When the servant begged for mercy, something unexpected happened. In Episode 1, we heard from the servant who was forgiven a massive debt by the king. In today’s episode, we hear from the fellow servant. He owed a much smaller amount of money and hoped for patience so he could pay it back. But something surprising happened. The servant who had just been forgiven a huge debt refused to forgive him. This part of the story helps us understand something important. Forgiveness matters, and refusing to forgive hurts more than one person.
