In a world filled with competing voices and distorted truths, the gospel of Jesus Christ must be carefully guarded and boldly proclaimed. The Church is engaged in a real spiritual battle—one that calls us to stay alert and stand firm when the truth is threatened. Will we obediently cherish the gospel of grace and proclaim it without shame? Will we trust that faithfulness to God and His true gospel brings life, freedom, and hope?
The gospel of grace is God’s idea from start to finish, perfected and completed by Jesus Himself. We don't earn it or improve on it. Citing his own dramatic conversion as proof, Paul shows that salvation rests entirely on Christ, not religious performance or tradition. This is truly good news! God saves, God keeps, and God invites us into real fellowship and peace with Him through Christ's finished work alone.
In Paul's urgent letter to the Galatians, he defends the true gospel: saving grace comes directly from God through Jesus Christ alone. Confronting false teachings that place grace in churches, traditions, or rituals, Paul reminds believers that only God can save—and only God deserves the glory. This letter calls us back to the good news that brings real peace and freedom: salvation is God’s gift, not something earned or mediated by people. What a joy!
This Christmas sermon invites us to see Jesus not just as a source of light, but as the Light of the world. From Isaiah’s prophecy to Christ’s birth, we’ll see how Jesus brings truth, wisdom, peace, and salvation to those walking in darkness. Like light breaking into a dark room, He reveals what we cannot see on our own. And just as John the Baptist pointed others to the Light, we are called to bear witness, not to be the Light ourselves. This Christmas, reflect on Christ the Light—and how our lives can point others to believe in Him.
We finish the story of Ruth right at Christmas time. Her story points us straight to Jesus. It shows us that Jesus doesn’t just want to save us from sin, He also wants a close, loving relationship with us. Even when people feel broken or beyond hope, God can bring them close to Himself. Just as God redeemed Naomi through the birth of Ruth’s son, He brings us into a right relationship with Him through His only Son, Jesus. Immanuel. God with us. The question is: will we surrender our lives to Him?
Continuing in Ruth 4, Boaz shows us a Redeemer who holds nothing back—paying whatever it takes to make Ruth his own. Likewise, the Cross of Jesus shows that He not only forgives our sin, but has the power to take our brokenness, losses, and failures and transform them for His glory. Whatever we’ve done...whatever’s been done to us, redemption becomes real when we come to Jesus in surrender. Will we trust His grace?
No Price Too High

No Price Too High

2025-12-07--:--

In Ruth 4, we see a Redeemer for whom no price is too great. Boaz steps in where others refuse or are unable to pay it, willingly covering the full cost to bring Ruth into his family. This costly love points us to Christ, our own Redeemer, who held back nothing (not even His own life) to bring us into His family. Will we rest in the truth that our salvation is never too costly for Him?
As we enter Advent, this message invites us to prepare more than our homes for Christmas—it's a call to prepare our hearts. Through the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus in John 3, we discover the radical, world-embracing love of God and the true hope Christ brings into weary and waiting lives. Join us as we explore how the Father’s love and the Savior’s coming reshape our expectations, renew our hope, and empower us to share His love in this season and beyond.
Ruth’s quiet surrender at Boaz’s feet gives us a vivid picture of what genuine surrender to redemption truly looks like. As Boaz promises to overcome every obstacle to make Ruth his own, we’re reminded of Christ—our greater Redeemer—who invites us to entrust our whole selves, our fears, and our futures into His hands. This week, we explore how the story of Ruth reveals the heart posture of true salvation: offering ourselves fully to the Redeemer who handles what we never could.
Surrender: one of our deepest acts of faith. Laying down our own plans, comforts, and even good gifts to follow God wherever He leads. Just as Ruth left her home to care for Naomi, we’re reminded that true obedience is born not from duty, but from devotion. When we surrender fully, we find that what we gain is far greater than what we give up, because in yielding to God, we gain God Himself.
In this message from the book of Ruth, we see Ruth laying everything at the feet of Boaz—an act that points us to our own need to come humbly before Jesus, our true Redeemer. Like Ruth, we bring nothing to offer but ourselves, weary and in need of grace. It’s there, at His feet, that we find rest, redemption, and hope that will never disappoint.
When we walk closely with God, He levels the valleys and mountains before us—clearing the path toward His purposes and provision. Just as Boaz came alongside Ruth to lighten her work and bless her abundantly, Christ empowers and equips us as we labor in His fields. How will we handle our blessings?
In a world that often equates blessing with comfort and success, Ruth’s story reminds us that true blessing is found in walking closely with God. Ruth came to the field expecting only scraps, but instead she was invited to the table. In the same way, God invites us—undeserving and broken—to share in His grace. This week, we’ll see how His love moves us from the edges to a place of belonging and abundance at His table.
What if the very season of suffering you’re walking through is God’s setup for future blessing? This week we’ll look at how God saw Ruth’s faithfulness in a painful season and demonstrated how He often works through ordinary obedience to shape extraordinary outcomes. Will we trust God to turn trials into turning points when we trust His sovereign hand at work?
Life can feel hopeless, as it did for Naomi, when it seems like God is against us. But what if those very moments are when He is closest—building our faith and teaching us to love others even in our pain? Join us this Sunday as we walk through Ruth 1 and discover hope in the God who never leaves us.
Life’s storms can feel overwhelming, but God is always at work, even in our deepest struggles. In Ruth 1 we're introduced to a family facing famine, loss, and heartbreak—yet even in tragedy, God was at work. By His mighty power, we learn that God weaves both His grand story of redemption and the personal details of our lives together for good.
This Sunday, we launch into our new fall series in the incredible story of Ruth. Ruth personifies the Biblical overview of God’s redemptive story—moving from loss to life, showing His providence in ordinary faithfulness, extending His covenant love to outsiders, and foreshadowing the Redeemer who brings hope in a broken world. Have you endured suffering and loss? Let's see how we can look to God for restoration and joy.
At Wellspring, our mission is to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ. This Sunday, we’ll dig into two core values—Worshiping God Together and Doing Life Together. The Bible shows us that Christ’s presence is experienced most powerfully in His church, and that discipleship thrives in community, not isolation. Come discover why gathering matters and how God uses His people to bring hope, strength, and joy.

One of our four core values here at Wellspring Church is sharing Jesus together. But when we say "Sharing Jesus," what do we mean? Is it how we live or what we say? The answer is both! Each of us plays a vital role in sharing Jesus, and we will examine what the apostle Paul modeled for us, discovering several motivations to live our lives in a way that motivates us to be willing to be used by God to reach the lost among us.
