I take this parable the opposite way. The treasure is you. No one seeks after God unless the Father draws him. You don't give up everything. You don't find Christ then hide him again, only to then "purchase" the field or buy Christ. Is that what the kingdom of Heaven is like? No. The field as it says, is the world. You are in the world. The man who finds the treasure IS JESUS. He finds YOU buried in your sin. You are a treasure to him. HE gives up EVERYTHING to purchase you. This is about what Christ does for us, what the kingdom of Heaven is like.
A good reminder
God bless the preaching of his word!
Great teaching today! 👍
An honest, soundly doctrinal Word about the times we're in now. a Word for 2020.

Inspired teaching, as always, from Chuck. Thank you.
