Many women experience deep feelings of emptiness, rejection, abandonment, or longing, especially after broken relationships or seasons of emotional and spiritual pain. In those moments, it can be tempting to turn to substitutes for comfort, including New Age practices, emotional experiences, or external comforts that promise fulfillment but never truly satisfy. In this episode of New Age to Christ, Doreen explores the biblical truth of Jesus as our Bridegroom. Scripture reveals that believers are the Bride of Christ—loved with a pure, faithful, and sacrificial love that no earthly relationship can replace. Drawing from passages such as Matthew 9:15, Isaiah 54:5, John 3:29, Ephesians 5:25, and Revelation 19:7, this message shows how the gospel addresses the deepest longings of the human heart. Jesus does not offer a fleeting emotional experience, but lasting security, forgiveness, and hope through His life, death, and resurrection. This episode is especially encouraging for women leaving New Age spirituality, emotional dependency, or false spiritual practices, and learning to rest in Christ alone as the only source of true love and wholeness. Key themes include: • Why spiritual emptiness cannot be filled by external comforts. • Jesus as the faithful Bridegroom of His people. • The Bride of Christ and the marriage supper of the Lamb. • Healing hope for those who feel unseen or unloved. • Turning to prayer, Scripture, and trust in God's will. May this episode remind you that in Christ, you are deeply loved, eternally secure, and never abandoned. In this devotional episode of New Age to Christ, Doreen Virtue teaches from Scripture that Jesus Christ alone is the Cornerstone and foundation of our faith. When believers place their trust in people, circumstances, or themselves, instability follows. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 3:11 and related passages, this message calls Christians to examine their hearts, repent of misplaced trust, and rest fully in Christ—the unchanging foundation who secures our faith through every trial. In this episode of New Age to Christ, Doreen Virtue shares her testimony of leaving New Age universalism and syncretism to follow Jesus Christ alone. Doreen explains how she once attempted to blend Christianity with New Age spirituality—believing all paths and deities were the same. Though this approach appeared loving and inclusive, it was rooted in idolatry and stood in direct opposition to the truth of Scripture. In 2017, God graciously opened her eyes to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through repentance and faith in Christ's life, death, and resurrection, she came to understand that salvation is found in Christ alone, not in sincerity, spirituality, or religious blending. This episode serves as a warning against spiritual deception and a hopeful reminder that true forgiveness and reconciliation with God come only through Jesus Christ. In this episode of New Age to Christ, Doreen Virtue shares a devotional reflection on what it means to rely fully on God's strength rather than self-effort, spiritual techniques, or New Age practices. After coming to faith in Christ, many former New Age practitioners struggle to move from self-reliance to biblical dependence. Drawing from John 15, this message reminds us that Jesus is the True Vine, and apart from Him we can do nothing of lasting spiritual value. This episode addresses: • Why New Age spirituality leaves people spiritually empty • The danger of relying on personal effort instead of God's grace • What it truly means to abide in Christ • Why spiritual fruit is evidence of salvation, not the cause of it • How prayer replaces striving with trust in God's strength If you are feeling weary, overwhelmed, or tempted to rely on your own strength, this episode offers biblical encouragement to rest in Christ and depend on Him daily. In this episode of New Age to Christ, Doreen Virtue explains why Christians must reject manifesting, vision boards, decreeing, and spiritual shortcuts. These practices place human will at the center rather than submitting to God's authority. True biblical prayer trusts God's wisdom, timing, and sovereignty, resting fully in Christ alone. Proverbs 3:5–6 reminds believers to trust the Lord and acknowledge Him in every way. For more from Doreen please visit: https://servantsofgrace.org/doreen-virtue/
Many women seek peace through yoga, meditation, and New Age spirituality, only to find themselves more anxious and burdened. In this episode, Doreen Virtue shares how counterfeit calm can never satisfy the soul and how true peace is found only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Rooted in Scripture, this message points listeners to Jesus as the Prince of Peace whose presence steadies believers even in spiritual warfare and trials. Yoga is often presented as harmless exercise or wellness, but its origins tell a different story. This episode examines the spiritual foundations of yoga and explains why those roots cannot be separated from the practice itself. Drawing from Scripture, this teaching shows that yoga was designed as a spiritual pathway connected to Hindu deities, not as neutral stretching. The Bible consistently warns that participation in idolatrous practices opens the door to spiritual confusion and warfare. Christians are called to submit to God, resist the devil, and close every spiritual foothold that opposes Christ. Using passages such as James 4:7, Acts 19:18–20, and 1 Corinthians 10:20–21, this episode calls believers to biblical discernment and wholehearted devotion to Christ alone. Many New Age healing practices are presented as natural, harmless alternatives to Western medicine. Yet