On this episode of The Jeremiah Show, Jeremiah sits down with internationally celebrated composer and songwriter Randy Edelman.   Known for creating some of the most recognizable themes in film—including Gettysburg, The Last of the Mohicans, My Cousin Vinny, and The Mask—Edelman reflects on the remarkable journey behind his music and the stories that shaped his career. The conversation begins with his latest creative chapter, including his new album Waltzing On A High Wire and the single “21 Again,” which reveals a more personal side of his songwriting.   From performing with major rock acts early in his career to composing music for the Olympics and Hollywood’s biggest films, Edelman shares the experiences, influences, and philosophy that continue to drive his work today.   Waltzing on a High Wire Album “Waltzing On A High Wire” is now available on all streaming platforms as well as in a vinyl CD format and a limited edition double vinyl album. The album includes both a royal blue and a cherry red disc, with an insert containing all the lyrics.   “Waltzing on A High Wire” is everything that captures exactly what a solo album is supposed to be: personal, empathetic, and deeply earnest…- - -Splash “A Deeply Felt Experience “ - Broadway World  "Waltzing On A High Wire" by Randy Edelman is available for digital download and on CD and vinyl through platforms like Amazon, Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, and Deezer. On this episode of The Jeremiah Show, Jeremiah welcomes Sean Mendelson and Jason Mendelson to explore the legacy and ongoing story of one of television’s most beloved cultural treasures: Peanuts. As the sons of legendary producer Lee Mendelson, Sean and Jason grew up around the creative partnership that brought Charles M. Schulz’s characters to life on screen, together they continue the family’s role in preserving and expanding that legacy. In this conversation, they share personal memories of the early days of the Peanuts specials, the creative collaboration with Charles Schulz and composer Vince Guaraldi, and the enduring impact of these timeless stories. It’s a warm and thoughtful look at the people behind the animation, the music, and the spirit that has connected generations of audiences to Charlie Brown and his friends.   New Vince Guaraldi New Music Release The Peanuts music legacy is expanding! Larry Vigon built his name at the center of rock history, designing more than 200 iconic album covers for artists including Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Counting Crows, Bonnie Raitt, and Eric Clapton, earning induction into the Album Cover Hall of Fame in 2020. Today, the Santa Barbara-based designer and fine artist channels that same visual instinct into books, posters, and gallery work, all of which are shaped by decades of curiosity, music, and image-making.   David Ellis began as a studio session musician, playing drums for Eric Carmen, Tom Snow, and B.B. King and Charles Brown.  He moved towards a career in photojournalism before moving into environmental and fine art photography. His award-winning series Lobospheres earned international recognition, including a 2025 Gold Award at the Japan International Art Exchange in Tokyo, and reflects his evolution into photographic expressionism—reshaping coastal landscapes into emotional terrain that complements Vigon’s design-driven sensibility and underscores a long friendship rooted in shared creative curiosity.   Their new Santa Barbara exhibition weaves together Aquean, Flotsam & Jetsam, and Ellis’ Lobospheres into a meditation on California’s coastline as both subject and metaphor. Through large-scale prints, dimensional collage, found objects, and expressionist photography, the ocean becomes archive and eraser—holding memory even as it signals impermanence. At the center is Point Lobos, where Ellis’ mythic forms emerge from tar-streaked stone against the stark reality of rising sea levels, while the broader collection drifts between permanence and loss, beauty and erosion. The result is a show that feels both reverent and urgent, asking viewers to reconsider what endures—and what may soon vanish—along the Pacific edge.   OPENING: THURSDAY, APRIL 9, 4:30-6:30 pm ARTIST’S TALK: THURSDAY, APRIL 16, Reception 6:15 pm, Talk begins at 7:00 pm. Los Angeles’ own Golda Zahra steps into 2026 with momentum and purpose.    