She decided to create the space she was craving by hosting events for "motherless daughters," eventually expanding this experience into The Memory Circle, a grief-focused therapy practice.    In this episode, Barri, Helen, and Emma talk about how to "tend to grief" by journaling, starting a "delight practice," taking walks, and finding ways, big or small, to be with the person you're grieving. Barri's mother Ellen died in 1993 and she dedicates this work to her and the resources she wishes she had herself. The key is finding an enjoyable activity that fits into your life – and sticking with it.      About Dr. Kellyann Niotis:  Kellyann Niotis, MD, is the first fellowship-trained preventive neurologist specializing in risk reduction strategies for neurodegenerative disorders, including Parkinson's disease, Lewy Body Dementia, and Alzheimer's disease. She completed her medical internship and neurology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident and the inaugural McGraw Fellow in Neurology Research.
