife. In this candid conversation, we sit down with Dr. Erica Hope, gynecologic oncologist, to break the silence on what really happens to our bodies during perimenopause and menopause.
From GSM (Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause) to pelvic floor issues, painful sex, urinary changes, low libido, and hormone therapy, Dr. Hope explains what’s normal, what’s not, and how to advocate for yourself at the doctor’s office. She also clears up myths around Pap smears, mammograms, colonoscopies, hormone replacement therapy, vaginal estrogen, and even the buzz around pellets.
This episode is part education, part empowerment, and a whole lot of “you’re not alone.” Whether you’re navigating brain fog, hot flashes, pelvic floor dysfunction, or just wondering what screenings you really need, this is a must-listen for every woman over 40.
💡 What you’ll learn in this episode:
The most common gynecologic symptoms and cancers women face in midlife
Why Pap smears and regular screenings are truly lifesaving
How estrogen impacts vaginal health (and why moisturizers, lubricants, or estrogen may be needed)
The role of hormone replacement therapy—and who it’s right for
Tips for maintaining vaginal health and advocating for yourself in the exam room
September is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month, making this conversation even more important. As Dr. Hope reminds us: Your body deserves to be listened to. Don’t dismiss your symptoms as “just getting older.”
🎧 Tune in and let’s normalize these conversations—because your health has no expiration date.
