Description

Stay current on social media trends in short weekly episodes: "some SoMe" gives you short updates on what’s trending across Social Media. Hosted by Freddy (a millennial) and Lea (Gen Z), both working in social media every day. No (ok, maybe a little bit) banter and blah—but mainly matters, how it works, and why it’s relevant.

Cute, aber trotzdem Content for Business. Der dritte, virale Trend drei hat mit Schreien, Mariah Carey und Produkt-Showcase zu tun: „Why you so obsessed with me“ ist ideal, um Produkte witzig zu präsentieren, Reichweite zu pushen, auf der For You Page zu landen und nebenbei Sales anzukurbeln. Keywords: Social Media Trends, TikTok Trends, Instagram Trends, Business Content, Content Strategie, Guilty as Charged, Mini Barista, Carousel Post, Mariah Carey, Why you so obsessed with me, Hook, Engagement, Reichweite, Follower, Sales Content, Produkt-Showcase, Viral
Keywords: Social Media Trends, TikTok Trends, Instagram Trends, LinkedIn Content, Content Strategie, Hook, Trend Content, I know who protect me, Maybe in another life, I fell but I saved, Brand Content, Produktmarketing, Sales Content, Reichweite, Follower Growth
Keywords: Social Media Trends, TikTok Trends, Instagram Trends, trending Audio, Meme Trend, Rihanna, Sunshine Boy, GET EM BANNED, Employer Branding, KMU Marketing, Content Strategie, Engagement, Reichweite, Sales, Community Building
„**Does he…?**“ – ja, macht er denn? Unser zweiter Trend inszeniert euer **Business**, euer **Produkt** oder euren **Kunden** als den besseren Boyfriend: **Acts of Service** als Love Language. Das ist **Performance- und Sales-Content** mit **witty Attitude** – also Conversion-Potenzial ohne Werbe-Mief. Und zu guter Letzt: **„Googled my symptoms“**. Wer hat’s nicht schon mal gemacht? **Relatable Content** at its best. Nur geht’s hier nicht um die Symptome, sondern um die Behandlung: **euer Content**, **euer Produkt**, eure Lösung. **Wenig Aufwand, viel Performance.** **Keywords:** Social Media Trends, Meet the Crew Carousels, Carousel Post, Employer Branding, Creative Employer Branding, Performance Content, Sales Content, Relatable Content, Instagram Trends, TikTok Trends
Neues Jahr, neuer Podcast! Keywords: Chinesisches Neujahr, Lunar New Year, Social Media Trends, Vague Posting, Tip Stacking, Content Strategie, Engagement, Instagram, TikTok, Creator Economy
Bad Bunny is everywhere and his Super Bowl performance is probably already in your feeds. Surprised? You shouldn't be :P. Our first trend is the whole Benito Bowl Topic. How do brands take part in pop-culture? Does it help reach followers and boost sales? And did I just wrote the last sentence for the SEO? The second trend is all about getting your life together: "Admin Nights" as the GenZ's like Lea call it. We like this trend because it opens up a new opportunity to be relevant in the lives of your target group. Just understand your followers bubbles, join and most important: don't let it burst! For the third trend we are getting deep: "Drag path" is all about emotional storytelling, opening up and sharing with your followers. We also talk "what is entertainment" and reach the genius conclusion "Entertainment is the opposite of boring". And last but not least, we end this rather talky episode with a very complicated outro. Well. What can you do?
After admitting, that we didn't predict the lonesome Penguin-Trend we talk about "Reality TV Edits", a creative way to reveal CTAs on TikTok and stuff that lives rent free in our brains. Yes, brains, not heads. The first trend revolves heavily around Storytelling and editing your Content in a Reality TV Style - high effort, higher outcome! This piece of Content could become your lighthouse. Your stand-out edit to reach new followers and let your community peek behind the curtain of your brand. The second trend is a now or never kind of text-reveal on TikTok. Spread your message by jumping around, become trending and tell your community basically everything you want. Our last trend is the return of the Roman Empire: "Living Rent Free In My Brain" makes use of a song that's trending on TikTok right now and you can use it to highlight whatever! As long as it entertains your followers, anything goes.
