The Seattle Seahawks are now two-time Super Bowl Champions and it still feels surreal. We're continuing the celebration with a full walkthrough of the win over New England and a preview of some of the major offseason topics. Seattle set the tone early, flipped field position through elite special teams, and leaned on a dominant defense that consistently harassed Drake Maye. Kenneth Walker kicked off his campaign for MVP early and the offensive line established their physicality on the first play of the game. Some outstanding plays by the Patriots defense kept Seattle out of the end zone in the first half, but Jason Myers was still able to help build a two-score cushion going into the half. The defense continued to overwhelm New England in the third quarter and held them scoreless. The contributions throughout the game included sacks by Devon Witherspoon, Byron Murphy, Derick Hall and rookie Rylie Mills. As Maye continued to get rattled, it led to key turnovers. Julian Love called his own interception as we saw in the mid'd up version of the Super Bowl. Byron Murphy recovered a fumble that led to the Seahawks only offensive touchdown by AJ Barner, and a Witherspoon pressure gave Uchenna Nwosu a score to match the Seahawks offensive touchdown output. We tackle the debate around Sam Darnold's performance—praised for poise against pressure and also criticized for a missed end-zone throw and a completion percentage that was among his lowest of the season. Offseason questions emerge along the way. How does Seattle sustain a title run? How should they handle some key free agents like Josh Jobe and Tariq Woolen? Do they need to approaches their big-money extensions for JSN and Witherspoon before making some of the more difficult decisions. Coaching and organizational themes surface too, from Mike McDonald's game planning and halftime adjustments to the team's continuity of culture. The episode closes with shout-outs to our members of the flock, listener emails, parade moments, and a nod to Jody Allen as the steady hand atop a championship organization. Our Seattle Seahawks are Super Bowl Champions once again! The defense was on point from the start of this game as the New England Patriots struggled to move the chains throughout the first half. The defensive line dominated with six sacks and Drake Maye was pressured into two interceptions. Uchenna Nwosu returned one of those two interceptions for a touchdown that looked like it would seal the victory for Seattle. On the offensive side, Kenneth Walker delivered a performance worthy of his Super Bowl MVP honor. He set the tone with a run to the outside to start the game and added in some explosive plays throughout. Jason Meyers was perfect on his kicks and Michael Dickson had some of his best punts of the season to pin the Patriots deep. It was an incredible team performance that capped off a special season for Seattle. Join our Sea Hawkers Podcast Pickem League - free prizes for weekly winners. Support the show Get in the Flock! The Seattle Seahawks enter Super Bowl Sunday as heavy favorites against the New England Patriots, and the confidence level among the 12s is high. The Patriots path to victory appears razor-thin, relying heavily on Drake Maye's mobility, hopes for multiple Seattle turnovers, and the chance that Jaxon Smith-Njigba can somehow be stopped by this New England defense that has only faced two of the league's best wideouts this season. The Pats offensive line faces a nightmare matchup against Seattle's defensive front led by Leo Williams and DeMarcus Lawrence. The Patriots postseason run—featuring wins over injury-depleted teams and bottom-tier offensive lines—pales in comparison to Seattle's gauntlet through the NFC West. Nick Emmanwori sustained an ankle injury this week, which does provide some concern for the defense. But we've seen how capable the depth of this defense was in dealing with Emmanwori's absense earlier in the season as well as the injury to Julian Love. Mike Macdonald should be able to plan around any limitations by the rookie defender. In an episode earlier this week, we enjoyed a guest with thoughful football analysis. In this show, we're getting into 'Know Your Rival' mode with one of the Patriots bitter rivals. Dolphins fan Sam Marcoux is back on the show to talk about everything we need to know about the Pats and their entitled fanbase.  Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak's impending departure to the Raiders has loomed over the leadup to this game. What potential impact could it actually have in this matchup? The NFL Honors ceremony was happening as we recorded and Jaxon Smith-Njigba was the only one to be awarded one of the top honors -- offensive player of the year. We discuss some of the wildest narratives and idiotic lines of questions in the Do Better Segment. Better at life honors go out to a group of monks and their walk for peace as well as the NFL for sending our NFC West rivals into a dangerous country to start the 2026 season. We dive into six unique topics covering: Dangerous Patriots, How to stop sustained Patriots drives, Who on the Seahawks line of scrimmage needs to win, Drake or Sam - who outshines who, Keys to getting and preventing explosives, and lastly key metrics that will tip the hand in favor of the champion. The Super Bowl matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots has a chance to be a defensive slugfest or a passing shootout -- depending on how these teams approach it. Bootleg Football's EJ Snyder breaks down Drake Maye's rise in year two, comparing his production and elusiveness to a rival quarterback. The Patriots' offensive line remains a question mark, particularly on the left side where rookie Will Campbell is battling through a knee injury. The marquee individual battle features Jaxon Smith-Njigba going up against Christian Gonzalez's coverage, a clash of top-tier talents that could determine the game's outcome. Despite the Patriots impressive turnaround under Mike Vrabel, the Seahawks defense is peaking at the perfect time, and Sam Darnold's statement performance should prove he's ready for the moment.  