The Two Gomers are back in this preview episode of their all new season! Join them as they chat about how they feel about the upcoming marathon, whether or not they’re still Gomers, how often they say the word “tease,” and whether or not they’ll make it on Conan this year.
Also, all the details you need to know about how to subscribe to the new podcast and stay connected to the GomerNation this season. Glad to be back, and Happy Running!
It’s the first official episode of Season 2…and the Gomers are scared. Join them as they discuss the challenges of starting a new training regimen, learn how to eat and run, and reacquaint themselves with the art of podcasting.
And so much more: Listener Feedback, Week in Review, the new jingle, new section “Eat and Run,” and the Monday Survey.
This Week’s Monday Survey: How do we eat while we’re training? What is your favorite thing to eat while training for a run? Anything we should avoid?
Pre-run snack.
Happy Running!
Episode Two is on, and the Gomers are getting into their marathon training. Join them as they talk about headaches vs. migraines, running at night vs. running in the day, chill songs vs. upbeat ones, burgers vs. chicken, and Danny Tanner vs. Joey Gladstone.
Gomer or no Gomer?
And so much more: Week in Review, Gomer’s Tips, Songs to Run To, Listener Feedback, and the all new Monday Survey. Happy Running!
This week’s Monday Survey: What Fall TV are you looking forward to in the next month or so? Wait, this is a running podcast, isn’t it?
Both Gomers ran races last week, and they have a lot to say on the subject…and it probably won’t surprise you that Anthony started a full 5 minutes after everyone else did at his 5k, and that Steven is still aching from his trail race, an entire week later. Oh well, they are Gomers after all!
THESE guys ran a Half-Marathon?!
Also, discussions on the antics of Kanye and Kramer, another true Gomer confession, and the stiff competition the Gomers face on iTunes. Plus, the TV shows they’re most looking forward to this fall. You didn’t think they’d just talk about running on their running podcast, did you? You must be new.
Monday Survey of the Week: We need help with our stretching routines. Actually, we don’t have stretching routines, and we’d like to. Should we stretch before or after the run? For how long? What are some stretches that have been helpful/harmful to you? We want to be limber and spry, you know. So help a Gomer out!
It’s a big one this week. The Gomers get down to brass tacks, letting you in on a little conversation that could change everything. Nervous? Join the club.
But don’t worry, the regular sections are here, too – Week in Review, Runner’s Corner, Songs to Run To…and Listener Feedback, where we discuss this very special, very detailed graph, submitted by a listener.
It’s all true.
This week’s Monday Survey is out of pure curiosity: Where are you when you listen to The Gomers? And how do you listen? When during the week? We’ll ask the “why” some other time, this podcast seemed heavy enough without getting into that. Happy Running!
This week is all about injury and sickness – so it should be a fun one! Listen in as the Gomers discuss sprains, sores, aches, pains, and boils. And the Gomers as cultural liaisons to Japan? It just might happen. Also, do we have a Biggest Loser mentality or a Survivor mentality? Go on, take a wild guess.
Our second-favorite obscenity-screaming trainer.
And all the other stuff too: Week in Review, Running in the Media, Songs to Run To, Listener Feedback, and our new Monday Survey. Thanks for all the amazing feedback this week, let’s keep it up! Happy Running (or recovering)!
This week’s Monday Survey: How do you stay in shape when you’re injured or sick? And how do you keep your spirits up? Gomer2 needs all the help he can get!
One Gomer runs while the other one continues to recover, slowly but surely, this week. Join them as they continue to hash out what this set-back means, and what people are saying about it…including their moms. Also, a challenge from Anthony in the Eat and Run section…and a debate concerning Chipotle that everyone’s in on, including the listeners.
Does this thing make you fatter? Or faster?
And a lot of other fun stuff on the way – Week in Review, Eat and Run, Songs to Run To, and Listener Feedback. Thanks for Listening, and Happy Running!
This week’s Monday Survey: What is your biggest food weakness? Since we’re going on the Fast Food Fast, we thought we’d ask – what’s the food that’s bad for you, but hardest for you to give up? Let us know!
