You can be searching for meaning everywhere—in religion, in politics, in service—and still feel utterly broken inside. What if that deep emptiness is the one thing blocking your healing from PTSD and anxiety? Justin McLane shares a powerful story of radical transformation. Raised in an anti-Christian home, Justin spent nearly 28 years actively practicing paganism... in an attempt to fill a persistent void and overcome a deep feeling of emptiness. As a U.S. Army Combat veteran, Justin recounts how his internal battles with PTSD, depression, and anxiety mirrored his external search for meaning. His journey to faith began when he made a conscious decision to quest: Was it truly possible that God existed? As his honest quest led him to a personal relationship with God, his mindset changed, and his mental health followed: the PTSD, depression, and anxiety all melted away. However, his conversion created new divisions: both his parents and other relatives stopped speaking to him... Justin uses his experience to address why we stop communicating with people we disagree with and shares the crucial need to keep the lines of dialogue open. Now a full-time pastor, Justin proves that you can anchor yourself in faith and truly unleash your potential. In this episode, he shares how it felt to have the absence of God in our life. He also gives us the exact practical, actionable strategies that will bring small - but fundamental - changes in our life. With consistency, those steps into a new realm help us to develop a personal relationship with God and to find freedom from the internal and external conflicts that divide us.   Topic covered: how to fill a void in life, why do i feel empty inside, lost spiritual meaning, spiritual awakening, searching for purpose, conversion from paganism to christianity, ex pagan finds God, starting a relationship with God, Christian healing ptsd, faith over depression and anxiety, military veteran ptsd faith, how to talk to family about faith, religious family conflict, Justin mclane pagan to pastor.   🙏🏼 Thank you for investing your valuable time with us today. If you have been deeply hurt in some way, you know how difficult it is to forgive and move on. You might feel uncertain on what the future holds for you. Today, Helen Glanville shares with us a powerful, deeply personal story of love, loss, and public judgment that led her to a profound truth: faith is the only anchor in uncertainty. Helen faced intense scrutiny after falling in love with a lawyer involved in one of Australia's most publicized white-collar crimes. She discovered that her survival—and healing—depended on the radical choice to forgive. Helen found peace in prayer, learned to trust God's timing, and witnessed how grace can transform even the hardest circumstances. We discuss why forgiveness is an act of spiritual courage that offers immediate physical benefits. Did you know that chronic anger and bitterness elevate stress hormones and contribute to long-term health issues? Forgiveness is indeed key to restoring internal peace. Learn how Helen turned her hardest circumstances into a life of service, co-founding Second Chances SA—a charity helping the families of prisoners. Her journey proves that when life breaks you open, letting that space become service brings the greatest healing, redeeming both purpose and identity. Topics covered: forgiveness, healing, prisoners families, faith, anchor, service, Gods timing, second chances Find Helen here: https://helenglanville.com/ Video link: https://youtu.be/WxrQ84O7CnY   Go Deeper on the Science of Bipolar Disorder: You might be interested in exploring forgiveness for cases when the crime is committed by a person suffering from serious mental illness which causes violent behaviour.  The groundbreaking work of Dr. William Walsh, a leader in nutritional psychiatry, might prove to be an interesting dive in this field. His research, which started by studying the biology of violent behavior, reveals that Bipolar Disorder is likely a "channelopathy"—a condition caused by vulnerable ion channel and DNA repair genes. This discovery explains the mystery of mood switching and points to specific, nutrient-based treatments. For a full breakdown of the genetic, chemical, and nutritional factors at the root of conditions like Bipolar Disorder and criminal behavior, learn more about Dr. Walsh's book, The Essence of Bipolar Disorder. https://amzn.to/3WplER3 (Please note that this is an affiliate link and I do receive a tiny compensation if a book is purchased through it)   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ppeSv22A9A&t=4114s   If you do not wish to click on the links: Dr. Walsh's key discovery is that Bipolar Disorder, which has long baffled researchers, appears to be a "channelopathy." The Cause: Bipolar Disorder is viewed as a vulnerability rooted in specific ion channel genes (which regulate neurotransmission) and DNA repair genes. The Mechanism: This genetic weakness makes individuals highly vulnerable to oxidative assault (chemical damage). The resulting malfunction in ion channels explains the classic, rapid "switching" between mood states (from normal to mania to depression). Wider Impact: Weak DNA repair genes not only contribute to mood disorders but also accelerate aging and can lower life expectancy, connecting mental and physical health in a profound way. Dr. Walsh's work, which began by studying the biology behind violent and criminal behavior, shifts the focus from purely psychological causes to identifiable, treatable biotypes—paving the way for highly individualized nutrient protocols for treatment and prevention.   