I personally don't switch my ammo to ball until I am at the range. Outside of the range I only have defensive ammo loaded. He was lucky living in an apartment and shooting ball 40 or 45, he didn't sail a round into another apartment. Props to Sony for the unintentional bullet trap. Glad everything worked out for him.
