As we look ahead to the Seahawks upcoming game against the Atlanta Falcons, we discuss what it will take to secure that crucial 10-3 record. The Falcons are struggling in key areas like pass pro and run defense, so what can the Seahawks do to make sure those struggles continue? With the Falcons leaning heavily into their running game, that may be an area where our Seahawks can exploit them. Later in the episode, we rank which aspects of each team stand the most chance of getting hot and why our defensive and offensive lines are poised to shine. Plus, our flockers chime in with their game wishes and predictions. We cap things off by setting expectations for individual player performances, hoping to see a return to form for Sam Darnold and a potential big game for Kenneth Walker. Did the Minnesota Vikings find a way to solve the NFL's Jaxon Smith-Njigba problem? Or were there a combination of factors that simply kept the ball from going JSN's way. We talk about some of the strategies Minnesota used -- from pressuring Sam to their use of linebacker and safety to send some extra attention toward the NFL's leading receiver. Ernest Jones earned NFL honors for his game on Saturday, but DeMarcus Lawrence should have been in consideration for two of the biggest plays of the game. The Atlanta Falcons are on deck for Seattle and may be the last "easy" game on the schedule. But should we ignore the fact they've either won or played their last four losses close? Bijan Robinson could pose a challenge for the Seahawks defense, but is there anyone else on the Falcons offense to be concerned with? Sam Darnold may have another week where he'll be challenged against the blitz, but we could also see more success on the ground than we saw against Minnesota. Seattle could continue to lean into the run game and protect the football. In the second half of the show, we take a look at aggregate power rankings for all NFL teams and the Seahawks find themselves in the top 5 across most of the rankings. We take a look at some of the other teams and which one could be best to challenge the Rams (apart from Seattle). The NFL Hall of Fame selection committee needs to do better and so does society (apparently). Better at life honors go to an NBA coach for having the back of some arena staff members and to one state's wildlife conservation commission for their fight against invasive snakes. We've promised for years that when the Seahawks get a shutout, we're focusing only on the INs and passing up the OUTs. While this game certainly had its negatives, we fulfill a promise with Seattle's first shutout since 2015. Standout moments from Drake Thomas are among the highlights as he continues to shine on defense. Kenneth Walker III takes a soul and gets some highlight-worthy blocking. The team chemistry and defensive prowess were on full display, making this shutout win a significant one. Finally, we take a look at DeMarcus Lawrence's relentless hustle led to two incredible plays, including one that Coach Mike Macdonald deemed to be one of his all-time favorites. Max Brosmer never stood a chance. The Seattle Seahawks dominated in a 26-0 shutout victory over the Minnesota Vikings. We dive into the incredible defensive performance, highlighting standout plays from DeMarcus Lawrence, Ernest Jones, and a defensive line that overwhelmed Minnesota's offense. Offensively, the Seahawks did enough to complement the defense, with Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet grinding out yards against an aggressive Vikings front. While not impressive, Sam Darnold put together the kind of performance we wished we could have seen against the Rams a couple weeks ago. The Seahawks close out November tied at the top of the division with Los Angeles as their re-match looms on the horizon.
The Seahawks kick off against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. We take a look at the latest news as Quandre Diggs is called up from the practice squad along with Velus Jones and Myles Gaskin. Our poll question this week centers around how many sacks the defense could get against the Vikings rookie quarterback. Majority of fans took the 5+ route, and we discuss why 3-4 is the more likely option to see. Stick around for the top bets of the week as Clinton and Adam strategize around who could see an increase in targets if the Vikings continue to go heavy on the blitz on defense. With the playoffs in sight, the Seattle Seahawks look to continue their streak of only losing one game per month if they can finish strong against the Minnesota Vikings. The return of Quandre Diggs brings a familiar spark to the defense, while we wait to see if Ty Okada will be back in the lineup on Sunday. Minnesota is rolling out an undrafted rookie quarterback with J.J. McCarthy in concussion protocol. Will they continue to stick to a pass-heavy game plan that hasn't delivered for them this season? The run game—or lack thereof—stands out as a key factor, and Seattle's ability to put pressure on a young quarterback could turn this into a lopsided game. Will Sam Darnold see this as a big game considering his history in Minnesota? Or will we see a calm Darnold who should be able to tear apart the Vikings secondary? In the second half of the show we discuss how the old "chain gang" appears to be missing for the 2025 NFL season. We've rarely seen the virtual measurement, let along the classic physical measurement. Are we just to the point where we'll trust the officials on the field to spot the ball? As we head into the shopping season, we discuss some disappointing trends that we were both faced with this past week. Better at Life honors go out to all the 12s who made the trip to Nashville.  