World of Wonder did outstanding job of villanizing one of the drag race communities stars. Premier star at the time. They leveraged the Rolaskatox angle that already villanous, even though it wasn't really happening like that. Then they capitalized by having one of its members eliminate an extremely charismatic popular queen in favor of one of its own. And then Katya's Star was already on the rise. Not to mention she is a perennial fan favorite due to her relatable troubled likable self.
