The magic of the cup is still alive! Bottom of league 1, Port Vale beat Sunderland to advance to the quarter finals of the FA Cup. Incredible achievement and will now take a trip to Stamford Bridge. Elsewhere, Mansfield put up a fight against Arsenal but succumb to the Premier League quality but what an account of themselves. We also look back at the midweek Premier League fixtures including Newcastle's brilliant win against Manchester United and City's slip up against Forest. Finally, we loo...
Set piece after set piece after set piece, boring anti football dominates the talk of the pod once again as all three goals in the Arsenal Chelsea game are set pieces. As well as Liverpool putting three set pieces in the back of West Ham's net. Elsewhere, there are goals all over the shop as Wolves beat Villa, Brentford narrowly beat Burnley and Newcastle lose at home for the 3rd game in a row. Ouch! Enjoy! North London is Red, but to wind Ryan up, let's just say London as a whole is red. Spurs capitulate to Arsenal as Eze scores a brace in the NLD. Man City keep the pressure on meaning that game in April between the two will be very tense and a decider for the league winners. Elsewhere, the bottom of the table continues to be nervy for 3 teams as they all earn a point each against some big teams and finally we talk Champions League action including the 6-1 win for Newcastle. Enjoy! Social...
Wow, were we treated or what? What a game to witness on Sunday at 4.30, obviously this happened after Louis predicted a 0-0 snoozefest, but alas we got the opposite. Incredible pace, drama, controversy and an incredible free kick, we are absolutely here for it. Elsewhere, Spurs continue to plummet and Frank has now been sacked, Man United's fan still has a crazy hairstyle and Forest struggle against Wolves. It all happened across two game weeks. This weekend, we have FA Cup action so tune in ...

Arsenal lose at the Emirates in the league for the first time in a long time which is fuelling the bottle job talk as City win against Wolves. History has been made! The teams in the top 6 all fail to earn 3 points for the first time in Premier League history. Something Arsenal failed to capitalise on and the bottom teams all seem to picking up a bit of form. Will it be enough to save any of them from relegation and is this a bottle from Arsenal or just one slight slip? A big old catch up from us as we have not recorded in a while due to personal commitments and a lot of football being played but we have delved into the past two game weeks including the FA Cup 3rd round. The best cup round of all. The magic of the cup as alive and kicking with Macclesfield causing the biggest upset we have ever seen in the cup and thats what it is all about. We had red cards, penalty shootouts, drama and giant killings, what more could you want! Enjoy! Socials; TWITT...
Christmas is here which means football does not stop, if anything it gets more frequent, and what a gameweek we had just before the Xmas break. Newcastle and Chelsea played out an end to end 2-2 draw, City went top for a few hours before Arsenal won again to propel them back up there, they are top at Xmas for the 5th time, will they finally win the league this season after being top at Christmas? Elsewhere, Morgan Rogers is on fire and so are Leeds of all teams. We look ahead to the fes...
We don't think Newcastle remembered that they were in a derby game the way they played against Sunderland, but all props go to the mackems as they were the better team and clearly wanted it more. Elsewhere, Wolves nearly proved to be a banana skin for Arsenal and United v Bournemouth gave us the best game of the season so far. As well as this, we talk FPL, Carabao Cup QF action and look ahead to this weekends fixtures. Enjoy! Socials; TWITTER; https://www.instagram.com/itsfootballday_...
Now that was some week of football. Two game weeks to discuss as well as an open apology from Louis to Ryan after Chelsea dominated Barcelona in the Champions League. We've had it all, 5-4 wins, red cards, terrible overhead kicks and the top 2 battling it out, all whilst Wolves continue to lose, albeit showing some signs of improvement. As well as this, we look ahead to this weekends fixtures which features an absolute blockbuster Saturday. Let's 'av it. Enjoy! Socials; TWITTER; https://www...
Another absolutely class weekend of football. Ebere Eze makes the Emirates erupt as Arsenal dominate against a frankly embarrassing spurs. Louis enjoys the party at St James’ Park as Harvey Barnes’ brace earns the toon 3 points and West Ham blow a 2-0 lead to draw against Bournemouth. As well as this, we look ahead to the champions league fixtures, including Chelsea v Barcelona. Louis seems to think Barca will dominate, this is going to age well isn’t it? Enjoy! Dramatic scenes at Hampden Park and in Hungary as Scotland make their first world cup in over 20 years and Troy Parrott's hattrick secures Ireland a playoff spot to try and earn their spot at the WC. For once, the international break wasn't a snooze fest. England progress with flying colours, scoring 22 goals across 8 games and 0 goals conceded, but when you look at the opponents we faced, we should be achieving this. No more international football until March now and the Premier League retur...
Another insane weekend of football with Sunderland scoring two against defensive stalwarts Arsenal and Liverpool losing 3-0 in Pep's 1000th managerial game. Elsewhere, Newcastle continue to struggle in London whilst West Ham register back to back wins. Unfortunately, the international break returns which no one really enjoys but its the last one until April, so lets hope it goes quickly. Enjoy! The robot celebration has been seen at the Etihad as Haaland plays into the name as he continues his scoring masterclass. Arsenal continue to top the table as Liverpool also win to secure third so far. The biggest shock of the weekend comes in the form of West Ham as they get their first win in 8 against struggling Newcastle. Finally we review the champions league and look ahead to the big clash of City v Liverpool this weekend. Socials; TWITTER; https://www.instagram.com/...
Another week down of Premier League action and there were a few shocks to say the least. Man United win their 3rd game in a row, Brent shock Liverpool and Sunderland haunt Chelsea with a last minute winner. With that result, Sunderland jumped up into the top 4 and so did Bournemouth, with their only loss coming on the opening day, impressive. Elsewhere, the Carabao Cup quarter finals are set up as Palace continue to be the bogey team for Liverpool and the holders Newcastle progress agai...

The epitome of the International Break boring us as per usual, somehow this episode included a lot of talk about the Traitors instead but there is some football content for you sprinkled in for good measure. Finally, we look ahead to this weekends action, including Liverpool v Chelsea. Enjoy! Socials; TWITTER; https://www.instagram.com/itsfootballday_ I...
Does it surprise us anymore that the 4.30pm Sunday kick off was boring? Especially with Arteta involved. No it does not. Anti football returns and bores us with a goal at the start and at the end. The Saturday night game however, chaos personified and we are here for it, well maybe not Ryan. We look back on the weekends fixtures, crucial Carabao Cup action as Newcastle's cup defence begins and finally we look ahead to the big fixtures this weekend. Enjoy!
