30th November is St. Andrew's Day in Scotland, an annual holiday for our patron saint. So what better way to celebrate the day than to give some examples of how Scotland or Scottish people has positively influenced public health over the years? Join my sister (neurospicy screenwriter Lorna) and I as we talk about the following topics: penicillin, anaesthesia, insulin discovery, beta blockers, the Glasgow Coma Scale and genetic cloning. But did you know that is a specific public health strategy in Scotland to curb alcohol consumption? So, what do we actually mean by public health?
