Jesus came to set man free from sin, and scripture tells us that sin is the breaking of the law. So, if we are to be truly set free from sin, we need to also be set free from the law. One of the most incredible gifts that God has given to man is the free gift of righteousness by faith. We can’t buy it, work for it, offer anything for it, or anything else. It is a free gift from God for all who believe. We need this gift from God for every aspect of our walk with Christ. It is necessary every minute of every day to receive and hold fast to this free gift of righteousness by faith. In this episode we will look at WHY we need this gift.

Repentance is fundamentally about change. It is about changing how we think and therefore how we behave, because all behaviour begins with a thought. Repentance is the first step to forgiveness. But when we come to Christ and learn the truth of this life, we find that those who have sinned are the ones who need to repent. And that means everyone. It is one thing to know what repentance is, but why should we repent? Why repent? The fundamental reason for repenting is to find a way to live in God's love. So too, a Christian must have a solid foundation if they are to stand against the raging storms and fires of this life. The only foundation there is that will enable a person to stand strong, is the foundation of Jesus Christ. When we learn and grow in His words, we will stand strong.
