Our Lead Pastor, Whit George, closes out Holy Week on Easter Sunday. We often believe our biggest problems are external: our circumstances, our relationships, our situation... But what if the deeper issue isn't out there, and it was actually within you? The resurrection confronts that reality. If Jesus really rose from the dead, then this life isn't all there is. Your story isn't over, and what you're longing for actually has an answer. The resurrection isn't just about what happened 2,000 years ago, it's about what's possible for you right now. In this message, Pastor Whit explores the following Scriptures: LUKE 24:15-16 ESV 15 While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them. 16 But their eyes were kept from recognizing him. LUKE 24:21 ESV 21 But we had hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel... LUKE 24:25-27 ESV 25 And he said to them, "O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?" 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. 1 CORINTHIANS 15:14, 16-19 ESV 14 ... if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. 16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied. LUKE 24:32 ESV 32 They said to each other, "Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?" – Next Steps Looking to take a next step? Knowing Jesus has transformed our lives, so our goal for each of our worship services, from our kids' environments on up, is to help people know that same love. Our Lead Pastor, Whit George, begins Holy Week. When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowd believed He was the King they had been waiting for, and they were right, but not in the way they expected. They were looking for a king who would overthrow Rome. Instead, Jesus came to defeat something deeper. Sin, death, and the enemy itself, and while we remember His first coming during Holy Week, we're also reminded of something we often forget: He's coming again. So what does it look like to live ready? • Put your hope in the right place—not in circumstances, but in Christ • Stay awake—don't drift into distraction or a meaningless life • Encourage one another as we wait for His return In this message, Pastor Whit explores the following Scriptures: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 ESV 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 ESV Genesis 3:15 NIV Deuteronomy 18:15 ESV 2 Samuel 7:12 ESV Daniel 7:13-14 ESV Psalm 118:25-27 ESV Isaiah 9:2 ESV Luke 1:78-79 ESV John 12:16 ESV Psalm 118:22-24 ESV Psalm 96:10-13 ESV Revelation 21:1-4 ESV Revelation 22:17 ESV Revelation 22:20 ESV – Next Steps Looking to take a next step? Our Founding Pastor, Willie George, continues week eleven of our teaching series, Breakthrough. The Holy Spirit was given as our Helper, our divine guarantee, that God has placed within us. Through Him, we step into a life marked by wisdom, love, and supernatural might to do what God has called us to do. As we walk in the love of God, the power of God can freely work in and through us.   In this message, Pastor Willie explores the following Scriptures:   John 14:16 KJV 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;   2 Corinthians 1:21-22 NKJV 21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, 22 who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.   2 Timothy 1:6-7 KJV 6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.   Ephesians 1:15-17 KJV 15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, 16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him...   Proverbs 4:7 KJV 7 Wisdom is the principal thing...   Isaiah 37:3 ESV 3 "...children have come to the point of birth, and there is no strength to bring them forth."   Ephesians 3:14-16 KJV 14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;   Judges 13:25 NIV 25 and the Spirit of the Lord began to stir him while he was in Mahaneh Dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol.   Ephesians 3:16-19 KJV 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.   Matthew 9:35-36 KJV 35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching... preaching..., and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. – Next Steps Looking to take a next step?