After four sold-out concerts in 2025, the soprano — praised by the Los Angeles Times as “the rising star of the opera world” — takes the stage March 8 at Royce Hall for NOWRUZ: LIGHT ALWAYS PREVAILS, presented by Farhang Foundation. She joins the legendary Parissawith the Iranshahr Orchestra in a 40-piece performance honoring the Persian New Year and International Women’s Day — a night centered on renewal, cultural pride, and the belief that light endures.   This milestone performance arrives as Golda prepares to release her debut album, GOLDA ZAHRA FREE, produced by Steven Mercurio and recorded with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. Beginning March 1, singles and cinematic videos will roll out ahead of the full album release in October 2026. The title reflects artistic independence and emotional clarity — a young soprano defining what her voice represents on a global stage.   Her first single, Puccini’s “O mio babbino caro” from Gianni Schicchi, arrives March 13 — her birthday — marking both a personal and artistic rebirth. With disciplined training and a deep connection to her multicultural heritage, Golda Zahra is not simply emerging; she is declaring who she is and where she is headed next.   Here’s a YouTube sneak peek at Golda Zahra’s - Puccini: O Mio Babbino Caro   NOWRUZ: LIGHT ALWAYS PREVAILS SUNDAY, MARCH 8TH @ 6 PM   GET TICKETS HERE   Connect with Golda Zahra   Golda’s Website   Chapters 00:00 Introduction and Golda Zahra's Upcoming Performance 01:13 The Legend of Jamshid and the Symbolism of Nowruz 05:37 Golda Zahra's Collaboration with Maestro Parisa and the Orchestra 09:18 The Significance of Nowruz and Iranian Culture in LA 13:04 Music as a Bridge for Unity and Hope 15:15 International Women's Day and Golda Zahra's Role as a Woman in Music 17:08 Her Artistic Journey and the Meaning of Her Debut Album 22:10 The Inspiration Behind 'Golda Zahra Free' and Future Dreams 27:00 Reflections on Her Career and the Power of Music 29:55 The Launch of Her First Single 'O mio babbino caro' Listen More. On California’s Central Coast, composer, producer, designer, and engineer Graham Palmer has built his career around one core idea: sound should serve the story.    A graduate of UC Santa Barbara (B.A. in Film and Media Studies, minor in music) and Berklee College of Music (M.A. in Music Production), Palmer moves fluidly between records, radio, film, theater, and live performance, shaping projects from the inside out with a storyteller’s instinct and a musician’s ear.   Before stepping behind the console as a producer, Palmer spent much of his early adult life on the road as a touring musician with the Mad Caddies, performing in more than 30 countries and contributing to a catalog that has sold over 500,000 albums worldwide. The experience sharpened his sense of collaboration and improvisation—skills that now inform his production work at Surprise Studio, the creative space he built in 2021. There, he composes original music, produces artists, and designs immersive sound for screen and stage, including his recent score and sound design for UC Santa Barbara Theatre Department’s production of Animal Farm, directed by Sara Rademacher.   Palmer is also celebrating the release of Blood Waves EP, a new project created with bandmate Jordan Dalrymple under the name Redacted Choir.    LISTEN - Redacted Choir Blood Waves EP   Whether he’s engineering a podcast, scoring a short film, or producing a full-length album, Palmer keeps the process focused and collaborative. “Whether it’s a podcast, a short film, a live show, or a full album,” he says, “I try to keep the process fun, and rooted in good storytelling.”   Connect with Graham Palmer at graham@surpriseenterprises.com   SURPRISE STUDIO WEBSITE: https://www.surpriseenterprises.com/   Any and all proceeds from the Blood Waves EP will be donated to @immdefense to help protect our communities   Chapters 00:00 Introduction and Graham Palmer's background 01:17 The inspiration behind Animal Farm score 04:11 Creating primal rhythms and farm sounds 06:50 The role of sound in storytelling 08:41 Studio environment and design principles 11:27 Graham Palmer's musical influences and career 16:18 The collaborative process in theater production 21:20 Future projects and scoring ambitions 26:10 Advice for aspiring sound designers 31:23 Closing thoughts and where to find Graham Palmer   Listen More. “Things as they are, are changed on the blue guitar.”   