Legal Team, before we dive into the Tommy Manzo federal trial transcript (we’ve already recorded two episodes and only made it through opening statements and the testimony of Dina and David Cantin), we wanted to refresh your memory on the Manzo family’s complicated legal history. We re-listened to our own episode and were shocked all over again by the sequence of events and the nature of the crimes. From alleged mob connections, including the still unsolved murder of Albert Manzo Sr., to intertwined families, violent attacks, and deep family rifts, this rerun covers the chaos that’s followed the Real Housewives of New Jersey adjacent family for decades. these are cults, operating as business pretending to be religions. is it really surprising? l'm not American. the casual way the US in general embraces cults, operating as businesses when they do harm to their members and they are not even able to use informed consent, is gross. but they can hid behind religious Protections and freedom. gross.
