Ryan spent the last two years unflinchingly standing in solidarity with Neve Campbell and the Scream franchise, and supported continuing on with Scream 7. A vast majority of fans believe the trailer for Scream 7 is terrific and this entry has some of the greatest potential ever in the series due to the talent involved. However, in an effort to display objectivity, this episode explores potential red flags of Scream 7 and what could go wrong despite the high hopes and optimism. Ryan focuses concerns on the identity of Ghostface and his/her motive, while Jess Melendez worries about the big-picture relevancy of Scream 7 in a chapter of Sidney's story. In the introduction, Anthony Dapuzzo (Never Split Up podcast) shares fears of Scream 7 playing into the modern trend of easter eggs. "The Final Scream," the third and final spec script written LA-Times best-selling writer, Joe Vallese, will be released on the SWRCS podcast on December 19, 2025, on the heels of the Scream (1996) anniversary and the holiday season. This script follows "Scream 7" (the end of the Carpenter sister era, episode 112) and "Screams (a Gale-centric script, episode 155). "The Final Scream" completes this SWRCS trilogy by focusing on Sidney's family (two younger daughters, unlike Tatum in the upcoming Scream 7) and her marriage to Mark Kinciad (not Evans, like in the upcoming Scream 7). The plot is: Sidney Prescott's sense of peace and security is unmoored by the revelation of a dark secret - and a slew of new Ghostface murders hitting too close to home. We hope this script provides some closure to the Sidney/Mark Kincaid fans since Patrick Dempsey did not return for the feature film releasing in February. "The Final Scream" is emotional and contemplative, yet it's also epic and wide in scope. Gale Weathers also assumes an important role and the arc of the film ties into the fabric of the original trilogy. Like the past two scripts, "The Final Scream" will be read aloud by Ryan like an audio book and released as a podcast episode. The script itself will be available to Patreon subscribers Tier 2 and above to read. We hope to see everyone on December 19 for the premiere!

Then, Ryan is joined by contributors Anthony Dapuzzo (Never Split Up Podcast) and Jess Melendez to compare the different approaches to legacy sequels of Scream with the Jurassic World films. In this episode, Ryan is joined by Lucas and Ashley to outline the legacies of Scream 3 and Scream 4 as the underrated sequels of the franchise. In particular, Ryan highlights how Scream 3 and Scream 4 were viewed and maligned early on into their journeys, but how over time, audiences have come to reevaluate each film for the merits that were misunderstood at the time of release. Ryan demonstrates how big social and culture shifts in pop culture have shaped a more favorable landscape for the two sequels, but that Scream 3 and Scream 4 have the lasting quality to deserve their newfound respect. Meanwhile, Lucas reacts to the Scream 7 trailer, and the novel "The Fate of Ophelia" is selected as the Taylor Swift Song of the Week, since Scream 3 and Scream 4's reputations were saved from the fate of being misunderstood and hated.