The Hollywood Film Composers Series  Presented by The Jeremiah Show and Executive Producer Carol Connors   Hall of Fame songwriter and Six-time GRAMMY® winner, Hall of Fame songwriter, and producer Glen Ballard shares insights into his illustrious career, discussing his roots in Natchez, Mississippi, the art of songwriting, and his collaborations with iconic artists like Alanis Morissette and the Dave Matthews Band. He reflects on the creative process, the importance of daily discipline in writing, and the challenges of navigating the music industry. Ballard also touches on his current projects, including Broadway adaptations and new music, emphasizing the significance of live performance in today's music landscape.   Now, Ballard’s attention keeps tilting toward the stage. Live presentation, he believes, is where music is headed—real voices, real risk, no digital buffer. It’s the same idea he’s carried from Natchez to Hollywood to Broadway: show up, protect the spark, and let the song tell the truth.   GLEN BALLARD’S WEBSITE - https://www.glenballard.com/ PHOTO CREDIT: Erik-Melvin   Chapters 00:00 Introduction to The Jeremiah Show 02:00 Nostalgia and Musical Influences 18:14 Introducing Glenn Ballard 22:04 Glenn Ballard's Musical Journey 29:59 The Creative Process and Overcoming Fear 39:59 The Role of Publishers in Songwriting 44:00 Finding Inspiration in Everyday Life 45:37 Exploring the Creative Process Behind Iconic Albums 01:01:07 The Impact of Collaboration with Alanis Morissette 01:12:06 The Future of Live Music and Production   Listen More. “I realized I was working with many, many different cultures… all this culture was coming into my studio.”   The Hollywood Film Composers Series  Presented by The Jeremiah Show and Executive Producer Carol Connors  ~ Cyril Morin has built a career on a rare skill: finding humanity’s musical score in the distance in between.   The Paris-born, Conservatoire-trained composer—featured on The Jeremiah Show as part of the Hollywood Film Composer Series with executive producer Carol Connors—has scored films that move across borders, languages, and belief systems without losing emotional clarity. His music doesn’t “tour” cultures. It listens and then finds the bridge.   Morin’s credits include The Syrian Bride and Zaytoun, as well as his immersive work on Samsara—projects that ask the same question in different settings: how do people stay connected when the world pulls them apart? Morin’s answer starts with the theme.    That ethic extends beyond the studio. Morin spoke candidly about choosing projects with intention—turning down films that feel violent “for no reason,” or stories that don’t align with his vision of the world. His guiding value, he said, is freedom: the inner kind that lets an artist say yes, say no, and change course without fear of the latter.   Now, his output keeps expanding. He’s scoring a documentary about the sport of cricket, writing a new book, and continuing to explore music outside film—including his latest release with his band SUPERCREATIVE by CYMO (a Crew of Pals & Jammers) and the career-spanning collection 25 Years Soundtracks.    Through it all, Morin returns to a simple identity: storyteller first, and the composer as the language he uses to tell it.   Cyril Morin’s Website: https://www.cyrilmorin.net/   Chapters 00:00 The Journey of Cyreal Moran: A Musical Odyssey 10:25 Bridging Cultures Through Music 16:51 The Importance of Empathy in Art 21:22 The Role of Freedom in Creativity 27:23 Listening and Learning from Humanity 30:25 The Storytelling Power of Music 41:01 Exploring Sonic Signatures and Artistic Evolution 46:30 The Creative Process: Balancing Music and Film 51:17 Future Projects and Artistic Aspirations 01:00:36 Finding Inspiration in a Complex World Listen More. The Hollywood Film Composers Series  Presented by The Jeremiah Show and Executive Producer Carol Connors    Composer Zain Effendi’s résumé sounds unreal when read aloud—GRAMMY®-nominated for Best Instrumental Composition for his piece “Opening,” a Hollywood Music in Media Awards standout, and the composer behind music now playing perpetually inside Walt Disney theme parks worldwide.   What stands out most, however, is how grounded Zain is in his work.  His musical path traces back to childhood, when he became obsessed with the film scores of Hans Zimmer. He recounts a true “drop everything” moment: a sudden job opportunity with Hans Zimmer that led him to leave college, board a red-eye to Los Angeles the same day, and begin working at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions. The years that followed were defined by intense pressure and exacting standards—where perfection wasn’t optional, but formative.   