The weekend was pretty much a wash due to the weather but the days leading up to the weekend were fairly good! I'll talk about that, plus a few other things that you may want to start thinking about now so they don't sneak up on ya in the spring time!

Few different layers to todays report. Let's start with the bluefin tuna fishing.. still absolutely phenomenal. Haven't seen anything like it in years, BUT with the coastal storm that is approaching and setting in this weekend how will that affect the fishing? Kind of the same ol' song and dance from Monday. Bluefin, bluefin and MORE bluefin! A few other species mixed in there but the bluefin is the talk of the docks. Still some speckle trout in the back country but knowing how/where to look is the key. I'll get you up to speed with it all in this report.

IT'S A BLUEFIN BLITZ!!! Other than that it's pretty scrappy everywhere else, but the bluefin tuna fishing is INSANE! Listen and you'll understand why!

Not a bad weekend at all! The temps were pretty funky but the fishing was not, as far as the offshore, Ramp 55 in Hatteras and back country reports are concerned. I'll get you up to speed from the weekend (to include Friday) in this report.

Hope you had a Merry Christmas!! Minimal fishing report today... not a whole lot of activity but there was some fishing done so I'll get you up to speed with what's going on and what to expect in this report.
Not much fishing at all has happened over the last few days so I figured I'd take a moment to tell you a Christmas story about my first Christmas away from home when I was fishing down in the Florida Keys. It was a special moment that's for sure!

A long time tradition at the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is to get "creeked" when you catch your first billfish of the year. Well, our ol' pal Capt. Marty is going to tell you all about the "Creekin' Committee" and how it came about and what happened one day when trying to creek someone!
