A packed week with my second ever trip to Warnham Nature Reserve, filming the walking route to Gatwick from the local housing area, and documenting some local birds. As always, head over to my Youtube for all the corresponding vlogs and other great videos - https://www.youtube.com/@stormcabbirds
In today's podcast, I go over my little challenge of flying to Faro in Portugal from the UK, doing some birdwatching, then flying home - in the same day. MADNESS. The full vlog with all the visuals is here - https://youtu.be/MZDo7OEcwXg?si=8T2NEdfUtSW8qwWY
I couple of hours spent in a little birding oasis - Southampton old cemetery, while down seeing family. Then I have a good afternoon out observing the local peregrine falcons. Pop over to my Youtube for the vlogs with all the footage & photos - https://www.youtube.com/@stormcabbirds
A couple of new vlogs are up. A rechargeable trail cam, and the latest chest harness video. Even though I've done 2 before, people keep asking about it.
Update on all new vlogs (available over on my Youtube channel as usual). I'm really stepping up a gear. More uploads, moving to film in 60fps.
A ;ate catch up on my trip to Dungeness where I finally got my first Tundra Bean Geese. At least 7 in the same shot. Stumbling on a big flock of tree sparrows & yellowhammer.
I open with a complaint against my increased content. Is it justified. I think so. Product reviews upcoming, and generally putting the world to rights.
Last night, the 5th of February 2026, I passed the million mark milestone.  For anyone interested, I give a long form explanation of where it started, what I learned along the way, and pass on anything that will help anyone struggling, or thinking of starting a channel.
I go for a walk to Crossness to film a vlog idea, practise my settings muscle memory, listen to a Robin sing, and all the news on products I am reviewing & my new Amazon storefront.
I’m going to start doing these catch up/overviews of everything that’s going on. Travels, products, any advice to pass on, new bird stuff to look out for etc.
A boat ride with dolphins, Arctic Skua, & Leach's Storm Petrel. Up to the Oufella fort again, and back to see the huge flock of Stone Curlew. Corresponding vlog with all the great footage here - https://youtu.be/yxZ5doA3Td8
Corresponding vlog with some video & photos for reference - https://youtu.be/gAa1fG1TvBs
While back at a spot I found a Moussier's Redstart in 2023, I find what could possibly be 100-150 stone curlew resting in a bit of derelict land. Corresponding vlog with all the footage here - https://youtu.be/-u3Irger8Yc?si=9Y82cpQLmmT4vbiq
I go up to the Oufella fort for some of the best birding in central Agadir. I also cover the crocoparc visit, and some great travel hacks & tips. The corresponding vlog with all the visuals is here - https://youtu.be/A0q8vzQfLfo