From there, Zain describes the leap from studio life to conquering the fear of going solo. He reflects on the sacrifices required to accept large-scale theme park commissions and the obsessive creative process that shaped his Epcot Test Track symphonic suite—music he approached as a ’90s blockbuster, not “theme park music.”   The interview also reveals the human side of Zain: the family voices that pull him back from perfectionism when he needs it, his lifelong love of Disney, and his growing commitment to animal rescue and welfare. The episode closes with the full performance of “Opening,” a sweeping orchestral work infused with modern energy.   It’s easy to understand why Zain Effendi’s music has found its way so deeply into people’s lives.   Zain Effendi’s Website: https://www.zaineffendi.com/about/   Zain on Instagram   Le Cirque de la Nuit Presents: The Village Stage Opening Ceremony at Shambhala 2022  featuring Zain https://youtu.be/n8XmAcz89Hk?si=rTPI369UfdUsYbNJ     00:00 - Introduction and episode overview 05:14 - Disney's narrative-driven sound design and its impact 07:27 - The story of Zayn’s journey from college to working with Hans Zimmer 11:08 - Collaborating with Disney on Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge music 14:22 - Awards and accolades: Effendi’s recognition in the industry 18:32 - How childhood dreams led to composing for Disney and Hollywood 22:58 - The discipline and perfectionism of top film composers 26:13 - Secrets to Hans Zimmer’s success — discipline, themes, and business savvy 32:59 - Leaving Hans Zimmer and forging his own path 44:44 - The creative process behind the Test Track symphonic suite 49:38 - How to get a job scoring Disney theme parks: industry secrets 52:16 - Unique projects: Star Wars-themed music and collaborations with DJs 58:20 - Upcoming album and new musical directions 60:58 - Zayn’s charity work and passion for animal welfare   Listen More. Brian Tyler’s Nuremberg

Brian Tyler’s Nuremberg

2026-01-1201:15:46

Joining me is composer Brian Tyler, whose original score for Nuremberg has earned Oscar shortlist recognition and a place on the BAFTA longlist. He joins us as part of our Hollywood Film Composers Series, presented by The Jeremiah Show with Executive Producer Carol Connors.   Brian is an award-winning composer, multi-instrumentalist, and conductor with a career spanning more than 100 films and music that has grossed over $17 billion worldwide. In this conversation, we focus on Nuremberg—directed by James Vanderbilt—and the weight of scoring a film that confronts the Holocaust and the trials that followed.   Brian explains why he had to start decades earlier, musically tracing the film's history back to the 1930s before writing a single frame. That process became a six-hour symphonic backstory, shaping themes of memory, justice, and empathy, including difficult choices like incorporating bell tones associated with the camps.   The discussion then turns deeply personal, as Brian shares how completing Nuremberg coincided with surviving a life-threatening double brain hemorrhage—an experience that reshaped how he thinks about time, purpose, and responsibility. In this episode of The Jeremiah Show, Grammy-winning guitarist and composer Janet Robin sits down with Jeremiah for a wide-ranging conversation about the moments—and mentors—that shaped her life in music.   Janet shares how guitar became her “security blanket” as a kid, and how studying one-on-one with Randy Rhoades (as his youngest student and the only girl in his class) gave her both technique and confidence—especially his insistence that students develop their own sound.   From her early years playing clubs in L.A. with the all-female band Precious Metal (and the whirlwind of being discovered and signed young), to being handpicked by Lindsey Buckingham for a demanding “guitar army” tour that sharpened her discipline and pushed her toward solo work, Janet traces a career built on hustle, professionalism, and creativity.   She also discusses coaching Jennifer Jason Leigh for The Hateful Eight, the unforgettable story behind the film’s famously smashed vintage Martin, and the full-circle Grammy win with The String Revolution for their instrumental “Folsom Prison Blues” recorded at Cash Cabin with John Carter Cash and guest guitarist Tommy Emmanuel—plus what’s next, including new releases, touring, and a blues project drawing from Library of Congress recordings.   