Description

Christian men are in a battle for their lives. Satan will do everything possible to destroy them. The Lion Within Us is a community that provides encouragement to become the leaders God intends us to be. Our main focus lies within three categories: Health (Mental/Physical), Wealth (Careers/Finances) and Self (Husbands/Fathers/Brothers in Christ). By sharpening these areas of our lives, we can find the strength needed to stand firm in our faith and unleash the Lion Within.

Send a text What if the praise you want from God requires the process you’re trying to avoid? We sit with Job 1:8 and lean into a hard truth: character is forged before the crisis and revealed in the fire. This conversation is for men who want to lead with conviction, guard their homes, and walk with a steady peace the world can’t counterfeit. Reclaiming the Wild is back — April 24–26 at Abundant Blessings Farm (Stem, NC). This isn’t just a retreat… it’s a reset: brotherhood, faith, outdoors,...
Send a text Men don’t need more noise; we need brothers who show up. Chris sits down with John Rogers to trace a surprisingly relatable path: a tough year, a big move, a gym next to a church, and the discovery that small, steady community can change everything. John shares how daily Scripture, honest conversation, and a tight mastermind group helped him lead with courage at home and at work—without adding pressure or pretense. Reclaiming the Wild is back — April 24–26 at Abundant Blessings Fa...
Send a text A prayer for clarity. A 3 a.m. wake-up call. A career pivot no one saw coming. Drew Parker sat atop a decade of hard-won Nashville success—Grammy and CMA nods, stadium tours with Luke Combs, a label pushing singles at country radio—yet the joy faded when the lights went down. Wrestling with frustration and purpose, he asked God to speak so clearly that denial would be impossible. Five days later, his unbelieving manager called, shaken by nights of being jolted awake with one messa...
Send us a text Pressure rises, deadlines tighten, and our hands reach for the wheel. We say we trust God, yet we still try to be God. This conversation breaks that cycle with a clear path from Psalm 37:5—commit your way to the Lord, trust in Him, and He will act—and shows how those words transform real decisions for husbands, fathers, and leaders. Reclaiming the Wild is back — April 24–26 at Abundant Blessings Farm (Stem, NC). This isn’t just a retreat… it’s a reset: brotherhood, faith, outdo...
Send us a text A skeptical young husband sits on a pastor’s office floor, reads a passage, and finds the kind of faith that changes a life. That simple, humble start turns into decades of service: deep mentorship in a small church, ministry training, and a leap across the world to plant house churches in post-Soviet Ukraine. Along the way come cold trains, open-air markets, a tense meeting with the local mafia leader, and the unmistakable thread of provision that follows obedience. The missio...
Send us a text Some wounds don’t fade with time; they hide in our habits, our anger, and the way we lead at home. Patrick Morley joins us to chart a clear, biblical way to heal childhood pain and become a steady, cycle-breaking man. From passive or permissive parenting to outright absence or anger, we unpack how early stories shape adult reactions—and why behavior tweaks alone won’t fix a heart running old scripts. Reclaiming the Wild is back — April 24–26 at Abundant Blessings Farm (Stem, NC...
Send us a text When pain won’t let up and prayers feel like they bounce off the ceiling, Lamentations 3:31–32 speaks a quiet, stubborn hope: grief is seasonal, compassion is relentless. Chris opens up about back-to-back surgeries, infections, and the gut-punch of starting over, then walks us through how Scripture reframes suffering without sugarcoating it. The heart of the message is simple and strong—God does not cast off forever, and the same hand that allows a hard season is the hand that ...
Send us a text Pressure to provide can feel heavy until you remember who holds the weight. We sit down with Lucas Jordan—a husband, builder, and fearless follower of Jesus—to explore how Scripture, brotherhood, and simple daily rhythms can reshape a man’s life from the inside out. From meeting Christ in 2020 to leading others with quiet conviction, Lucas shares how community turned isolation into strength and how consistent spiritual practices fuel courage at home and clarity at work. Reclaim...
Send us a text Money can feel like a test you didn’t study for: high stakes, fast decisions, and a gnawing sense that you should be further along. We open up about the real pressure to provide, how good things like trucks and Christmas can turn into hooks, and why pride keeps men quiet when the numbers go red. Through honest stories and Scripture, we map out a path from anxiety to alignment so your finances serve your faith, not your image. Reclaiming the Wild is back — April 24–26 at Abundan...
Send us a text Ever feel like “provider” secretly means “be everything to everyone”? We got honest about money, pressure, and what 1 Timothy 5:8 truly calls men to do. Instead of chasing every desire, we draw a clear line between providing for needs and carrying a burden God never placed on our shoulders. The result is countercultural: less anxiety, more clarity, and a home led by stewardship, not perfection. Reclaiming the Wild is back — April 24–26 at Abundant Blessings Farm (Stem, NC). Thi...