Join our Sea Hawkers Podcast Pickem League - free prizes for weekly winners. Support the show Get in the Flock! Can the Seahawks save a little room to feast on a young Vikings QB? We may have to wait to see which one, as J.J. McCarthy is in concussion protocol and we could end up seeing Max Brosmer under center. We work through a Thanksgiving-themed game, drawing parallels between the top dishes and pressing football questions related to our Seahawks. Will the Hawks overcome some frustrations we've discussed on offense? What are their chances against a struggling Vikings team? We close the show with our game predictions and a roundup of wishes from the Flock. Join our Sea Hawkers Podcast Pickem League - free prizes for weekly winners. Support the show Get in the Flock! We've got the INs and OUTs from the latest Seahawks victory in Nashville -- although the format is a bit different than usual. One of the things Seattle fans wanted to see was a clean sheet from Sam Darnold. Did we actually get there? From Rashid Shaheed's punt return game to Devon Witherspoon's presence on the field, we discuss some of our favorite moments from Sunday's game. Tariq Woolen gets some special recognition for his tackling as Derrick Hall and Drake Thomas were relentless on the defensive side of the ball.  Join our Sea Hawkers Podcast Pickem League - free prizes for weekly winners. The Seahawks coasted to victory over the Tennessee Titans in Nashville, getting the 30-24 win off another standout performance by Jaxon Smith-Njigba. With six games remaining in the season, JSN has already set a franchise record with 1,313 receiving yards. His two touchdowns helped keep Seattle out ahead of the Titans and in control of the game all afternoon. Ken Walker provided another significant contribution with more than 100 yards of offense and some explosive plays in both the passing and run game. The defense tallied four sacks as Cam Ward was under significant pressure and they managed to help keep the Titans in the game through his resilience and some impressive throws. Join us from Nashville as we discuss Seahawks news, injuries, and upcoming matchups. We kick things off with a special meetup announcement for local Seahawks fans in Nashville ahead of the game against the Titans. We then dive into some injury updates for Tory Horton, Tyrice Knight, and Ernest Jones, and how these absences could impact the game. With the Titans also dealing with injuries, especially in their wide receiver corps, we discuss the potential lineup changes and what to expect from quarterback Cam Ward. In the second half of the show, we'll shift focus to our Blue Friday bets, exploring prop bets, parlays, and predictions for the game. The Seattle Seahawks latest clash with the Los Angeles Rams left fans reeling after a brutal four-interception performance. What separates good QBs from great ones, and why some fans are losing patience while others still see hope for a turnaround. Expectations, turnovers, and the pressure of big moments all come under the microscope. So what exactly is Darnold's record in "big games" and how does it compare with "big moments"? Is there a difference? We also highlight some big time stats that Jaxon Smith-Njigba is putting up on the offensive side and how Devon Witherspoon has been locking down the perimeter on defense.  Looking ahead, the focus shifts to the upcoming matchup against the Titans and what the Seahawks need to do to get back on track. In the second half of the show we discuss some remaining notes from the game. We close the show with calls to Do Better with regard to quarterback rankings and a ridiculous law in London. Better at Life honors go out to a pair of Seahawks players for their postgame commentary on the podium following the loss to the Rams. After a narrow loss to the Rams, a mental shift needed to focus on the upcoming game against the Tennessee Titans. Considering the way the season is going for the Titans, the expectation is that we'll have a prime opportunity to see Seattle bounce back. Should Seattle focus on the running game or open up the passing attack this week? Defensively, we get into the reasons why our edge rushers and linebackers can dominate versus the Titans offense. We also discuss how expectations to win against a struggling team will cast a shadow on this matchup. Can they get back to