This scientific perspective changes our mindset when we have a spiritual discussion about forgiveness: Forgiveness and Understanding: When dealing with criminals or those who cause life-long damage, it's vital to remember that some actions may be driven by biological vulnerabilities (like a channelopathy) that strip them of the capacity for typical decision-making. Understanding the biological cause can lead to compassion and informed public policy, even if personal forgiveness remains a long journey and a personal decision. Forgiveness and Health: The same oxidative stress that contributes to bipolar disorder is often exacerbated by chronic psychological stress, proving that faith practices like forgiveness are a form of biochemical self-care.   🚀 The path to Your brilliant future starts here. The Christmas season is meant to be a time of peace and joy, but for many, it's a season of stress, conflict, and heartache. Are you worried about an impending divorce, family disputes, blended family friction, or the strain of unemployment, depression, or abuse? You are not alone. In this special holiday episode, I discuss this rather prickly issue with Clive Twain, an offshore helicopter captain in the UK. A lifetime friend, committed Christian, and author of the highly-praised book, Grace for Grace, Clive lives in the UK with his wife and daughters. Over an hour or so, he shares powerful, practical principles drawn directly from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ—the very reason we gather—to help you navigate the toughest holiday situations. We will share: ❤️ How to find the inner peace you crave when faced with revived family conflict. ❤️Learning to see things from others' perspectives by looking at the early life of Jesus. ❤️ What Jesus taught about loving our "enemies" and those who consistently cause us harm. ❤️ Setting healthy boundaries: When you have every right to stop being around those who are abusive. ❤️ The role of temperance and patience in diffusing conflict, and how they relate to the core message of Clive's book. Using scriptures like Romans 12:17-21 and Moroni 7:47-48, Clive provides three essential principles to help you experience genuine peace amidst the chaos. Whether you are a new or seasoned Christian, this conversation will offer you the light and guidance needed to make this Christmas season one of true rest and spiritual growth.     📘 Clive is the author of the book 'Grace for Grace' this is the first of two books; the second will be released in 2026. Do you believe peace is possible when chaos is everywhere? Are you caught in the exhaustion of trying to control everything, leading to spiritual drift and burnout? In this episode, we reveal that peace is not a reward; it is a spiritual choice that results in stability.  I had a chat with Rev. Dr. A'Shellarien Addison, the first woman Chaplain in the 240-year history of the Delaware Army National Guard, a spiritual clinical trauma-informed practitioner, and author. Dr. Addison shares her personal journey of nearly losing her peace while juggling high-pressure leadership and family life. She identifies the universal test: the constant pressure to be "productive" instead of purposeful.  She reveals the transformative, God-given three-step strategy she uses to navigate crisis with clarity: Pause, Pray, Plan. This framework is a simple, actionable path to moving from reactive decisions to divine direction. Learn how spiritual disciplines like the PAUSE and PRAYER literally rewire your brain for resilience and peace, helping you become a source of clarity and strength for others. Dr. Addison breaks down the neuroscience of faith and provides the practical tools you need. In this episode, you will go deeper into her simple 3-step method to: PAUSE: Create sacred space to think about what you are thinking about. PRAY: Move from panic to prayer as your first, not last, response. PLAN: Act with God's wisdom rather than human desperation. Your choice today is simple: panic is reaction undirected; pause is purpose directed. Choose the pause. Your true peace is waiting on the other side of intentional surrender.  Be sure to check out Dr Addison's book: Unbothered On Purpose: Pause, Pray, Plan.  