Send us a text Ever felt the ground drop out from under you? Adam joins me to share how a sudden layoff shattered his illusion of control and became the turning point that rebuilt his life on surrender, Scripture, and a circle of brothers who tell the truth and don’t let you coast. It’s a raw, practical journey from “I’ve got this” to “God’s got me,” and how that shift changed his marriage, money, and mindset. Reclaiming the Wild is back — April 24–26 at Abundant Blessings Farm (Stem, NC). Th...
Send us a text What if the applause got louder while your voice grew quieter? That’s the paradox we unpack with Dr. Joel Tudman — pastor, former Division I coach, and mental health advocate — who reached the heights of platform and performance, then said the words most men avoid: “I don’t know who I am.” Reclaiming the Wild is back — April 24–26 at Abundant Blessings Farm (Stem, NC). This isn’t just a retreat… it’s a reset: brotherhood, faith, outdoors, bonfires, and real conversations. Theme...
Send us a text What if courage sometimes looks like running? We explore Paul’s charge to “flee” and “fight” in 1 Timothy 6:11–12 and show how those two commands form a clear strategy for authentic manhood. We talk about why fleeing temptation is not cowardice but wisdom, and how fighting the good fight of faith demands conviction, consistency, and a reliance on the Holy Spirit. Reclaiming the Wild is back — April 24–26 at Abundant Blessings Farm (Stem, NC). This isn’t just a retreat… it’s a r...
Send us a text Grace changes everything when you stop trying to earn it. We open with Romans 5:7–8 and move straight into a candid conversation with missions leader Lonnie Maley about what love looks like in motion—on the ground after storms, in quiet marriages that need fresh prayer, and inside men’s groups that refuse vague answers. If you’ve ever wanted a brotherhood that actually shows up, this one will hit home. Reclaiming the Wild is back — April 24–26 at Abundant Blessings Farm (Stem, ...
Send us a text Ever felt like you’re stuck managing the same sins while calling it “growth”? We invited pastor, songwriter, and storyteller JD Walt to help us break the loop and step into the second half of the gospel—where love is unleashed and life actually changes. Reclaiming the Wild is back — April 24–26 at Abundant Blessings Farm (Stem, NC). This isn’t just a retreat… it’s a reset: brotherhood, faith, outdoors, bonfires, and real conversations. Theme: we have been commanded to unite. Br...
Send us a text What if the most important sentence about your life was spoken before you did anything to deserve it? We dive straight into Romans 5:7–8 and sit with the scandal of grace: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. From there, we confront the myths men live by—earning love through performance, hiding behind passivity, and negotiating with habits that quietly hollow out the soul—and replace them with a sturdier truth that can bear the real weight of life. Reclaiming the Wi...
Send us a text What happens when a warfighter carrying anger toward God steps into a circle of men who refuse to let him stay stuck? Stephen Morris' story is raw, honest, and quietly hopeful—a road from combat and cynicism to brotherhood, prayer, and real accountability that actually changes a man. We start with a simple lens—Luke 6:40—then move straight into the hard stuff: the weight of watching friends die, the questions that won’t go away, and the stubborn belief that God exists even when...
Send us a text What if discipleship worked like a real apprenticeship—with hands in the work, not just head in the clouds? We sit down with Pastor Heath Hardesty, author of All Things Together, to unpack a simple but deep pattern for growth: union with Christ, abiding in His presence, obeying His teaching, and imaging His character. Heath’s journey from a plumber’s apprentice to a lead pastor gives this model grit and stories you can feel—soldering joints, learning by doing, failing, laughing...
Send us a text A single verse can reset how we grow. Luke 6:40 reframes discipleship as apprenticeship, and we lean into that picture with both feet—hands-on learning, real-time correction, and a long obedience in the same direction. We talk plainly about why information alone won’t form a Christlike life, how teachability beats talent over time, and why imitation under a patient Master is the path that actually changes us. Reclaiming the Wild is back — April 24–26 at Abundant Blessings Farm ...
Send us a text Fresh year, clean slate, and a clear plan to lead with purpose. We close the classic Fun Friday format and map out a simple three-part reset: a daily Bible rhythm that actually sticks, a calm financial audit that aligns money with mission, and one small family habit to restore connection at home. No hype, no overwhelm—just steps you can start today. Reclaiming the Wild is back — April 24–26 at Abundant Blessings Farm (Stem, NC). This isn’t just a retreat… it’s a reset: brotherh...
