Description

You are always becoming—life is always changing, growing and adapting into something new.

Look at creation for example, it’s continually blooming, changing or shedding something. Nature never quits and neither do we. It rests for a time but it’s always birthing something new, in and out of seasons.

This podcast is for the woman who is becoming—the one in the quiet spaces, the mundane, and busyness of life, aching for more of God.

Pit, Purpose + Redemption:  When I think about the valleys or the pits in my own life and I think, will they ever end? God will bring his hand of reprieve for a time and its beautiful and I am reminded and even more convinced of His goodness. But why is it that I seem to fall back into these pitiful places time and time again? The purpose of this episode is to shed light on God's redemptive goodness and the operational power of grace to pull you up and out of the difficult places and seasons that life so often deals. In this episode, we will discover the PURPOSE of the pit as spiritual + formational. Biblically, the pit is always a place where God-Reorients someone-Reveals something-Refines something-Rebuilds someone-Reframes identity-Resets direction-Removes false dependencies-Roots someone deeper At the end of the day, God is forming something in each of us that comfort never could. And when you are in the dark, God is forming you. The pit is a place—not a verdict. The pit is not a label, an identity , a punishment, areport card a spiritual diagnosis, or a sign of immaturity  or evidence of weakness. Its simply the place where humanity meets God;s mercy. And that’s always messy. Always raw. Always holy. Thanks for being here.
What is Faith?

What is Faith?