playing at that high level prior to facing their division rival. In a game of inches, we ended up a few yards short and to the right. In a frustrating loss where Sam Darnold must take most of the blame, there were other moments and aspects, good and bad, that added to this tough loss to our largest rivals, the Rams. There were some good points to focus on, too. Defensive efforts come under the spotlight, notably the exceptional play from Tariq Woolen, a crucial tackle for loss by Boye Mafe, as well as the importance of second-half adjustments. Some surprising stats jumped out as we dug into the box score, too. While it felt like most of the pressure came from the right side, two-thirds of the pressure actually came from the left. Plus, there was one play by the guards and led to Ken Walker getting absolutely blown up in the backfield. Tune in for some of the good moments, as we sprinkle in some of the bad moments that you'd expect out of this game. Join our Sea Hawkers Podcast Pickem League - free prizes for weekly winners. The Seahawks had a masterful performance on defense to keep the game within reach in the final seconds of the game. Ultimately, the loss to the Los Angeles Rams comes down to critical mistakes and costly turnovers by Sam Darnold. However, he did bounce back from his four interceptions to give Jason Meyers a shot even after the offense was pinned at the 1-yard line by the Rams special teams unit. The offense also suffered a major injury in the final moments of the game that is likely going to test the depth of the offensive line and put further stress on Darnold down the stretch. With a substitute "protector" this week, we're exploring every angle for our Seahawks to secure victory this Sunday in what people are calling the DVOA Bowl. The LA Rams lead the NFL in DVOA with the Seahawks right behind them. Can Seattle pressure Matt Stafford to tilt the game in favor of the Seahawks? Ernest Jones and Cooper Kupp are captains and have a shot at vengeance, so we share our predictions in how they'll perform. From the offensive line's effectiveness in pass protection to how that can open up the passing game for Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, we're looking ahead to what could be the biggest game of the year. We're still flying high after another dominant Seahawks victory over the Arizona Cardinals. It's not just the win -- but how they were able to do it. Tyrice Knight, Ty Okada, Nehemiah Pritchett and Drake Thomas weren't guys we were expecting big contributions from at the beginning of the season, and now they're a big reason to be excited about the defense. With the Rams game coming up on Sunday, it will be the biggest test yet for the Seahawks. Ernest Jones and Cooper Kupp get to face off against their former team, but it may also be a revenge game for Sam Darnold based on how last season went for our quarterback. A lot has been made this week about how the Rams are using "heavy" personnel packages with their tight ends. Is it even that big of a deal? In the second half of the show we talk about a fictional offseason trade scenario between the Seahawks and Browns and one major reason why Myles Garrett shouldn't be a coveted trade candidate. Maintaining appliances and a new term showing up in sports are discussed in the Do Better segment. Lastly, stick around to find out why the Arizona Cardinals and a key part of the Earth's atmosphere are "Better at Life." Join our Sea Hawkers Podcast Pickem League - free prizes for weekly winners. Gray Zabel was moving mountains in the run game, Abe Lucas sealed off a pair of defenders on the Seahawks first rushing touchdown and we talk about Olu Oluwatimi's performance filling in with Jalen Sundell's injury. The Seahawks dominated the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday on their way to a 44-22 victory. Seattle put up 31 points in the first half, and despite giving the Cardinals multiple short fields off of turnovers -- they were still able to run away with it.  Tyrice Knight and DeMarcus Lawrence paired up for a couple of defensive sack fumble touchdowns. Nick Emmanwori and Tariq Woolen paired up for multiple pass breakups. Leo Williams and the rest of the gang had their way with a tepid Cardinals team! The Seahawks move to 7-2 on the season and will spend the week gearing up for a big time matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. Seahawks fans got some rough injury news this week as Jarran Reed went to IR even after a week of practicing fully. Details are limited as to what may have caused the move on Saturday. Reed joins several other Seahawks players who will be out vs the Cardinals, who have several injuries of their own. But considering the Seahawks are coming off a dominant victory over the Commanders and have an upcoming matchup with the Rams -- does this put this week into a trap game scenario? We close the show with this week's Blue Friday Bets and talk about whether the guys are leaning to far toward the potential of an improved rushing attack.