Scripture warns that spiritual deception often disguises itself as light. In this episode of New Age to Christ, a former New Age teacher and healer explains why practices such as Reiki, energy healing, EFT tapping, past-life regression, and trance-based therapies are not spiritually neutral. Though they may appear helpful or even effective, these practices frequently open the door to pagan spirituality, occult influence, and unbiblical evangelism. Drawing from personal experience and the Word of God, this episode calls Christian women to exercise biblical discernment in matters of health and healing, to remain sober-minded, and to guard against counterfeit spirituality that undermines faith in Christ. True healing, lasting peace, and eternal hope are found in Jesus Christ alone, who redeems, restores, and will one day raise His people in glory. Why are so many women drawn into New Age spirituality and modern forms of witchcraft? In this episode of New Age to Christ, Doreen Virtue explains how trauma, fear, and a desire for peace, safety, power, and emotional healing often lead women toward New Age practices such as tarot, Reiki, psychics, and energy healing. Though these practices may feel comforting, Scripture warns that they offer a counterfeit peace and function as spiritual warfare disguised as light. The devil offers false comfort, but Jesus offers true rest. Jesus said, "Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). True peace is found only through repentance and faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ, not through mystical practices or self-focused spirituality. In this NAR to Christ devotional, Doreen Virtue examines Jesus' declaration in John 11:25, "I am the resurrection and the life," and contrasts biblical truth with popular New Age near-death experience claims. Drawing from her own testimony, Doreen explains how near-death experience stories often contradict one another and ultimately contradict Scripture. She points listeners back to the gospel of Jesus Christ, emphasizing repentance, faith, and salvation by grace alone through Christ alone. This episode reminds believers that eternal life is not based on mystical experiences, emotions, or personal stories, but on the finished work of Jesus Christ. We are called to walk by faith, fix our eyes on Christ, and trust God's Word above all other voices. The message to "awaken your inner goddess" is spreading rapidly across social media and New Age spirituality, but it stands in direct opposition to biblical Christianity. In this episode of New Age to Christ, Doreen exposes the deception behind the so-called divine feminine movement. Scripture never teaches that women are divine or called to worship themselves. Instead, God created men and women to worship Him alone and to live under His sovereign authority. The "inner goddess" message replaces the Creator with the creature, encouraging self-worship rather than repentance and faith in Christ. This episode calls listeners to biblical discernment and warns against spiritual teachings that elevate self above God. We contrast New Age spirituality with biblical womanhood and point listeners back to the sufficiency, authority, and glory of God's Word. 📘 Mentioned Resource: Eve's Pagan Daughters — free to read on Kindle Unlimited For more from Doreen please visit her page at Servants of Grace: https://servantsofgrace.org/doreen-virtue/
In this week's New Age to Christ devotional, Dave Jenkins reflects on the truth of Jesus as our Good Shepherd. Drawing from personal experience growing up with false teachings, Dave explains how Psalm 23 and John 10 reveal Jesus' sacrificial love, protection, and guidance. Jesus laid down His life for His sheep, calling us to recognize His voice, follow Him, and trust Him to lead through life's dark valleys. Dave emphasizes the importance of reading Scripture daily to know the real Jesus and avoid false shepherds. Scripture References: • John 10:1–27 • Psalm 23 Reflection Question: How does knowing that Jesus, the Good Shepherd, laid down His life for you help you trust Him to guide you through uncertain paths?
In the hymn Hark the Herald Angels Sing, the line "God and sinner reconciled" captures the heart of the gospel. Humanity is separated from God because of sin, unable to repair the relationship. Yet in His mercy, God sent His Son to bear the punishment we deserved. God is love, and He is also holy and just. The angels' announcement of peace in Luke 2:14 proclaims true peace with God — a peace made possible through Christ's atoning death, where hostility was removed without compromising God's holiness. As Paul explains in 2 Corinthians 5:18–19, reconciliation is God's gracious work through Christ. The hymn wisely uses the singular word "sinner" to make the message personal. Reconciliation is offered to each sinner who repents and believes. Romans 5:1 declares, "Since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." May this message call us to turn from sin and rest in Christ alone, the only One who brings forgiveness, reconciliation, and true peace with the Father. Many Christians experience sudden thoughts of shame, fear, or discouragement about sins God has forgiven. Scripture teaches that these condemning thoughts are part of spiritual warfare the enemy acting as "the accuser of the brethren." But believers are not left defenseless. Christ Himself is our Advocate, interceding for us and declaring that our sins are paid in full. In this New Age to Christ devotional, Doreen Virtue explains the difference between godly sorrow and satanic accusation, how the enemy uses lies to discourage believers, and how Christ restores, defends, and strengthens His people.
