Excellent podcast, love the focus on the mythical monsters themselves and appreciate the bite sized episodes that somehow are stuffed with info.
love this, though the dnd players I dm for are less than thrilled with the nightmare fuel monsters I borrow from this podcast :P
🔥
already missing new episodes 😭
"serpents aren't dragons" 🤓 you said that like 5 times WE GET IT
thank you for this episode. there are a few things that I can add based on my "Shahnameh" knowledge: The word "Nahang" in those days meant crocodile, not whale. Simurgh in Shahnameh apparently has a husband. it's just mentioned once. and I think the three feathers of Simurgh is just a recent assumption. in Shahnameh Zaal and Rostam used two of the feathers and some people assumed there is one feather left.
It's pronounced gerthah.
