As the holidays ramp up and the end of the year approaches, it can feel like working mom life turns into an endurance sport. In this short, timely episode, learn five practical "endurance tips" to help you finish the year with energy left in the tank.   Recorded in the middle of snow days, schedule chaos, and all the extra demands that come with December, this episode is designed to meet you where you are—busy, stretched, and doing your best. Instead of focusing on survival, Katelyn invites you to think like an endurance athlete: managing your energy, protecting your bandwidth, and crossing into the new year with a little life left in your battery.   You'll hear simple, realistic strategies you can start using today, including: A mindset shift that helps you decide what's actually worth doing each day   Permission to let some things wait until January (yes, really)   Why sneaking away for a few minutes can completely change your energy   A powerful end-of-day practice to quiet the "never enough" feeling   What to do to calm your nervous system and recharge   Take this episode on a walk, on your commute, or while wrapping gifts or baking cookies and change how you show up during one of the most demanding times of the year for working moms.   ==========================   🔗 Links & Resources:   ==========================    Join my email list   Learn more about coaching   ========================== 📲 Stay Connected! ==========================   💌 Join my email list for weekly coaching tips & other resources ➡️ Subscribe to Working Mom Wednesday newsletter 📸 Follow me on Instagram for working mom inspo ➡️https://www.instagram.com/lovemothernurture/ 🤝 Connect with me on LinkedIn ➡️https://www.linkedin.com/in/katelyndenning/   New episodes drop every Tuesday! Make sure you're subscribed so you never miss an episode.   And if this episode made you rethink about how you balance work and life as a working mom, send it to a friend!
From overnight wake-ups and packing lunches to changing careers and finding energy, Megan and I cover a LOT in this episode. I'm joined by sister-in-law for an honest, behind-the-scenes conversation about what full-time work actually looks like with three young kids at home.   We talk candidly about the seasons of motherhood that stretch your capacity, force you to lower expectations, and ultimately show you just how capable you really are.   You'll hear real stories from daily life as a working mom, including:   What a typical workday looks like with three kids five and under   How she manages early mornings, daycare drop-offs, and tight schedules   The reality of pumping at work and trying to protect that time   How she thinks about sleep, exhaustion, and managing expectations when nights are broken   The logistics of packing all the food for daycare—and the simple systems that make it doable   Why repetition can be a gift for both kids and parents   If you're a working mom juggling young kids, feeling stretched thin, or wondering if now is really the right time to make a change, this conversation will remind you that you're not alone—and that your capacity is likely greater than you think.   ==========================   🔗 Links & Resources:   ==========================    Learn more about coaching with Katelyn   ==========================   📲 Stay Connected!
If you've ever tried to build a consistent exercise routine while juggling work, kids, meetings, meals, and the everyday chaos of family life, you're going to want to listen to this episode.   Today I'm talking with Allison, and she shares the real (not Instagram-perfect) story of how she slowly built a morning workout habit—one that has broken down, disappeared, and been rebuilt more than once over the years.   We talk honestly about seasons when everything falls apart: the years with toddlers, job changes, unpredictable schedules, and the weeks when you're just too tired to do anything more than survive. And we also dive into what helped her find her way back to movement each time, even when she felt like she was starting from zero.   In this conversation, you'll hear: How Allison created a morning routine that actually fits her real life, not an idealized version of it.   Why her first attempt at a workout routine completely collapsed—and what helped her rebuild.   How she and her husband communicate about their schedules so both people get time for exercise, rest, and parenting breaks.   What it looks like to recommit to yourself in the middle of a busy season, without guilt or judgment.   If you're craving more energy, more consistency, or simply permission to start small, you'll love this episode. It's full of practical ideas, gentle encouragement, and the reminder that caring for your body is not another item on your to-do list—it's something that can actually make your life feel easier.   ==========================   🔗 Links & Resources:   ==========================    The Comfort Crisis by Michael Easter   Learn more about coaching with Katelyn   ==========================   📲 Stay Connected! Make sur e you're subscribed so you never miss an episode.   And if this episode made you rethink about how you balance work and life as a working mom, send it to a friend!
In this week's episode, Katelyn sits down with photographer, mom of two, and natural community-builder Brooke, for a heartfelt conversation about what it really looks like to work, parent, and stay connected through every season of working motherhood.   Brooke shares honestly about navigating a career with fluctuating busy seasons, balancing weekend work with family life, and communicating needs at home—especially during intense work seasons. She talks about how she and her husband have learned to share responsibilities, let go of perfection, and trust each other's way of doing things.   But what really makes this conversation special is Brooke's other superpower: creating community. Whether she's organizing a fall hangout, sending the cutest invite, or simply texting friends to join her for a walk, Brooke shows how building friendships doesn't have to be elaborate (unless you want it to be)—it can be simple, intentional, and doable for even the busiest working mom.   If you're a working mom trying to build a village, wanting fresh ideas for friendship, or simply trying to manage life during your own busy season, this conversation will give you so many ideas, big and small.   ==========================   🔗 Links & Resources:   ========================== Brooke Lehenbauer Photography Learn more about coaching with Katelyn @francescaphyscology Instagram   ==========================   📲 Stay Connected!