2026-01-0626:58

What is Faith? Faith isn’t having every step mapped out or being certain of the outcome—its choosing to step anyway. It’s the surrender of, “I don’t know what I am doing” paired with the courage of , “But I am showing up anyway. ” That kind of trust requires humility (acknowledging your limits) and boldness (acting despite of them). I really think God delights in that posture. Scripture often shows Him responding to people who moved forward imperfectly but faithfully—Abraham setting out “not knowing where he was going.” Peter stepping out of the boat onto the water, and the disciples stumbling but still following. None of them have a polished plan. What they had was trust. Is God in it? I don’t know but if you wait til you feel confident you will wait your whole life. Do it afraid, do it when you don’t feel ready or prepared. If you feelfull qualified, comfortable and in control, you might be in the wrongcalling—God usually calls the unready, not the overprepared. I hope this episodes brings courage to you today as you learn to step out and take risk in the things He is leading you in today.
Let’s talk about dreaming after disappointment. Maybe you're in a season where dreaming feels super hard and sticking your neck out one last time is the last thing you want to do. Because for some of us maybe our biggest battle isn’t disappointment, it’s over yielding out of disappointment, it’s mistaking numbness for peace and trading risk for relief and then calling that faith. But let me tell you, you’re not here for relief. You’re here for revival. You’re here to plant orchards not just settle in safe gardens. What if I ask God and he says no again? What if I step out and it fails like the last time? What if I hope too hard and it only lands me in disappointment? So, we spiritualize the settling. Because listen friends, calling will always cost more than comfort. If you're in a similar season and navigating this very thing, thanks for being here. I hope this episode is what you need to keep going and have the courage to keep moving forward.
Welcome back to the podcast. Today on Episode 9 we are talking all things surrendered desire + bold faith and the paradox that can come with dreaming big with God. If you know me, you know I am a dreamer at heart. But sometimes dreaming big can land us disappointed and desires left unmet. This episode will challenge you to continue to declare God's faithfullness even if you don't get the timing you were hoping for or the dream doesn't quite land, will you still praise him. If you're hungry for depth and to turn up the truth, listen into this next episode because I believe God wants to encourage you today to keep dreaming big dreams and trusting him even if the outcome isn't quite what you thought or even hoped for.
The eternal reward of God’s work far outweighs temporary success on earth. Your desire for impact, influence, and fruit may feel unmet now, but your perserverence in faith, love, and service is eternal. So if you’re in a waiting season—the fruit may not fully manifest now, but God is recording it in his hall of faith.  But here is what I am learning. Maybe the point isn’t always to see the fruit right now. Maybe the point is to sow seeds you may never see. Trusting that God is working beneath the surface. Even when you feel like nothing is happening. That’s what I want to talk about today. Thanks for being here.
I can pour in, and I can be poured into. I can lean in close, and I can step back andbreathe. I can engage fully, and I can retreat to be renewed. I can be present, and I can find reprieve. I can hold space for others, and I can hold space formyself. What cultural Christianity often sounds like: A good mom sacrifices everything with a smile. If you're weary, you're probably not spiritual enough. Holiness=busyness for others. It's all about performing and proving. It uses religious words but is powered by guilt and comparison. Not grace.  What Jesus actually offers--Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Jesus withdrew often to lonely places to pray. He did not heal every person in Israel . He lived within limits. Joy in the spirit isn’t forced—it flows from abiding, not pretending. Sacrifice is rooted in love, not compulsion. We are all being invited into compassionate motherhood--not a performingor striving one. A motherhood that says, I’m not limitless, but I am beloved. Myreprieve is good, my leaning in is ok. And both together make me whole.
Welcome back! Today we are asking ourselves the question if what we are building, is it kingdom-building or self-building? Especially when the things we are building look good on paper, like launching a coaching business or a podcast or even hosting retreats. The original idea came from some thoughts that I had been wrestling with personally, like how do I discern if I am making life about me, my wishes, my dreams, my desires or if I’m making life about him and building His kingdom. Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. And all these things shall be added unto." When we can give up our need to be meaningful and be impactful, we can learn to live a life of surrender and ultimately trust God to our desires as we build His kingdom. Amen? Because here is the truth, you are already meaningful. Not because you did something big, but because you are already fully loved, fully chosen and fully enough in Christ.
If you’re struggling with a chronic condition, an unmet need or just feeling blind sighted--listen, the kingdom of God is built for the broken. It is made for the ones who fall and cry out again. For the ones who don’t “graduate” from needing a savior. For the ones who don’t always rise strong but rise surrendered. You do not have to love the road you are walking on to walk it with courage. You do not have to enjoy the fire to come out refined. And you don’t have smile through the pain to be doing it right. So today let's dive into this topic together--we are talking all things emotional set backs or whether your dealing with a physical illness or chronic diagnosis, grieving a relationship or just feeling blind sighted by the hard stuff, there is an emotional weight that comes with all of these things--you know that kind that knocks the wind right out of you. And maybe your grieving-- holding on to a momentary hope or relief that you once lived with and now you feel like youre back to square one, even though you really are not. You're not alone. Let's listen in together.
Welcome to our second episode on the Becoming Podcast and today we are going to tackle the subject of discovering our purpose and calling while also unpacking that we will always be wrestling with these feelings of insatiability or that longing for more on this journey called lifeAnd not just purpose and calling but the longings of our heart, the desires unfulfilled and sometimes, if you're like me, that insatiableness that cannot quite be quenched on this side of heaven. So ultimately as we unpack this topic of discovering your unique purpose and calling and fulfilling the desires and longings of our heart, just know this overarching theme its not found in this life, but in the life to come. There is so much more. And yes if you  live life the way you desire know that at the end of that road life will always be empty and meaningless because it's there that the becomes the catalyst that actually causes us to search for God.
Welcome to the podcast--today we are diving into something that been stirring in my own heart: how do we build a kingdom fruit-filled life in the midst of daily schedules and toddler meltdowns? For me, it’s often easy to abide with the Lord in the early mornings—when the house is quiet, His presence feels near, and I can sense His spirit so tangibly. But as the day unfolds, with all its demands and distractions, that closeness can start to fade. Maybe you’ve felt that too—like when you come home from a women’s retreat or a powerful conference. The worship fades, the touch from the Lord seems to slip away, and suddenly the holy feels a little harder to hold onto. So here’s the tension: How do we carry what we’ve experienced in those sacred, quiet moments into the ordinary hours of our day? How do we remain in him when the to-do lists stack up, the needs keep coming, and life pulls in every direction? Let's unpack this together. Thanks for being here.
Raising a family is kingdom work—one of the must under praised and overlooked, but also one of the most important roles in the kingdom. But how do we learn to navigate both the dreams in our heart while juggling life at home? The truth is, you cannot do it all. But the good news? You were never meant to. God does not ask you to be everything to everyone. He simply asks you to say “yes” to whats yours today. However, recognize you’re not choosing between your children and your calling. Your both/and life is possible—it just has to be stewarded wisely and seasonally. You do not have to choose one over the other and you can live life integrated and learn to navigate both callings well. So, join me in Episode 3 to remind you that you are not only a mother, you're a daughter first of the Most High God and you can live powerfully to your life today. Amen?
Welcome to our very first episode on the Becoming Podcast and Sarah, your host is talking about the mundane of life and how we will always have the mundane in our daily walk and we will always have hidden seasons. Sarah shares about becoming faithful in the little and showing up when no one sees, being consistent in the hidden places--whether that's in parenting, creating or simply staying present in a hard season. And maybe you've felt hidden in your current season of life and in this episode, Sarah highlights that being hidden is not a bad thing and its not failure--it's actually formation. God does His most deepest work in the quiet corners--where no one else sees but Him, and we have got to learn to steward our hiddenness well. The mundane and hidden seasons are never waisted--but often time its what God uses to build the foundation of where he wants to take us in our unique and specific calling. So if you've ever felt like you've been in a hidden season for too long or can't seem to quite find value in the mundane and feel bogged down by the daily wash, rinse, repeat --this episode shows you how to navigate these seasons well with integrity and confidence in a good God who longs to take you from where you are to where you are going. Amen?
