Send a text In Joshua 24 we see the end of a life well lived. Joshua begins by reminding the nation of how the Lord has always gone before them. He then transitions to a strong charge to get them to lead their home well, to choose this day and everyday who they will serve. The problem is the people believe that saying the right things are more important than actually doing the right thing. Send us Fan Mail In Joshua 23, we begin to wind down the life of Joshua. It is clear that he is old and advanced in years. Joshua gives the leaders clear instructions on how they should live, and a warning about what happens if they throw off restraint and live like the nations around them. Send us Fan Mail In Joshua 22, the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh finally head home. After years of fighting faithfully alongside their brothers, they return to the east side of the Jordan. But before they cross over completely, they build an altar—an altar that almost sparks a civil war. What looked like rebellion was actually a desire for remembrance. What felt like division was really a plea for unity. In this episode of The Pursuit of Manliness, we unpack the tensio...
Send us Fan Mail In this episode of The Pursuit of Manliness, we walk through Joshua 14–21 and confront a reality every man knows: waiting can be very difficult. The land had been promised. The battles had been fought. But now came the slow work of allotment, boundaries, and settling in. For some, the promise felt delayed. For others, it may have felt overlooked. Yet in the waiting, God was still working. In this episode we look at: Caleb’s unwavering faith — decades after the promise was ...
Send us Fan Mail In Mark 11 we see Jesus showing His displeasure of what has become His temple and what it was doing to those who were to benefit from it. Many times as men we appreciate the emotion that we see from Jesus. However when we step back and consider how we are bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, (1 Corinthians 3:16) we must consider how Jesus views the way we are taking care of our temple. Send us Fan Mail In Joshua 13, we read the sobering words: “Joshua was old and advanced in years…” (Joshua 13:1). The battles have been many. The victories significant. The scars real. Yet the Lord tells him, “There remains yet very much land to possess.” In this episode of The Pursuit of Manliness, we issue a clear charge to older men: Do not disengage. Do not coast. Do not check out. Our culture tells seasoned men to slow down, sit back, and let someone else carry the weight. But Scripture ...
Send us Fan Mail In this episode of The Pursuit of Manliness, I sit down with J. Josh Smith, author of The Man for the Day, for a powerful conversation about biblical masculinity, intentional discipleship, and becoming the man God is calling you to be right now. We talk about what it means to be the man for the day in your home, your church, and your community. Not yesterday’s man. Not tomorrow’s man. But the faithful, present, obedient man God requires today. In this conversation, we cover: ...

Send us Fan Mail In this episode of The Pursuit of Manliness podcast, we unpack what it means to lead your life one decision at a time. Joshua didn’t conquer the land through reputation; he did it through faithfulness. He showed up and he obeyed. He trusted God’s promises even when the opposition was intimidating. As men, we often want the big breakthrough and the instant transformation. But Joshua 11 reminds us that lasting victory is built on small, faithful choices stacke...
Send us Fan Mail Joshua 10 reminds us that obedience doesn’t end when the agreement is made—it’s proven when pressure comes. After Israel’s covenant with the Gibeonites in Joshua 9, Joshua is immediately pulled into a fight he didn’t initiate but is still responsible to finish. In this episode of The Pursuit of Manliness, we look at what it means for men to follow through when commitment becomes costly. Joshua doesn’t hesitate, delay, or look for a way out. He shows up, fights hard, and trust...
Send us Fan Mail In Joshua 9, Israel wins battles on the battlefield but stumbles in the conference room. The Gibeonites don’t defeat Israel with swords or strength, but with worn clothes, stale bread, and a convincing story. And the most dangerous line in the chapter may be this: “They did not ask counsel from the Lord.” In this episode of The Pursuit of Manliness, we wrestle with why deception so often works on us as men. Why do we trust appearances, rush decisions, and rely on our own judg...
Send us Fan Mail Joshua 8 shows us that failure does not have to be the end of the story but it does demand obedience and follow-through. After the defeat at Ai in chapter 7, the Lord restores Israel, gives clear instruction, and calls Joshua and the people to move forward with courage and precision. This time, they listen. This time, they do exactly what God says. In this episode of The Pursuit of Manliness, we look at what it means to become men who don’t just start strong but finish faith...
Send us Fan Mail In Joshua 7, victory gives way to defeat and the reason is uncomfortable. Sin is hidden, accountability is avoided, and God’s people pay the price. On today's episode we discuss how we need a wake-up call for men who want strength without holiness and progress without obedience. We’ll unpack Achan’s compromise, Israel’s failure to seek the Lord, and the sobering truth that private sin always has public consequences. But this chapter isn’t just a warning it’s an invitati...

this is ON POINT!
Fantastic episode!
This is a good podcast for challenging men to be better Christians in ways that they are usually not challenged to be: more faithful Christians, stronger and wiser leaders of their families, and more ready and willing to help other Christian men do the same.
