It's Button Boy time, gather round. This week the Boys are returning to their favourite topic, not poo, but "yes please" moments: satisfying game design, thoughtful additions and quirky bonuses that just do it for you. From ladders to levelling up, the Boys, with the help of your contributions, shine a light on gaming moments that rarely get the praise they deserve. Pierre's been all alone with his thoughts this week as he struggles to find time to game on the road, Sarah's been tricked again in the bargain basement and Glenn's left entertained but unspooked by his latest horror foray. It's canapé and sparkling wine time here at La Gallerie Bouton, as we unveil our latest episode to audible gasps. This week's theme is visual design, from standout box art to beautiful backgrounds: the Boys don their berets, stroke their chins and pick apart what wows them and what leaves them cold. Elsewhere, Pierre's finally cleaned up his neighbourhood, Sarah's set off on an avian stroll and Glenn's getting to grips with his strengths and weaknesses in what may be his favourite game of the year so far. From house parties to hen dos, weddings to wakes, there's never an inappropriate time for gaming, but good lord how the experience differs. This week the Boys are coiffing their hair and drenching themselves in perfume because... it's party time. If you've embarrassed yourself in front of your friends, shouted at your grandma for being a complete noob or felt like a god clacking away at a plastic peripheral to the mellifluous tones of AC/DC, then you'll feel right at home. Glenn relays a traumatic experience, Sarah stretches their vocal cords and Pierre shares a potential sleeper hit from back in 2009. But before that, we catch up on the week's gaming. Sarah's started an absolute classic, Pierre's frustrated with some mech-anics and Glenn's creeping everyone out with his freakish little obsession. We should also say a big thank you to Oscar this week for our absolutely banging theme tune. It's already spreading through the seediest clubs of London town. If my eyes don't deceive me, I do declare it's another episode of the slowest-starting true crime podcast ever released. What's the crime? Keep listening for the reveal. In the meantime though, the Boys have been playing with themselves. Pierre's finally made a galactic breakthrough, Glenn's got hold of a very recent release and is discovering his undying love for it and Sarah's overcome the gloom in the most rad way possible (gnarly). Do you find sometimes it all gets a bit much? Life coming at you fast, nowhere to turn, nowhere to hide? You find yourself putting down the controller, stepping back from the keyboard and mouse and just... stopping. Well, this episode is about those gaming breaks and how you find your way back in. From new formats to friends and family, there's always a way to get hooked back on the good stuff. Stop what you're doing and pay attention, because it's Button Boys time, capeesh? This week's episode is all about the games we're inexplicably terrible at. Crap at CoD? Feeble at FIFA? Deplorable at Dark Souls? The Boys take a long hard look in the mirror as they confront their, and the audience's, gaming flaws. But what have the Boys been up to? Pierre's providing the last line of defence for a planet via touch controls, Glenn's been let down by a flat attempt at a series spin-off, and Sarah's found a holiday game that they simply cannot win. All in all a busy week. Banging on your eardrums and vibrating your vestibular nerves, it's this week's episode of Button Boys so listen closely, as the topic is sounds. Sounds good, sounds bad, sounds you'll never forget. There are squelches, pings and rattles aplenty, and for the detectives amongst you, a little quiz at the end. But first, we catch up on what the gang are up to: Sarah's a little lost in the weeds with Expedition 33, Pierre's experiencing life as a mum through the medium of sci-fi grand strategy and Glenn has never watched Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Take your phone off silent and pump up the volume on those tinny speakers, it's another episode of Button Boys, the only podcast that guarantees you 10,000 crystals within the next three years. This week the Boys are putting down their controllers and picking up their phones as they discuss the world of mobile gaming, from fat-fingered frustration to seamless, singular experiences. Pierre freshens up but finds himself unwanted, Sarah gets into ritual sacrifice and Glenn plays a game where you can literally blink and you'll miss it. Elsewhere, Sarah's finally completed the final instalment of the Uncharted series and has some thoughts and Glenn's been clinging on to his pick of the week for dear life. Shame that can't be said about his bannister. Slipped into your podcast inbox like a letter from a secret lover, it's Button Boys Valentine's Special. This one's for the lovers, not the fighters, as the Boys tackle the topic of romance in video games. From wet kiss noises and star-jump yippees, to deeply complex paramours, they work out which options melt their hearts and which give them a serious ick. Elsewhere, Sarah's fallen off the quaint, provincial wagon, Pierre's melted his mind with intergalactic meddling, and Glenn's been playing a game so disgusting it's been banned from multiple platforms. Dumped surreptitiously into your podcast app, it's another episode of Button Boys, the world's only gaming podcast hosted by Glenn Moore, Sarah Keyworth and Pierre Novellie. This week the Boys are on the hunt for game