Chapters 00:00 Introduction to Janet Robyn's Journey 03:03 Influence of Randy Rhoads and Early Experiences 15:07 Navigating the Music Industry as a Female Guitarist 18:05 Randy Rhoads' Legacy and Personal Reflections 23:56 The Formation of Precious Metal and Teenage Experiences 35:19 Breaking Barriers: The All-Girl Band Experience 44:28 Lindsay Buckingham: A Turning Point in My Career 48:54 Finding My Voice: The Transition to Solo Work 52:45 The String Revolution: A New Chapter in Music 56:52 Recording with Legends: The Grammy-Winning Experience 01:01:24 Teaching and Mentoring: A Full Circle Moment 01:03:26 Looking Ahead: Future Projects and Aspirations   Join Grammy®-Winning Guitar Trio, The String Revolution, for a night of unmatched guitar magic at Boulevard Music on January 17, 2026, at 8:00 PM.    For tickets and more information, log onto: https://www.boulevardmusic.com   JANET ROBIN’S WEBSITE - https://www.janetrobin.com/ THE STRING REVOLUTION - https://www.thestringrevolution.com/   INSTAGRAM | SPOTIFY | APPLE MUSIC   PHOTO CREDIT: Jeff Insel   Listen More. THE JEREMIAH SHOW Featuring Alan Ward Milwaukee-born rapper and songwriter Alan Ward joins The Jeremiah Show New Year's Eve for a candid conversation about craft, identity, and what it really means to build a career the hard way—fully independent, one record at a time.  He’s been called a torchbearer of the golden era of rap, transporting listeners back to the glory days of backpack rap. He’s known for combining modern hip-hop with old-school heart, sharing self-discovery, independence, and perseverance in his powerful lyrical rhymes.  He explains how he hears “words as music” and why honest storytelling still matters in an algorithm-driven era.    From growing up in Milwaukee’s sharply divided neighborhoods to his new life in Baltimore, Ward reflects on artistic integrity and the discipline of staying true to himself by avoiding shortcuts in the industry.    The episode closes, premiering Alan Ward’s latest single, “Great Time” featuring 4 The Brotherhood—a new chapter in his evolving sound.   “Rappers like Alan Ward are carrying the torch for Milwaukee, even from outside of the city” — Radio Milwaukee.   ALAN WARD’S WEBSITE - https://www.itsjusdez.com/  For TJS Fans, use this exclusive code for discounts on Alan Ward Merch: AW414 INSTAGRAM | SPOTIFY | APPLE   Chapters 00:00 Introducing Alan Ward 05:20 The Power of Words and Storytelling 16:36 Artist Integrity and Authenticity 22:19 Family and Music 27:45 Home: A Place or Mindset? 38:46 Inspiration from Hip-Hop Legends 40:20 The Significance of Mixtapes 46:44 Building an Authentic Brand 54:38 The Reality of Self-Belief 56:19 Future Aspirations and New Music   Listen More. Spend Christmas Eve with Mariel Hemingway, Melissa Yamaguchi, and me as we sit by the fire, sip cocoa, and reflect on gratitude for the year that’s passed. It’s late, it’s Christmas Eve, and the mood is warm, nostalgic, and light. This conversation isn’t heavy — it’s about connection, appreciation, and making it one more time around the sun together.   Mariel Hemingway is the Founder and President of the Mariel Hemingway Foundation and the host of the hit podcast Out Comes the Sun. For more than 20 years, Mariel has worked intensely in the mental health and wellness space, engaging with leading therapists, treatment centers, researchers, and individuals navigating mental illness. Through firsthand experience, she has seen the frustration many people face when trying to determine where to go, which treatment to try, and whom to trust. That experience led her to found the Mariel Hemingway Foundation, a compassionate resource navigator for individuals and communities seeking real, practical mental health solutions tailored to their unique needs.   Melissa Yamaguchi is the Co-Founder and Vice President of the Mariel Hemingway Foundation and the Co-Host of Out Comes the Sun. She has twice served as a judge for the Global Best Entrepreneurial Leadership Event sponsored by UCLA’s Anderson School of Business. Melissa is also the author of the Huffington Post blog Own Your Energy, Own Your Life, and has spent over 20 years lecturing around the world on balance and personal alignment through the 4,000-year-old practice of Feng Shui. Her TED Talk, Beyond Vision and Purpose, explores how understanding our choices shapes the lives we lead.   