Here is an affiliate link: https://amzn.to/4qHKr0t (I do receive a small percentage if you buy from my exact  link)   Topics covered: Pause Pray Plan, Finding True Peace, Spiritual Practices to Rewire Brain, Faith-Based Mental Health, Overcoming Burnout, Living Purposefully, Spiritual Discipline, Rev Dr A'Shellarien Addison, Christian Leadership, Anxiety and Chaos, overcome burnout, overcome perfectionism.   🚀 The path to your brilliant future starts here Thank you for investing your valuable time with us today. I am excited to share with you my conversation with Melody Morton, a movement specialist specialized in Pilates, who found a path from loss to purpose. How? Like many of you, Melody discovered "The Fingerprint of God" in the world around her. In our chat, she shares her deeply personal story of navigating divorce and the near-collapse of her business during the pandemic. In that season of ruin, she reached for a faith she hadn't grown up with—and in return, she found her anchor. My hope is that you can find it too. Beyond her own powerful testimony, Melody explains how science, physics, and mathematics all point to a divine design. Everything from the spirals of a sunflower to the helical coils of our own DNA, to the golden ratio found in galaxies and the human body reflects this design. Through this powerful conversation, you will learn how to use your body as a temple, integrating scripture, neuroscience, and movement to heal from trauma and align your life with God's intentional design. You will leave with a renewed sense of purpose, understanding that faith and science are not enemies, but two languages God uses to speak to us. And if you go check the links below you can discover how Melody is using all this to help you. She offers a 4-week Pilates and somatic recalibration workbook to help you rewire trauma loops, regulate your nervous system, and reconnect to your core self. Originally created for women recovering from narcissistic abuse, this program works for anyone ready to identify emotional patterns and shift them through daily Pilates, movement, sound, color, fascia release, and journaling. This isn't mindset work — it's somatic rewiring through the body. Topics covered: Christian entrepreneurship, resilience, faith and science, God's divine design, healing from trauma, finding purpose, Fibonacci sequence, Golden Ratio, Melody Morton, somatic healing, scripture and science, biblical principles, spiritual growth, finding God, pilates, recovery from trauma, somatic work.   Want to dive deeper? "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." — 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 God's unique signature is visible everywhere through the Fibonacci sequence and the Golden Ratio (phi, φ). These mathematical patterns aren't just abstract ideas; they are the fundamental building blocks of nature. From the perfect spirals of a pinecone and the elegant arrangement of sunflower seeds to the coiled shape of a galaxy and the intricate structure of the human ear, this same divine proportion appears with remarkable consistency. This undeniable order and precision, found across all of creation, serves as a powerful testament that the universe was not a product of chaos, but was instead designed with purpose and intentional beauty. This same divine proportion is woven into the very fabric of our bodies, appearing in the helical coils of our collagen, the spirals of our fascia, our cardiac fibers, and the intricate micro-architecture of our bones. Through the helical coils of the Pilates reformer springs, our bodies' natural spirals are retrained and realigned, allowing us to be shaped like "clay in God's hands" according to a lawful, divine pattern.4. Water, Fascia & Memory The body's intricate design reveals its responsive nature, particularly through its water. As Viktor Schauberger observed that water naturally moves in life-giving spirals, Thomas Myers' work shows that our fascia—a water-rich network throughout the body—transmits force and even stores emotion. This living blueprint can be rewritten through breath and movement, a concept echoed by Dr. Masaru Emoto's research that demonstrated how water's structure can be influenced by our very intentions. Together, these ideas paint a picture of a body intentionally designed to be a living, responsive canvas. Scientist & Mathematician Quotes  Galileo (attributed): "Mathematics is the language in which God has written the universe." Johannes Kepler: "Geometry is one and eternal… it reflects the thoughts of God." Nikola Tesla: "If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration."   Did you enjoy this episode and would like to share some love? 💜 Hit that like button and subscribe! 👫 Share the episode with a friend. 🎧 Listen or watch all the way through. 🙋‍♀️ Add a comment, suggestion or question! ✅ Leave a review on iTunes, Listen Notes, Amazon, Spotify – your thoughts matter! ✅ Sponsor an episode! 👍 Your likes, shares, and reviews are helping this show grow!  🙏 Thank you for being an amazing supporter! 🫶💜   Disclaimer: The information shared in this podcast is for informational purposes only and is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
