Koi Keepers Anonymous

We're joined by special guest KT Shanafelt to talk about tyhe challenges and rewards of building a strong koi club and, more importantly, a strong koi community. We dig into what successful clubs do differently, how to keep memebers engaged, bringing new hobbyists into the fold, organizing events, navigating different personalities, and why local koi clubs still matter to the future of the hobby.Wheather you're already part of a koi club, thinking about joining one, or trying to breathe some new life into a local organization, there's plenty to take away from this weeks conversation.

When the intros are forgotten, the pond breaks, and the fish still survive… you know it’s a good episode. 😅🐟In this one, we’re talking koi chaos, filter disasters, “ugly” fish that still steal the show, and why the weird ones are often the most memorable. If you love koi, pond stories, or just a podcast that occasionally turns into complete nonsense, this one’s for you.🎤 Listen on Spotify and Apple Podcasts:Spotify – https://open.spotify.com/show/2Tc64mjKS8BJVWT55wtMLdApple Podcasts – https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/koi-keepers-anonymous/id1846492181🎙️ About the Show:We're a group of friends — experts and hobbyists — who are all passionate about koi keeping:Devin and Mikki own Demi Koi in Los Angeles, CA. Our very first episode filmed in the same room! We had a very special (and fun!) weekend at the 50th Anniversary of the ZNA Southern California Koi Show. This episode was a lot of fun to film. Ty should move out to Los Angeles.
