Description

Bravery isn’t always about facing your fears head-on or accomplishing the impossible. Sometimes, being brave means knowing when to quit, deciding you’re already whole and enough, or choosing not to do the so-called “brave thing” simply because it’s not what you want.

Brave Little Things is about redefining what it means to show up courageously in life and business, taking small, sustainable steps that help us feel more at home in ourselves. Through raw storytelling, diverse insights, practical tools, and real-life practices, we’ll explore all the ways bravery shows up in everyday moments. Most importantly, you’ll feel held as we navigate these conversations together. Because if there’s one thing I know about building a brave, full life, it’s that doing it together makes it so much easier.

What does it mean to choose a brave life—slowly, intentionally, and on your terms? Let’s go there.

In this episode, I’m diving into something that feels especially close to my heart — helping our kids feel their feelings. I share how our understanding of emotional health has evolved, why negative emotions aren’t something to fix or avoid, and how thoughts, feelings, and the body work together. You’ll hear real-life parenting stories, simple tools for younger kids and teens, and gentle guidance on how to support your children through fear, disappointment, and big emotions — while also learn...
What do you do when you’re really, really nervous? Not “a little uncomfortable.” Not “kind of unsure.” But heart-racing, mind-blank, sweaty-palms, what-am-I-doing nervous. In this episode, I’m talking honestly about what’s actually happening in your body when fear shows up — and why it doesn’t mean anything has gone wrong. I share what I’ve been learning from running my monthly group coaching calls (including a moment I thought I totally flopped), why our primitive brains freak out when we st...
We talk a lot about growth, goals, and “what’s next”… but rarely about something just as powerful: pride. In this episode, I share a moment from a live group coaching call that stopped me in my tracks—when a woman casually brushed past the fact that she had just stepped into the next level of her business. And it opened a much bigger conversation about how often we skip over our own courage, effort, and becoming. We’ll explore: Why pride isn’t arrogance—and what real confidence actually looks...
There’s a moment in business that almost all of us hit at some point. We’re showing up. We’re creating. We’re doing all the things. And still, clients and money aren’t really moving the way we hoped they would. In this episode, I slow that moment down and take a closer look at what’s actually happening. Most of the time, it’s not about effort. It’s about value, fit, and whether what we’re putting out into the world is really landing for the people we want to serve. I talk about why value isn’...
What if the reason you don’t follow through on your goals isn’t because you don’t want them badly enough… but because you’re making them too big of a deal? In this first episode of the year, I’m sharing something I’m actively working through myself — a quieter, lighter way of going after what we want without burning out or bailing when things get hard. We talk about why motivation and passion can actually work against us, how pressure creates the familiar “rollercoaster” with our goals, and w...
In this final episode of the year, we’re talking about something most of us live with without even realizing it: the quiet, constant soundtrack of not enough. Not enough time, not enough progress, not enough clarity, not enough energy… and the belief that somehow, we’re not enough either. Inspired by Lynne Twist’s book The Soul of Money, I share one of the most powerful stories I’ve ever read — a lesson from a village in Senegal that completely shifted how I understand sufficiency, possibilit...
How do you actually feel grateful when your brain is wired to look for everything that’s missing? In today’s episode, we’re breaking down the surprising truth about gratitude: it doesn’t come naturally. It’s a practice we have to create on purpose—and when we do, it can turn an ordinary life into something quietly extraordinary. I share the story of how recording a short video on gratitude sent me into my backyard, where the tiniest shift in attention cracked my world open. From my outdoor sh...
In today’s episode, I’m digging into one tiny word that seems innocent but sneaks its way into our goals, our relationships, our parenting, our businesses — and quietly holds us back: “trying.” I share a few stories (including the Central Park tennis-ball mama, a birth-pool moment where I finally snapped at my husband, and some honest coaching from a client in a relationship spiral) that show how “I’m trying” keeps us hovering in hesitation instead of stepping into real commitment. We talk ab...
In this episode, we’re diving into one of the most universal human struggles: caring what other people think. Not in the “just don’t care!” kind of way, because that’s not real, but in the honest, messy, human way that actually helps you shift it. I’m sharing stories from my own life, a powerful moment with a former coach, what came up on last night’s free group coaching call, and how this shows up in parenting, entrepreneurship, and identity. We’ll talk about why we’re wired to seek approval...
In this episode, we’re talking about what it really means to stand your ground—and why so many of us struggle to do it. I share a story from when I was 19 that unexpectedly taught me the power of quiet certainty (yes, it involves a chaotic NYC penthouse and a babysitting job gone awry). We explore how “good girl” conditioning manifests in adulthood in ways we barely even notice. If you’ve ever found yourself saying “it’s fine” when it’s not… shrinking your ideas before they even come out… pla...
In this episode, we explore the beauty of contrast — the strange, sacred way that joy lands deeper after we’ve tasted the hard. I share two stories from our family road trip out West, including one freezing night in a tent in Oregon that taught me more about gratitude than any self-help book ever could. We discuss emotional highs and lows, why humans aren’t meant to be happy all the time, and how allowing ourselves to experience the full spectrum of our emotions is what makes life meaningful....
Why We Give Up