This week, we start with some impressions. Owl-impressions to be specific. A trend that's not only easily adaptable but also hilarious! "Whoo" would have thought? Then, we get juicy and spill the tea: Victoria Beckham crashed her sons wedding-dance and since there is no footage of this incident, the socials just started imagining how it might have looked. Not a meme, rather a trending topic for your to get creative with, entertain your community, reach some new followers and maybe even drive your sales? For the last trend we have to thank Macron! "For sure" became an instant classic. Use it. Stitch it. Let the president of France sell your products, gain new followers and all this without having to get political. Great, right?
You know these doubts? This always lingering question if anybody even cares about what you post? Our first trend this week plays with this exact situation. It's a shout-out to your biggest supporters and/or haters. But as long as it drives engagement we don't really care, do we? ;) Anyways, this is perfect to please your community, strengthen your bond to your followers and even gain some new ones! Our second trend is not as wholesome as it sound: "It's ok, people make mistakes" it's rather a cheeky punchline then a healthy error culture. We think this trend is as funny as it is useful to showcase your products, drive sales and create fast & funny content. Honestly - there is no reason to not make use of this Social Media Trend! Third but not least: "The Trio Trend" - here the goal is to tell three relatable traits to drive engagement. This is one of the more challenging trends, but also a very worthwhile one. Why? You get three chances to drive engagement. Three chances of reaching more followers. And three chances to make your community laugh.
We're kicking of 2026 by traveling back ten years: 2016 Nostalgia is the first trend and it's so so so engaging! You literally just need to post content in the realm of "remember when?" and wrap your followers in a nice warm cozy blanket of nostalgia. Why this trend works? Well, listen to the episode! But it's safe to say that this is a highly engaging trend that invites your audience to comment, follow and reminisce. The second trend is all about being in on the inside joke and is there a better feeling? The "365 Buttons" are a current trend that is all about not explaining yourself. But more important, it's also about showing your audience that you are in on relevant topics and speak Social Media fluently. New followers guaranteed. For the last trend, we picked up a highly creative & entertaining format idea you can copy and adjust specifically to your / your companies / your clients needs. It's all about entertaining your audience and remember: On Social Media you do not advertise. You entertain. You might be able to push content, but your audience is also able to swipe on it. Oh, getting preachy here... Nobody reads this anyways, right? But you know what? If you did read until here, just DM us on Insta the Code 3434 and I`ll invite you to a bottle of Champagne. First come first serve. ;) Here comes the SEO stuff: TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X/Twitter, Threads, BeReal, Snapchat Viral Trends, Viralität, Trending Audio, Trending Topics, Social Media Trends, Content Trends, Platform Updates, Algorithm Updates Reels, Stories, Carousels, Short-Form Content, Long-Form Content, UGC (User Generated Content), Behind-the-Scenes, Tutorials, POV-Content Content Strategy, Social Media Marketing, Performance Marketing, Community Management, Creator Economy, Influencer Marketing, Organic Reach, Engagement Rate Content Ideas, Content Inspiration, Creative Concepts, Storytelling, Brand Voice, Authentic Content, Relatable Content AI Content, ChatGPT, AI Tools, Gen Z Marketing, Micro-Trends, Niche Content, Algorithmus-Hacks, Social Commerce Social Media Manager, Content Creator, Marketing Teams, Agenturen, Brands, CMOs, Creator erklärt, analysiert, decoded, deep dive, Insights, Learnings, Best Practice, Case Studies

Yeah... the reality of working in marketing in December caught up with us and we didn't manage to produce an episode this week. We are sorry, we truly are. But don't worry, we'll be back next week!