Out Comes the Sun is Mariel Hemingway’s podcast dedicated to mental, physical, and spiritual wellness. Each week, Mariel and Melissa welcome industry experts, professionals, and advocates to share stories, treatments, tools, and perspectives — both well-known and newly emerging — that support healthier, more balanced lives.   But tonight is different. It’s Christmas Eve. We slow things down, share laughs, reflect on the journey, and spend time together in gratitude.   Join Mariel Hemingway and Melissa Yamaguchi every Thursday on Out Comes the Sun.   Learn more about the Mariel Hemingway Foundation and its mission to compassionately assist individuals in navigating mental health treatment at: www.marielhemingwayfoundation.org Donate via Venmo: @MHFOUNDATION   Photography: Fadil Berisha   Listen More. This episode is dedicated in loving memory to Chris Liechty. *Originally Aired in 2022   Christmas comes early on The Jeremiah Show as we welcome back one of our most requested holiday guests — the sibling trio Girl Named Tom.   Caleb, Bekah Grace, and Joshua return after a whirlwind year on the road, with more than 100 tour dates behind them and a brand-new Christmas album in hand. Their latest release, One More Christmas, sets the tone for a heartfelt conversation about family, faith, music, and what the holidays really mean when you’ve been living out of a suitcase.   Before winning Season 21 of The Voice, all three siblings were on a very different path — including plans for medical school. They formed a band instead, naming it after a childhood nickname Joshua gave his sister, Bekah. Since then, they’ve made history as the first trio ever to win The Voice, built a devoted fanbase, and continued carving out a sound rooted in harmony and honesty. In this holiday special, we talk about the journey, the sudden fame, life on tour, and the stories behind One More Christmas. It’s a warm, reflective episode — perfect for the season.   Pick up One More Christmas and explore tour dates at www.girlnamedtom.com   Listen More. evolve  - - -   THE JEREMIAH SHOW Voices Carry - These Are Your Stories    POP CULTURE, MUSIC ICONS, & FOOD GODS  The Jeremiah Show - Please Subscribe & Rate - CLICK HERE   Check Out The Back Catalogs of Special Guests - CLICK HERE To Become a Sponsor of The Jeremiah Show CLICK HERE for Media Deck and Rates THE JEREMIAH SHOW BROUGHT TO YOU BY evolve entertainment network - www.thejeremiahshow.com   Host | Executive Producer - Jeremiah D. He paid off his first trumpet on layaway, lived in a roofless tool shed in L.A., and never stopped moving forward—David Longoria's story of beating the odds and overcoming life's challenges.    In this episode of The Jeremiah Show (Hollywood Composers Series with executive producer Carol Connors), Jeremiah D. Higgins talks with Grammy-winning trumpeter, composer, producer, and songwriter David Longoria. David shares the true origin story behind his career—growing up in Renton, Washington, raising goats and chickens, learning music through volunteers at the Salvation Army, and earning his first trumpet through a year-and-a-half layaway deal that became his “ticket” out.   David describes busking in Seattle’s public market as a kid, writing letters to public figures long before email existed, and arriving in Southern California at 17 with so little money he lived in a roofless tool shed for three years while building his career. From early gigs to major stages, he explains how hustle, preparation, and community support shaped everything that came next—including film scoring, chart success as a trumpeter in the dance world, and his 2025 Grammy win.   The conversation also covers David’s deep commitment to mentorship, his large-scale “We Are One” project, and his work with Carol Connors on the Grammy-nominated audiobook Elvis, Rocky and Me, narrated by Kathy Garver. It’s a motivating, behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to build a life in music—and how giving back can be part of the mission.   Catch up with David Longoria: http://www.davidlongoria.com/   Listen More. evolve   - - -   THE JEREMIAH SHOW Voices Carry - These Are Your Stories    POP CULTURE, MUSIC ICONS, & FOOD GODS  The Jeremiah Show - Please Subscribe & Rate - CLICK HERE   Check Out The Back Catalogs of Special Guests - CLICK HERE To Become a Sponsor of The Jeremiah Show CLICK HERE for Media Deck and Rates THE JEREMIAH SHOW BROUGHT TO YOU BY evolve entertainment network - www.thejeremiahshow.com   Host | Executive Producer - Jeremiah D. Adrienne Laswell is 14, and she’s building a magazine meant to help her generation think for themselves.   