I know this is a rerun but it’s even more relevant, I think, today than it was, at the time of the recording. Especially with the delta variant out. For anyone that thinks the pandemic is not serious, my whole household - my boyfriend of 10 years, my daughter, step-daughter and myself, all contracted COVID. The kids both got over it pretty quickly but I ended up in the hospital with double pneumonia, and my boyfriend ended up in the ICU. He passed away 3 weeks ago. Please, everyone… I encourage you to take this seriously! I wish I had taken it more seriously and now my life has been completely uprooted (it’s just my daughter and me know - my stepdaughter moved in with her mother full time). I’ll live with the regret of underestimating the seriousness of COVID for the rest of my life. If you think this is something that’s over-dramatized by the government/politics (which was our stance), think about the worst case scenario, and how you’d might feel, know you could have done more but did

I love that question. How many good ideas have I had that I never acted on because all the things seemed so overwhelming that I never even got started? Asking myself this question could rid myself of all that drama and help me figure out how to simple start - with simple 😄

Wow! "Resistance" - a new label/description instead of "chasing squirrels" for my ADHD brain! AND a new way to use the "take a deep focusing breath technique" to help mitigate! Considering "distractions" as "resistance" looks at the challenge from a slightly different perspective. But it does bring up the question:"resistance to WHAT?" When is it helpful to take the time to try to ID the "WHAT" to possibly lessen the amount of squirrel chasing/resistance? 🤔

Hi Cory your podcast hits the spot. I'm already hooked & anticipating each days content. I'm going to start journaling my thoughts on my current state relating to your topics in order to record a baseline to look back to in 1, 3, 6, 9+ months. Excited to see my growth. Maybe next time when you verbally list resources where someone may want to take a note slow the pace down.