Why We Give Up

2025-11-1834:14

Ever find yourself this close to giving up on something you actually really want? In this episode, I get real about those sneaky moments when we quit — not because it’s time to move on, but because our brains get scared, impatient, or tired of waiting for results. I share stories from my coaching work, what’s really going on in the brain when things take longer than we hoped, and a few surprisingly simple ways to stay in the game when you want to bail. This work is about learning how to stay ...
If I could sit my 20-year-old self down for a cup of tea, here’s what I’d tell her. In this episode, I share eight lessons I wish I’d learned sooner—about fear, self-trust, pain, rest, purpose, and what it really means to live as a human in this wild world. These are the truths I now pass on to my kids, my clients, and the next generation of brave little humans trying to figure it out. Whether you’re 20 or 60, these lessons are for the younger version of you still learning how to feel at home...
Ever wonder why it’s so easy to show up for everyone else...but not for yourself? In this episode, we’re getting honest about self-accountability: why your brain secretly resists it, how shame keeps you hiding, and what actually starts to shift when you slow down, get curious, and take one small follow-through. You’ll walk away with a simple, repeatable way to rebuild self-trust without guilt, hustle, or pep talks, and finally feel like if you tell yourself you are going to do something...
If you’ve ever been halfway up a goal and found yourself climbing back down to “pick a better trail,” this one’s for you. We’re revisiting the mountain story that so many of you loved in my Brave Little Things Newsletter- and adding the deeper layer I didn’t include the first time. In plain language, we’re talking about why we start/stop/start/stop…and how to actually stay. You’ll hear about: The stop–go loop: why second-guessing feels smart in the moment but quietly erodes self-trust...
Work-Life Balance

Work-Life Balance

2025-10-2129:35

We’ve all been sold the idea that “balance” is the secret to being a good parent, partner, and business owner. But what if chasing balance is actually what’s making you feel worse? In this episode, we flip the script on work-life balance and invite you to think differently about how you spend your time and energy. I share personal stories about overcorrecting after motherhood, learning to name my seasons, and discovering that true peace doesn’t come from perfect balance, it comes from presenc...
Identity Addictions

Identity Addictions

What if the stories you tell yourself about who you are: “I’m always late,” “I’m not a leader,” “I’m just a hot mess”, aren’t actually who you are at all? In episode 16, I dive into the idea of identity addictions -the old labels and patterns our brains keep pulling us back to, just like a craving for chips or another scroll through Instagram. These identities feel safe because they’re familiar, but they aren’t the truth of who you are. I’ll share how to recognize when you’re hooked on ...
In this episode, we’re talking about the one version of ourselves most of us try to ignore: Past You. If you’ve ever replayed mistakes in your head, judged yourself for choices you made, or felt like you’re constantly dragging around regret, this conversation is for you. I’ll share: Why separating past you, present you, and future you changes everythingA personal story about how I went from loathing past me to loving her (and crying through a coaching session along the way)The surprising Face...
What if your future self already knows the way, and all you have to do is cultivate a relationship with her so she can guide the way? In this episode, I’m sharing both soulful stories and practical tools to help you connect with future you—the woman you’re becoming on purpose. You’ll learn simple exercises (like “start, stop, continue” and end-of-day reflections) that can change how you show up today, plus hear how my own 70-year-old beach-granny self is guiding me right now. Because here’s t...
What if freedom isn’t out there in some faraway future, but waiting in the life you already have? In this episode, I share one of the most powerful stories I’ve ever heard, about a woman who turned a coffee can and a dollar bill into proof that she could create something bigger for herself. You’ll walk away with inspiration and practical ways to start your own “coffee can” practice — the small, doable things that can change everything over time. Inside this episode: The trap of the “I c...