If you've ever felt the weight of caring for everyone—your team, your patients, your kids, your household—this conversation is for you.   In this week's episode, I sit down with my friend Elise, a full-time physician, mom of two, whose workdays and home life both revolve around caregiving in different, equally demanding ways. Elise shares what it's really like to spend your day caring for patients and then come home to the second shift of caring for your family—and how she tries to stay grounded through it all.   We talk about:   the emotional load of being a caregiver in your career and at home,   how she "shifts gears" between those two versions of herself,   the compressed 5–8 p.m. window that can feel like a sprint,   the boundaries that help her leave work at work (most days),   and how she stays connected to her husband despite two very demanding careers.   Elise also gets honest about dinner stress, finding time for herself, and what she's learning about letting go of perfection in favor of what actually works. It's warm, real, and full of those "oh good, it's not just me" moments we all need.   ==========================   🔗 Links & Resources:   ==========================    Episode 10 - Say Goodbye to Last-Minute Dinner Stress   Elise uses a Blue Sky Planner   Learn more about coaching for working moms   ==========================   📲 Stay Connected!
In this conversation with my friend and neighbor, Lauren, we talk about something so many working moms wrestle with: the pressure to do it all. We get honest about what it looks like to set boundaries in your real life, how we decide what we're not doing, how we protect our time, and how we lean on each other and our support systems to make work and family life sustainable.   If you've been feeling stretched thin, or like you're carrying more than you actually want to be carrying, this episode is a reminder that you get to choose. You're allowed to say no. And you're allowed to create a life that has room for you in it.   Listen in for practical examples, real-world conversation, and permission to take something off your plate.     ==========================   🔗 Links & Resources:   ==========================   Download the Working Mom's Ultimate Guide to Getting Things Done   ==========================   📲 Stay Connected!

In this episode, we're talking about the real-life logistics of being a working mom who travels — and how communication and help make it all possible.   My former manager, who showed me the ropes when it comes to work travel, shares how her career has taken her on the road for years, and what she's learned about staying connected with her family while she's away. From managing calendars to planning ahead (and letting go of perfection), we dive into what it really takes to leave your family.   We also talk about how asking for help isn't a weakness — it's a strategy. Whether it's coordinating with your partner, leaning on friends, or being upfront with your employer, clear communication and support are what keep things running smoothly.   If you've ever packed a suitcase while double-checking the school lunch menu, this episode will remind you that you're not alone — and that there's no one right way to make it all work.   ==========================   🔗 Links & Resources:   ==========================    Get your ticket to Stress Less This Holiday on November 6th   ==========================   📲 Stay Connected!

In this episode, my dear friend and college roommate Rachel joins me to talk about what life looks like 16 years into running her own independent piano studio while raising two daughters and managing a nontraditional work schedule that flips the typical 9-5 on its head.   We talk about: What a "typical" day looks like when your workday starts at 3 p.m.   How she manages her studio, family, and home life (and what her students think she does "all day")   Setting boundaries when you're self-employed and work from home   Sharing calendars, coordinating schedules, and staying connected as a family   The trade-offs and freedoms that come with unconventional work hours   Reconnecting with reading, creativity, and hobbies as your kids grow   Whether you're a working mom with a flexible schedule, a creative entrepreneur, or simply curious about how other families make it all work, this conversation will have something for you.   Tune in for real talk about work, family, music, and the balancing act so many of us are navigating — with a little nostalgia and laughter sprinkled in ========================== 🔗 Links & Resources: ========================== Get your ticket to Stress Less This Holiday and plan the season with me!   Learn more about coaching with Katelyn   ========================== 📲 Stay Connected!
Welcome to Season 2 where I'm sitting down with everyday working moms to ask them how they do it! We're pulling back the curtain on morning routines, work responsibilities, getting help, sharing the mental load, and so much more.   In this conversation, I sit down with my former manager and friend, Amanda Davis, to talk about the real-life juggle of growing a career while raising a family. Amanda is a mom of four (including twins!) and currently leads a sales team. We reminisce about our early days working together in tech—navigating mergers and maternity leaves—and then dive into what life looks like for her now.   Amanda shares how she and her husband encourage independence with their kids, the lessons she's learned from taking big career and business risks, and how she makes time for both her professional ambitions and personal passions. We also talk openly about asking for help, leaning on community, and giving yourself permission to pivot when a job no longer fits your season of life.   If you've ever wondered how another working mom manages the chaos of school mornings, sports schedules, and career transitions, this episode is for you.   ========================== 🔗 Links & Resources: ========================== Get your ticket to Stress Less This Holiday and plan the season with me!   Learn more about coaching with Katelyn     ========================== 📲 Stay Connected!