After three weeks, Steven is back on his feet, and just about everything has changed. When will Gomer2 be able to run again without almost fainting? And how does this affect their plans for the marathon? With only one week left before their second DTR/Re-evaulation, the Gomers are getting a little worried.
But not too worried to stop talking about our biggest food weaknesses in the Listener Feedback, balancing work and workout in the Week in Review, two “new” songs in Songs To Run To, and ejecting Matt Lauer from a building in our brand new section, True Gomer Confessions.
Monday Survey: After last week’s topic, we need to cleanse our pallets a little, so the Gomers are looking for your HEALTHY eating tips. What is your favorite healthy food? How do you fuel your long runs, and with what? We want to eat right, especially with the dreaded holidays approaching! Happy Running!
Time’s up, and that means the Gomers have a decision to make. After four weeks of discussing, running, doubting, and shingling, what will they decide to do about the big marathon? The suspense is killing you, right? You’ll have to check out the Runner’s Corner for the big reveal!
Move…that…oh, never mind.
Plus another food-related Listener Feedback, our sappiest Songs to Run To ever, and Tony has to get something off his chest in a very special True Gomer Confessions. Oh, and we freak out a little about getting a mention on the #2 podcast on iTunes, Stuff You Should Know!
Monday Survey: Where are you? See the new link on the right called “The Gomernation?” Click on it and let us know where you are on the interactive map. We want to get a better idea of what exactly the Gomernation looks like. Thanks, and Happy Running!
It’s like when Anthony started that one race five minutes late, only the opposite. Seems like the Gomers spoke too soon on their marathon choice, and recorded two entire podcasts before they realized it. Sounds like a job for Future Anthony! And with the first appearance of Future Steven, they do their best to remedy the situation. MOVE THAT BUS BACK!
Sorry, dude.
Also, there’s two new Songs to Run To, a Gomernation-themed Listener Feedback, a positive Week in Review (for once), and Gomers Tips that quickly turn into the guys freaking each other out more and more about the looming marathon (whenever that may be).
Monday Survey of the Week: At long last, give us your input concerning treadmill vs. street running. What’s the difference? Is one better for you than the other? What’s with the different parts of our bodies aching when we alternate? Will our bodies ever STOP aching?
Happy Running!
Ok, this time it’s final. The Gomers have decided on a new marathon, AGAIN, and it’s a good one. Join them as they spend the next 20 weeks praying that the thing doesn’t get cancelled. But hey, if it does, that means more episodes, right? Maybe this is the podcast that will never end…
And check out all our regular features: Listener Feedback, Week in Review, two new Songs To Run To, and a brand new challenge in the Eat and Run section. Also, a peak behind the scenes at some Gomer texts. Talk about thrilling!
This week’s Monday Survey: We’re looking for “First Race Stories.” Share the story of that first race, or your first long race, to motivate the Gomernation to reach higher heights. Or just to make us laugh at the newbie-ness of it all. Whichever, if you can do it in a paragraph or less, tell us your first race story!
Oh, and p.s., here’s that link to the Running on a Treadmill video. Thanks Brandy! Happy Running!
What do Liz Lemon, Shannon from Lost, Miley Cyrus, all 18 Duggars, and Anthony’s landscaper have in common? You guessed it, they’re all on this week’s episode – and they all showed up to hear the guys announce their next big project, The Two Gomers Specials. Actually, the landscaper was the only one actually there, and his leaf-blowing was so loud he didn’t hear anything, but whatever. Liz Lemon would have been there if she wasn’t so busy.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we present to you…The Female Gomer.
But it’s not just about the announcement – there’s also Week in Review, Running in the Media, two new Songs to Run To, and a listener-story-packed Listener Feedback.
This Week’s Survey: In preparation for our upcoming special episode, The Two Gomers Thanksgiving Special: Two Gomers Get Thankful, we’re asking you to get thankful, too. When it comes to running, what are you most thankful for? Let us know, and Happy Running!
