Defender Sam Forrest paces the Carolina defense while Levy's team will look to continue the nation's dominance on both ends of the field. Barnes and Ashley highlight the process and the inclusion in that process that everyone from Roy Williams to invested donors believe they should be afforded. Inside Carolina's senior reporter Greg Barnes joins Tommy Ashley to discuss the aftermath of North Carolina's near collapse against Syracuse and how the Tar Heels face a 'metrics problem' heading into the first Duke game of the season. As Barnes discusses, Carolina's ultimate ranking for seeding purposes in the NCAA Tournament will come from the metrics, not the AP poll, and in losing a 32 point lead in the last ten minutes on Monday, Hubert Davis's team missed a chance to 'out-perform' the numbers. With Duke coming to two on Saturday night, a win becomes all the more important, not for just the fanbase, but for postseason positioning.   This show is brought to you by Inside Carolina, the No. 1 site for UNC sports coverage and community. North Carolina's 32 point lead turned into a near nail biting finish as the Heels allowed Syracuse to battle back and cut the margin to just six points with 42 seconds remaining. For a team needing all of the positive vibes and, more importantly, positive metrics, the final 87-77 win left a lot questions resonating around the Smith Center on Monday night. Inside Carolina's Rob Harrington and Tommy Ashley break down the win, the performance and what the last ten minutes of action mean for Hubert Davis's team as they head into the first Duke matchup of the season on Saturday.   This show is brought to you by Inside Carolina, the No. 1 site for UNC sports coverage and community. Syracuse looks to play the role of spoiler this year as the Orange visit the Smith Center on Monday night. Inside Carolina senior reporter Greg Barnes and Tommy Ashley preview the ACC matchup with an eye toward the struggles of 'Cuse and the task UNC faces in playing well and winning big against a team that the Heels should handle. Barnes and Ashley also discuss the metrics and how the NCAA Tournament committee responsible for post-season seeding views late season performances now as opposed to how followers and fans of the teams do.   This show is brought to you by Inside Carolina, the No. 1 site for UNC sports coverage and community.