Join our Sea Hawkers Podcast Pickem League - free prizes for weekly winners. The Seattle Seahawks are heading to the Super Bowl after a 31-27 victory over the Los Angeles Rams at Lumen Field. Sam Darnold came up big when it mattered most, connecting with Jaxon Smith-Njigba for touchdown before halftime after taking a crushing hit. Kenneth Walker III punched in the opening score, and the offense executed a masterful five-minute drive that helped close out the game. The defense came up big on a critical fourth-and-four stop, with Julian Love and DeMarcus Lawrence dropping into coverage to stuff the Rams attempt—a play Sean McVay dismissed as "luck" in his post-game comments. Riq Woolen's costly taunting penalty on third down helped give the Rams an opening, leading to an immediate Puka Nacua touchdown. Cooper Kupp proved instrumental in the Seahawks' success, making key third-down conversions against his former team after the Rams organization reportedly urged other teams to lowball him in free agency (which we later cover in the Do Better segment). In the second half of the show, we look ahead to Super Bowl matchup against the New England Patriots. The Seahawks face a Drake Maye-led offense that excels under pressure but lacks some of the firepower of previous opponents. The franchise has a chance to exorcise demons from Super Bowl XLIX and claim the Lombardi Trophy on the 49ers' home turf in Santa Clara, completing one of the most unexpected and satisfying seasons in recent memory.  Join our Sea Hawkers Podcast Pickem League - free prizes for weekly winners. The Seattle Seahawks punched their ticket to Super Bowl 60 with a 31-27 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship. We're breaking down the critical moments that swung the game. Kenneth Walker's bruising second-quarter run set the physical tone early. Maybe the turning point in the game came when rookie Nick Emmanwori delivered back-to-back pass breakups and forced a Rams punt. That helped to give Sam Darnold just enough time to march downfield and take a 17-13 halftime lead. Darnold's performance included a no-look pass to Jaxon Smith-Njigba—the kind of throw typically reserved for Patrick Mahomes and Matthew Stafford. JSN's one-handed grab, a first-half reception through contact, and a deep catch to set up a touchdown, showcased why the Sam-to-JSN connection has become one of the league's most dangerous. We go through those moments, plus the favorite plays of the game from our flock. Join our Sea Hawkers Podcast Pickem League - free prizes for weekly winners. Support the show Get in the Flock! The Seattle Seahawks beat the Niners to win the division, then the beat them again in the divisional round to go to the NFC Championship -- and now the beat the rival Los Angeles Rams to go to the Super Bowl! The defense got a late fourth down stop and the offense helped to nearly close the game before turning it back to the defense for the final couple of plays. Sam Darnold had an incredible performance that should close out any discussion of how he can operate in the biggest moments. Next up the New England Patriots!! The Seattle Seahawks dominated the San Francisco 49ers from start to finish. From the first play kick return touchdown by Rashid Shaheed to the relentless dominance by the Seahawks' defense, every moment of this game showcased why Seattle is a Super Bowl contender. We discuss how the defense, led by performances from Leonard Williams and DeMarcus Lawrence, shut down San Francisco, holding them to just nine total points over two games. The Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers are back at it again -- now in the divisional round. Niners fans are somehow confident again, despite a narrow win over the Eagles. Is it because they think Kyle Shanahan rediscovered his good playbook? Or is it because they think Sam Darnold has already lost this game due to a minor injury? Maybe they've already forgotten they've been blaming an electromagnetic substation for team injuries. We take a look at the matchups on both sides and what has changed since Week 18. Trent Williams was back in the lineup against the Eagles, but the Niners lost their future HOF tight end in the process. Eric Kendricks was a major part of their defense in the last win, but can Fred Warner fire up the team by simply returning to practice? Wrapping up the show this week, we talk about Leo Williams request from the fans in the stands and the extra effort that can go into helping out the Seahawks defense.  Join our Sea Hawkers Podcast Pickem League - free prizes for weekly winners.