This week Future Anthony and Future Steven take a look back at when it all began, Episode 1 of Season 1. But it’s not just a rehash of the same old stuff – The Gomers step in between each section and give behind-the-scenes insight, editor’s commentary, and random thoughts you won’t find anywhere else. Unless someone else out there has started a Gomers Commentary podcast, which is doubtful.
So join the Gomers for a blast from the past! Not too far in the past, though, or they’d have to deal with this:
The boys (?) from left to right: gomer3, gomer1, and gomer2
Have a Happy Thanksgiving, and don’t forget to download Two Gomers Get Thankful, the first Two Gomers Special, this Black Friday! Happy Running!
Here it is, the first Two Gomers Special: Two Gomers Get Thankful! Join the guys as they take a look at their Gomer journey so far and pick the top three things they’re thankful for. Plus, so much more – insane fundraising stories, dramatic readings from the feared and fabled Third Gomer, and demonstrations on how to win every time at Track and Field for the original Nintendo.
Slap slap slap slap slap slap slap….
So grab the special while the grabbin’s good. Just click the first button to donate (suggested donation: $2.99) to the Two Gomers, and the second to download the Thanksgiving Special (right click on the DOWNLOAD button and select “Save target as…” or “Download Linked File”)! Thanks in advance for donating, we couldn’t do this without you! Have a great Black Friday, and see you next week in the Christmas episodes…Happy Running!
It’s the first of three Christmas Episodes, and the Gomers couldn’t be more excited. But they’ve also got a lot of catching up to do – both ran Turkey Trots over Thanksgiving, and Anthony ran ANOTHER race after that. That’s right, three races total in one week. All in the name of being able to eat whatever the heck they wanted.
Add a Double Double to that, and it’s the perfect meal.
All the regular fixins (Week in Review, Listener Feedback, Eat and Run, Songs to Run To, Monday Survey) and something special thrown in (Christmas Corner) make for an episode that will get you into the holiday spirit, guaranteed.
This week’s survey: We’re trying to assemble the Ultimate Runner’s Christmas List. What are you asking for this Christmas to help you in your running endeavors? The Gomers wanna know!
Happy (Christmas) Running!
The Gomers are really getting into the Christmas spirit now, with more discussions about food, music, and movies both classic (White Christmas) and kind of a stretch (The Godfather). Oh, and they ran last week, too. Kind of. Winter has decended upon gomer2, and gomer1 does his best to keep him motivated, even though all Steven’s doing is sitting around inside while the snow dumps outside, watching The Biggest Loser finale and eating chips.
Believe it, fat Danny.
They won’t let it get them down, though. Not with all the regular features to get to, like Week in Review, two new Songs to Run To, the Christmas Corner, Listener Feedback, an all-new Monday Survey…and a True Gomer Confession that’s kind of a game-changer. Happy Holidays, and Happy Running!
Here it is, the final of three in this year’s series of Christmas episodes. It’s sad, but the Gomers press on, packing in every tiny Christmas-related tidbit they can in between updating the Gomernation on how the marathon-training is going. Which is, incidentally, pretty well.
Join the Gomers as they relate tales of running both in the snow and 80 degree weather, watching classic Christmas movies, and responding to that many-layered question: “Why are you running a marathon? You must be crazy!”
Well, maybe they are, but just wait till you hear their dissertations on the links between Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation, and The Nutcracker and Home Alone. THEN tell them they’re crazy.
This week’s Survey: What are your New Years Resolutions? And don’t forget, the Christmas Gomer Rewind is next week, followed by the second Gomer Special: Two Gomers Get Resolute. Happy Christmas, and Happy Running!
Here’s one more taste of Christmas before you put that tree away – the second Gomer Rewind! This one is holiday-themed, as the Gomers take a look back at their favorite moments from last year’s Christmas episodes. It’s everything you’d expect – bemoaning snow-runs, waxing nostalgic, and trying not to eat like complete idiots. Plus a couple surprises – their most famous fan ever, and the most ridiculous Runner’s Corner ever recorded in the history of man. Oh, and a celebrity guest you will not want to miss!
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
Don’t forget our second Two Gomers Special, arriving New Year’s Day! Happy Running!