Adrienne Laswell, a young writer, is launching an online magazine called TITLE. Her goal is simple: help teens understand art, music, and culture beyond what social media algorithms keep pushing to the top. Adrienne explains how trend culture works at school and online, why it can feel overwhelming, and how it encourages people to perform an identity rather than live honestly.   The conversation digs into Adrienne’s idea of “constant performative living,” and why she believes it can contribute to anxiety, social pressure, and the breakdown of real connection. She also shares why she’s drawn to philosophy, especially Albert Camus and absurdism, and how those ideas can help young people deal with the search for meaning without feeling trapped by it.   Jeremiah and Adrienne also discuss her writing on modern rap, including her piece on dark or satanic imagery. Adrienne makes a clear distinction between symbolism and literal belief and discusses how controversy, branding, and attention can shape aesthetics in music. Throughout the interview, she comes back to the same point: young people need more perspective, more context, and more room to think.   TITLE is set to launch in early 2026, and Adrienne hopes it becomes a place where teens can discover ideas, learn how to ask better questions, and feel less controlled by the feed.   Keep up with Adrienne Laswell on her X feed: https://x.com/adrienneshutup   Listen More. evolve   - - -   THE JEREMIAH SHOW Voices Carry - These Are Your Stories    POP CULTURE, MUSIC ICONS, & FOOD GODS  The Jeremiah Show - Please Subscribe & Rate - CLICK HERE   Check Out The Back Catalogs of Special Guests - CLICK HERE To Become a Sponsor of The Jeremiah Show CLICK HERE for Media Deck and Rates THE JEREMIAH SHOW BROUGHT TO YOU BY evolve entertainment network - www.thejeremiahshow.com   Host | Executive Producer - Jeremiah D. “Dedicated with love to Lola and William Bayonas”    Laura Bayonas is a Spanish-born actress, filmmaker, and best-selling author whose creative voice was shaped by the cultural freedom and artistic rebellion of La Movida Madrileña, the post-Franco movement that redefined Spain’s film, music, and art scene.  Her career began remarkably early—she appeared in a TV commercial at age four and, at seven, played her first lead role in the acclaimed short film Correo de guerra (1972), directed by Augusto M. Torres.  Over the decades, she has continued to work across film, theater, and literature, building a body of work rooted in emotionally driven storytelling and character-focused craft.  She recently appeared in the FX/Hulu/Disney+ show English Teacher. In recent years, she directed and produced the Oscar-qualifying short film FAREWELL (completed in 2024) and is currently developing the feature screenplay Upon a Time, a biographical film about her beloved son William Grubb Bayonas, scheduled for 2025–26. Bayonas continues to bridge European cultural history with deeply human, contemporary narratives across multiple creative disciplines. In this episode of The Jeremiah Show, we revisit the cultural moment of 1996 and the “now-stalgia” wave bringing 90s music back into the spotlight. Donna Lewis reflects on the real journey behind “I Love You Always Forever,” from years of piano bars to hearing crowds sing it back for the first time. David Lowe shares how the 90s shaped his most creative years—both as the mind behind iconic BBC News themes and as Touch and Go, whose hit “Would You?” became a global club classic.   Then we bring Donna and David together to talk about their long-running creative partnership and the new body of work they’ve built over time: Wanderlust. They break down how their collaboration stays pressure-free, why imperfections can be the “soul” of a track, and what “home” really means in their new single, “Coming Home.”   CONNECT with Donna Lewis – https://www.donnalewis.com/ CONNECT with David Lowe  – https://davidlowemusic.com/   Listen More. Composer and pianist RIOPY joins The Jeremiah Show to talk candidly about his life, career, and creative process. He shares his early childhood growing up in a restrictive cult, where music was forbidden — and how he secretly taught himself composition on a piano he wasn’t allowed to touch. That experience, he explains, shaped both his discipline and his emotional connection to music.   