Universal Team Members aren't as well-known as their counterparts over at Disney World for guest service. In recent years, we have really had some out of this world experiences with Team Members at Universal Studios Orlando. This episode is a quick story about what a senior Team Leader did out of the blue at my family's second favorite attraction. You can love both places, and there are Cast Members and Team Members at each place that will go above and beyond to make your day better. Enjoy some back stage tales and brush your alien hair.
It's Christmas season in Orlando, and we're keeping it upbeat. No whining about prices, just real dad hacks for getting the most out of Disney and Universal holidays with a 16-year-old and an 11-year-old. If you're planning Thanksgiving, Christmas week, or just dreaming about the lights, this one's for you.

This episode is dedicated to saving all of you from yourselves if you are even thinking about buying a next-generation Harry Potter wand. A 15-minute rant on the state of the wizarding world and how that section of the park has become a nightmare in all three Universal Studios parks in Florida. Save yourself the money and loss of sanity. Not for those who don't like rants. This one ain't positive.
Litem Jr and I review the Happiest Place on Turf! We had the fortune of crossing something off my bucket list. I've wanted to play a real Disney Golf course at Walt Disney World since I was his age and saw people teeing off from the monorail. What to avoid, what to expect, and how to save money. Enjoy one more piece of the magic and come along with us. May the Course Be With You!
Is fall a good time to visit the Florida Disney parks? YES!! Thinking of visiting Universal Orlando? Take that unexpected trip. What to expect from the weather, crowd level, and cost of hotels during each of the next 3 mos. If you can stand the heat, have some patience, and know what weekends to avoid, it's the best time of the year for your wallet.
Part 2 of our trip report on EPIC UNIVERSE. Thoughts on how to stay cool in the new park (It's really hard to do during summer), Pizza Moon being "mid", and the kids' favorite Team Member interactions. Overall, the trip for AP Previews was a huge success, and we are all looking forward to heading back in the Fall. Enjoy!
The kids and I were fortunate enough to visit EPIC Universe during passholder previews. Would the park work out for teens and pre-teens? I'll let them tell you. In this episode, they discuss how they found out they were going and what it was like walking into Orlando's newest theme park. Dark Universe is our first installment of the series. Each one will be no longer than 30 minutes. Enjoy
My trip to Disney Springs was interrupted by an incident that was so funny I had to report. Hope it makes you laugh. No country bears or pretzel bites were harmed in the recording of this quick podcast.
Just a quick hello from a few locations as I relaxed in the sun and enjoyed the blessings of a beautiful day at some of my favorite places. Enjoy, and if you can afford it, buy at Copper Creek. I was shocked and someday I would like to have a piece of that peace.
New parades. New E tickets. New Drone shows. New Harry Potter shows. New Dreamworks land! The return of Shrek and Donkey! New nighttime spectaculars in 3 different places. Plus, all the places to cool down and enjoy it all. Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida are both on fire this summer. Here's your guide!!
Greetings from ground zero of The GREAT STINK OFF. A tongue in cheek at the Run Disney and Halloween Horror Nights events which are going on today here in Orlando Florida. Who is the most ripe? the guests who just ran 10 kilometers in the Florida heat, or the folks in all black HHN garb that have been sweating all day in the hopes of being first in line for Holiday decorations are up at the Walt Disney World. Holiday merchandise featuring Earl the Squirrel is on sale and available at the Islands of Adventure annual pass-holder lounge. Congratulations to all the runners/walkers out there. I hope my HHN friends all had a great haunt this year. -Litem
Litem Jr tells the tale of how he got his new "Isle of Berk" shirt from the not yet opened Universal Studios EPIC Adventure on his very own podcast. Recorded live from Disney Animal Kingdom, he also reviews Everest after his first time riding it. (This leaves only Velocicoaster and Hulk? as the only two Sea World, Disney, and Universal Coasters on both coasts that he has not ridden) > He's much braver than I was at age 9. (and maybe than I still am)
Rocky start over at my favorite resort. The show starts with a live broadcast from the lounge area of Royal Pacific Resort in Universal Studios Florida and ends up being a great day for weather, shopping, and driving a motorbike. The back story for the next episode, and how your host broke the story on the new merchandise for How to Train Your Dragon is told. This is part one of a 23,000-step day. Litem Jr joins me for the final 5 miles of the day at Disney Animal Kingdom tomorrow. Enjoy
Sounds and interactions with your old pal Litem as he walks into and around Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Mini Golf, Jakes, Voodoo Doughnut, and even Homer Simpson are discussed live as I walk and share today's trip. Crowd level is a 10/10 but the weather is also a 10/10 and its a great day. Published hours after I got home just 12 miles away. Enjoy.
Setting the stage for a camping/walkabout trip here in beautiful Walt Disney World. Some quick airline comedy and plenty of leaf blowers to boot.
Wrapping up quick thoughts on DCA, World of Color, Nintendo-land at Universal Studios Hollywood, as well as a breaking news story about Minecraft and GTA coming in 2025
After years of wanting, waiting, and hoping to see the Disneyland Resort, this East Coast Dad finally got to go out west with the kids and see The House That Walt Built. Disneyland, Disney's California Adventure, and Universal Studios Hollywood were among the adventures the Litem crew had on the list for Christmas. Expectations were high, research was done, dreams were realized, and THE BEST VACATION I'VE HAD IN A DECADE happened. Here's why..............
Just some quick soundbites recorded on my first trip to Disneyland after going to Walt Disney World for 30+ years. It was amazing and did this former Cast Member's heart a world of good.
My oldest and my youngest give their trip report for Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood. I wasn't in the studio, but you will enjoy it. Life-long Disney World and Universal Orlando AP holders, give their first impressions on the West Coast parks.
