Back to normal this week, folks, with Mick, Steve, Lyle and Kieran chatting about a few new games, Legacy of Kain: Ascendance and Super Meat Boy 3D. Talking about these games leads into a longer chat about legacy sequels, and the lads blast through a whole bunch of classics and not-so-classics.
Sadly we were unable to record a regular podcast this week, so please enjoy this free version of one of our Patreon-only LLC DLC episodes, where Mick, Kieran and Steve attempt to rank all the Resident Evil protagonists. Regular scheduling will return after the Easter break! Enjoy.
In a bumper episode this week, Mick, Lyle, Kieran and (occasionally) Steve go through some of the massive franchises, companies and games that are celebrating milestones in 2026. From Gears of War and Halo, to Pokemon, Resident Evil and the Legend of Zelda, there are some very important birthdays this year, and the lads go down a whole bunch of nostalgia holes.
This week we chat about a few things like Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug Hunt and Thomas & Friends: Wonders of Sodor, but mostly it's an Open World-themed episode and Mick talks everyone to death about Crimson Desert for a solid hour. It's a wonder Lyle made it through - but whether you love it or hate it, it is a game that warrants discussion. For an hour. And he could have talked more.

And while they're on the subject, Kieran gets into the cosy new Pokémon spin-off Pokopia, and Mick has some opinions on Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection.

They also find time to chat about Disco-like fantasy detective game, Esoteric Ebb, the Marathon Server Slam, and the fact that Pokemon is 30 years old in 2026.
With the release of Resident Evil : Requiem on everyone's mind, this week Mick, Kieran, and Steve go over the whole series, discussing everything from Grace and Leon's new adventure to the original games, the recent remakes, and the Switch 2 ports of Resident Evil 7 and Village.
This week Mick, Kieran and Lyle have a good old chat about the recent SONY State of Play, including a breakdown of the new God of War Metroidvania, Sons of Sparta. They also discuss Silent Hill: Townfall, Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, and Project Windless. This week Mick, Steve, Chris and Lyle chat about what makes a game weird, from the developer behind it to the subject matter or sense of humour. They also find time to discuss what Mick thought of the Replaced demo, Steve's Reanimal review, Lyle's take on Grasshopper Manufacture's Romeo is a Dead Man, and Chris's time spent with the Yakuza Kiwami 3 remake.
This week on Loot Level Chat, Mick, Steve, Lyle, and Kieran discuss the merits of massive games. From Final Fantasy VII to Persona 5 Royal, they have a good old chinwag about their favourite 100-hour games. They also discuss Nioh 3, which Mick reviewed, and Edmund McMillen's Mewgenics, which has Lyle really excited about cat poo. You heard it here first!