mechanics and tropes that feel completely normal in games, but they've never actually done themselves, questioning the very fabric of the digital worlds we all inhabit. In slightly less of an existential manner, Glenn's been dwelling in a dank cathedral basement this week, frantically inputting numbers; Sarah's tried out a game they so nearly picked as a ‘one to watch’; and Pierre's signed up for planetary defence, perhaps at the cost of his own sanity. Any game developers out there should listen closely, too, as Pierre pitches what may be the first $10m-grossing Button Boys game. We're open for business... It's Button Boys time again and this week the topic is demos. The evocative sounds of CDs being peeled off magazine covers, the joy of exploiting every last bit of the free level included and the overall disappointment when the full game doesn't live up to the promise of its teaser. Back once again by semi-popular demand, it's Button Boys, one of the top alliterative gaming shows of 2026. This week it's all about cheats and cheeses. Ever been stuck on a level and typed in a quick console command? Taken advantage of a game glitch to take out a hard boss? Ever felt bad, even once? In this episode, the Boys discuss the ins and outs of cheating and cheesing their way through games, work out whether it can ever be justified and hark back to the good old days of cheat codes. We also catch up with the gang's latest gaming fancies, with Glenn stuck in culinary purgatory, Pierre turning his troops into popsicles and Sarah getting physical this week as they step away from the screen. Welcome back and Happy New Year to all the Buttons out there. The Boys are back with a vengeance after their Christmas break. And what better way to kick things off than by looking back at how their Metacritic predictions went last year and looking ahead to pick their three most anticipated games (and backup) of 2026. From massive movie franchise tie-ins to indie arm-based adventures, we've got you covered. But before that, of course, we start with what the Boys have been playing over the festive season. As we're away this week we'd thought we'd put out a normally Patreon-exclusive episode of Hidden Cache. We'll be back next week with brand-new, box-fresh content. After the excessive blowout of the main awards show, it’s time for the Boys to kick back and relax in a Patreon-exclusive VIP area of the Hidden Cache nightclub. If you thought the awards were done, think again, as Pierre, Sarah and Glenn keep dishing them out left, right and centre. Sarah reveals their true feelings about Split Fiction, Glenn fesses up to his addiction and Pierre tries to get to the bottom of Glenn’s RNG aflussy. And that’s not it: the results are in from our Stud Farm substitute playthrough poll, so make sure to tune in to find out which game the Boys will be taking on next!y Remember, the conversation continues over on our Discord! We gather here today to pay respect to the game series of yore, that thrilled, entertained and moved us, and to shout at the top of our lungs, "I WANT MORE." That's right, Button Boys is back, and this week it's all about the series we want to see return, from cult-classic cartoons to mega movie tie-ins, the Boys lament the games that never were. And that's unsurprisingly not all! It's time to get all hot under the collar, red in the face, heart a-fluttering and delve into the sauciest episode of Button Boys to date. This week it's all about the video game characters the Boys crush hardest for. From Pokémon to The Sims to a giant alien turtle, the content of this episode would leave Freud foaming at the mouth like a rabid dog. Speaking of the psychology, Pierre's been locked into the heads of battle-hardened veterans this week as he's struggled his way through the latest Call of Duty offering; Glenn's been doing his best for the Japanese mascot industry; and Sarah's stumbled across a game that couldn't be more out of their comfort zone. And we get our first letter to the show from none other than Simon Podcast with a genuinely fascinating fact from way back in 2011. Apologies this week to our video audience, as we're having quite major technical difficulties with Pierre's camera. We hope the fix is not too distracting... After revealing their deepest gaming insecurities last week, the Boys are back and they're here to convert. This week they'll be discussing the games they use to get the uninitiated through the door, and what not to do when it comes to recruiting non-gamers. But before they get into it, the Boys have been busy playing new games this week with Sarah stuck in the brain of a teenager, Glenn caught in a loop and Pierre lost in a Lovecraftian world, there's a lot to dissect. Download, press play and leave any cousin energy at the door. Come one, come all to the latest Button Boy offering. This week the Boys are opening up about a deeply personal feeling: game shame. Ever had your flatmate, partner or work colleague stumble in on you in the throes of defeating a boss and just felt plain silly? Well, don't worry, you're amongst friends here. They discuss how it hits and what to do about it. Elsewhere, Pierre's gone back to emulate his childhood, romping around Macro World, Glenn's playing a literal smash hit and Sarah's up to no good in a wholly grocery-based environment. And just when you thought you were done, Glenn has a real déjà-vu gripe to hit you with. If you liked the sound of The Audience Versus mentioned by Glenn in the episode, please go to The Pleasance Theatre website and book your tickets!