RIOPY discusses his escape, his path to becoming a Steinway Artist, and key moments in his career, including Chris Martin of Coldplay purchasing a piano for him. The conversation also covers his work composing for major global brands such as Mercedes and the Calm app, hitting a billion streams, and extensive worldwide touring.   He explains how many of his piano pieces are written to align with the human heartbeat, his work on a meditation app currently in development, and his upcoming album, Be Love, releasing January 16.   CONNECT with RIOPY – https://riopy.com/ LISTEN to RIOPY - APPLE MUSIC   Pianist and multi-instrumentalist composer Jean-Philippe RIOPY... He was a pioneering figure in salsa and Latin Jazz, known for blending Afro-Caribbean rhythms with jazz, and was the first Latino to win a Grammy.    The Legendary Hollywood Film Composers Series, brought to you by The Jeremiah Show and Executive Producer Carol Connors, Featuring Howard Drossin   Step inside the creative world of Howard Drossin, one of the most versatile composer-producers working in film, television, and video games. From his early days as Music Director at SEGA to scoring iconic titles like Sonic & Knuckles, Comix Zone, Afro Samurai, and Splatterhouse, Drossin has built a reputation for blending orchestral depth with punk, metal, hip-hop, and jazz.   In this exclusive interview on The Jeremiah Show, Drossin discusses his genre-bending approach to composition, his long-running collaboration with RZA on The Man With the Iron Fists films, and his newest work on the acclaimed feature Highest 2 Lowest by Director Spike Lee. He breaks down his process, the emotional architecture behind his music, and the moments that shaped his career as one of today’s most innovative storytellers in sound.   Whether you’re a fan of film scores, game soundtracks, or behind-the-scenes Hollywood craft, this deep dive into Howard’s work offers rare insight into a composer who continues to redefine modern scoring.   TAKEAWAYS   Why he steps away from the studio, goes on walks, and replays scenes in his head to diagnose musical problems.   Practical craft lessons for young composers   How to avoid “blank-page paralysis,” why getting anything down is better than waiting for perfection, and why ego has to stay out of commercial scoring.   The Herbie Hancock principle: letting music lead   What it means to “let the music go where it wants to go,” and how following musical inertia can override rigid theory or school rules.   Why imperfection gives music its soul   How live, analog performances from the  ‘60s–’70s shaped his ears, and why he believes some modern hyper-edited, perfectly tuned work has lost that human character.   How video game and theme-park loops shaped his writing   Writing long, repeating loops with minimal voices taught him economy, concise melody, and sensitivity to listener fatigue.   The real story behind his Sega break and Sonic-era work   How a boring game-testing job, a cassette tape, and one phone call from a Sega VP launched his career as a game composer.   How Highest to Lowest was built musically from the inside out   Why he recorded the score “old school” with everyone playing together, how the end-song arrangement grows as David imagines producing Ayanna, and how genre mashups (Glasgow jazz trio + LA folk singer; Eddie Palmieri in the parade; the chase cue) came together.   How character and theme are woven into the score   Howard’s view that David King’s core flaw is a lack of empathy, and how he tried to express that in the music very subtly rather than with obvious musical “signals.”   - - -   THE JEREMIAH SHOW Voices Carry - These Are Your Stories    POP CULTURE, MUSIC ICONS, & FOOD GODS  The Jeremiah Show - Please Subscribe & Rate - CLICK HERE   Check Out The Back Catalogs of Special Guests - CLICK HERE To Become a Sponsor of The Jeremiah Show CLICK HERE for Media Deck and Rates THE JEREMIAH SHOW BROUGHT TO YOU BY evolve entertainment network - www.thejeremiahshow.com   Host | Executive Producer - Jeremiah D. Trust yourself, but be open.”   “Let the music go where it wants to go.”   Why Highest to Lowest feels like his “call-up to the majors.”   Highest 2 Lowest, Director: Spike Lee. Producers: Todd Black, Jason Michael Berman. Screenplay: Alan Fox. Starring Denzel Washington, A$AP Rocky, Ice Spice, Jeffrey Wright, Dean Winters. Just an Opinion...

This is one of the most irritating shows I've ever heard. The first 20 minutes is irritating and inane banter. That might appeal to millineal dunder heads but it won't last with adults. Pass this one by.