The first trend this week urges you to get raw & real! The "My Private vs. My Public Instagram" is the perfect occasion to reach new and existing followers by giving them a glimpse behind the scenes. It really is another trend in this shift towards authentic content vs. polished content. Can you use it for content marketing? Yes! Will it be hard to sell it to your boss? Maybe. Would it be worth it? Absolutely! The second trend is not about your actual wishlist but "Things I'd put on my wishlist, if I didn't already had them." - it's an amazingly easy trend that is actually more of a hook to get your audience involved, to fire up your Creator and Influencer Collabs and of course to market your products. For our last trend, we get philosophical. And also Japanese. This wholesome trend makes use of an existing audio, that talks about "Wabi Sabi". You don't have to be a dog shelter or small bakery to make use of this trend that shows beauty in the irregular. A gentle rebellion against the polished world of TikTok, Instagram & LinkedIn. Enjoy! Does anybody read this by the way? Anyways, here comes the SEO stuff: TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X/Twitter, Threads, BeReal, Snapchat Viral Trends, Viralität, Trending Audio, Trending Topics, Social Media Trends, Content Trends, Platform Updates, Algorithm Updates Reels, Stories, Carousels, Short-Form Content, Long-Form Content, UGC (User Generated Content), Behind-the-Scenes, Tutorials, POV-Content Content Strategy, Social Media Marketing, Performance Marketing, Community Management, Creator Economy, Influencer Marketing, Organic Reach, Engagement Rate Content Ideas, Content Inspiration, Creative Concepts, Storytelling, Brand Voice, Authentic Content, Relatable Content AI Content, ChatGPT, AI Tools, Gen Z Marketing, Micro-Trends, Niche Content, Algorithmus-Hacks, Social Commerce Social Media Manager, Content Creator, Marketing Teams, Agenturen, Brands, CMOs, Creator erklärt, analysiert, decoded, deep dive, Insights, Learnings, Best Practice, Case Studies
This week, we kick it of with the "The Lying Game". But can a game become content for your Brand Channel? Well, of course! As long as you don't play it for the win, but for the entertainment. So here we are, giving you some tips & tricks (also production-wise) for this funny, silly Content Inspiration. Next, we picked a trend where you can use basic screenshots to entertain your followers, build community and even shape your Brand-personality. But here's the catch: These screenshots might be confidential. So please ask for permission. Or just use our community management Idea and get great engagement. Last, we ask you to "Don't judge, that could be you some day". But in a very ironic way. In fact in such an ironic way, that this is a try-if-you-dare trend and test your community, shape your online-persona or you just put an educational twist to it and everything's fine. We hope ;)

Welcome back to some SoMe — your weekly mini-brief & inspiration on what’s actually trending across social: This week we talk about the "Group 7" and what to do with this very SoMe-In-A-Nutshell-Trend. It's all about exclusivity, being in a group, followers, creators and all because of a performance-test by Sophia James. Sounds interesting? You're absolutely right! Also can crime be funny? If you take a look at how TikTok and Instagram react to the Louvre Heist, yes it can be! It even has to be! Why? Maybe because Gen Z and Gen Alpha are the least serious generation there ever was? Maybe, maybe... And last but not least, if you have haters the "Take-It"-trend is for you! Just give them the middle finger and lipsync to Ariana Grande. We’re Lea (Gen Z) and Freddy (Millennial). Can you use this trend to gain more followers for your business? Also, the viral "Opera Singing"-Trend that would also work as great content if it wasn't a trend! It's all about getting a reaction. Just make sure to get consent. And last, but not least we've got a the transformation trend "Two Octobers, Two Different People" where you can showcase the transformation you made one in one year. But of course, also the transformation your product, your business, your start-up or your customers made. Just get creative :) We’re Lea (Gen Z) and Freddy (Millennial). Welcome back to some SoMe — your weekly mini-brief on what’s actually trending across social: After definitely not having been to Italy and therefore being one day late, we discuss the funny (or not?) new prank trend where people use Artificial Intelligence to it's full potential by creating strangers in there own homes. We also talk about two spooky mini-trends for the price of one: The game "This Halloween we're not gonna be..." (where Freddys inner Copywriter kicks in) and the "Viral Ghost Photoshoot". And last but not least we are trying to wrap our heads around "Raw-Dogging Boredom" - is it possible to get paid for doing nothing? And how can you use this for your business? We’re Lea (Gen Z) and Freddy (Millennial). Each week we scroll, test, and translate trends into plain(-ish) English so you don’t have to.
