Hello from the valley,This evening, as the sun dipped behind the Kozara hills and the sky turned that soft, hazy pink, I sat outside with a mug of tea and just… listened.Not to the birds or distant tractors — but to something far more subtle.From deep beneath the soil, a sound rose up. Soft. Hypnotic. Almost electronic. It’s the dusk chorus of the mole crickets — strange little creatures that live underground here by the Vrbas, who only make themselves known in late July.I’ve recorded a short episode of Postcards from Bosnia to share this moment with you — a gentle reminder that sometimes the most beautiful parts of summer are the ones we don’t see, but feel and hear if we slow down long enough.And if the dusk sounds different where you are, I’d love to know.
