Not just a “churchy saying,” but an absolute truth in Scripture! God is good even in the storms of life, in fact, often times it’s the struggles of life that teach us the faithfulness of God. God is not subservient to the storms of life, He is sovereign over them! ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
This last sermon in the series, Be the Branch, reminds us of the courage & strength we can access through the Peace of God. His Peace sustains us in our low moments, supersedes our circumstances and surpasses our understanding. ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
The Christmas narrative in Scripture tells us that there is Good News of Great JOY for everyone! That’s worth smiling about! 🙂Jesus teaches in John 15 that He’s the vine and we’re the branches…and that if we live our lives according to that truth, His JOY will be in us and our JOY will be complete! That’s worth going for! 🙂 ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
The love of God changes everything & everyone! His love sees us, cares for us, heals us, empowers us and… the love of God does not follow the rules of man! ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
People are the best…and also sometimes, people are the worst. Regardless, we need people in our lives - and that requires HUMILITY. It’s one thing to “be the branch” with the all-powerful, all-knowing, all-loving God - but can we “be the branch” with other people? Even the ones that hurt us? ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
Maybe you can relate with Gideon’s 3 questions to God: •Why is this Happening? •Where is God? •How can I Do This? The Bible answers all 3 questions and those answers will work for anyone and everyone! #BetheBranch ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
There is a right way to follow God and a wrong way…which is NOT determined by us or other “branches,” but by God Himself. You can choose to do it the wrong way -trying to be the Vine- but Jesus tells Martha in Luke 10 that there’s a better way! ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
If we simply STAY with God in every season we go through, we will find true success and fulfillment! He is the Source of Life and those who stay connected to Him no matter what, will never be lost! Patience trusts God even over man’s promotion and teaches us that one thing always leads to another! ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
In John 15, Jesus tells us that “apart from Him, we can do nothing.” Why would we ever disconnect from the “Source of life?!” Because it’s hard? Or we don’t understand? Or it’s unjust? Maybe the account of Job in the Bible, will help us with our perspective… ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
Jesus makes it blatantly clear in John 15 that HE alone is the VINE…and we are the branches. That’s not an insult, but rather the embodiment of our God-given purpose in life! When “branches” try to pretend like they’re “the vine,” life gets complicated, confusing and chaotic! Branches have 2 functions: Remain in the Vine & Produce Fruit. Be the branch! ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
There are a lot of opinions being voiced in society today…. Proverbs 3 was written by King Solomon, the wisest person to ever live, and Canonized in the Holy Bible, making it the inspired Word of God. Regardless of how “right” we think we are in our perspective and grasp on life… maybe we should listen to what God tells us to do in the third Proverb. ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
How do we go through dark times and not lose ourselves (our hope, our peace, our minds, our good sense, our integrity, our faith)? This sermon explains why PRAYER is not a cliché or a cop-out, but actually the believer’s first line of defense and offense! Pray FIRST …and… Pray MORE! ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
Sometimes we can have everything we need (and even want) and still find reason to complain or be upset… it’s the human condition. Paul & Silas found themselves severely beaten, unjustly imprisoned and seemingly abandoned; and YET, they had reason to sing and praise God!?! We do too. ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
Step into the Garden of Gethsemane… Jesus wrestled with suffering, obedience, and surrender & He shows us what it means to say, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” Jesus conquered, and with HIM you can, too! Jesus understands our spirit is willing, but our flesh is weak… so, let’s learn from Him how to keep our eyes on GOD when life feels heavy! ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
The grace of God not only rescues us from our sin, but it also empowers us to live our lives to the fullest! The Saving Grace of God is not a one-time event and the Sustaining Grace of God is available in both the low & high places of our lives. We need BOTH and the good news is, they’re both always available to those who are “IN” Christ Jesus! ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
Jesus went looking for the “woman at the well,” NOT to condemn her but to redeem her. She had adapted her lifestyle to accommodate her secret, but Jesus came to set her free. The same is true for us today: God’s not coming “AT” you - He’s coming “FOR” you! ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
Jesus knew everything that would happen on the Cross and He STILL went forward. At no point was the Son of God in trouble or in danger of losing…it wasn’t a close call - it was the plan all along! If things seem bleak right now in your life, remember, God does for us what we cannot do for ourselves! ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
In life, seasons come to an end, but sometimes we “call it quits” before it’s actually over. Other people will say it’s over - we often tell ourselves it’s over - and even the odds or facts of life will indicate it’s over… but if God hasn’t said it’s over, it’s not a thing! Choose to believe in God no matter what! ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
Our failures will never be greater than God’s forgiveness! Even in the midst of our mistakes - He doesn’t condemn, He still has a purpose, and His way will always be the best way! Have you messed-up lately? Maybe forgiveness is right where you fell. ♥️ ----- Official Website Instagram Twitter Facebook
