Barry Stone is a songwriter and producer who co produced the Nukleopatra album with Steve Coy at PWL Studios in 1994.

Marking its 30th anniversary the podcast tells the story of how this album came about and how Barry got to work with his teenage pop idol Pete Burns.

As well as sharing his memories about the recordings and his time in the studio with the band, Barry will also be joined by many of the people involved in the Nukleopatra project and who worked with Pete Burns & Steve Coy throughout this era of the Dead Or Alive story.

Guests include Lynne Burns, Dean Bright, Jeyjon, Di Vidos, Tracy Ackerman, David Howells and many more.

In this final episode, Barry is joined by Peter Oxendale who co wrote 9 of the 12 songs that made up the Nukleopatra album. Peter explains how these songs came to be written as well as how his friendship with Pete & Steve led to him joining the band in the early nineties. Barry also takes us on a journey of creating a brand new song using a long forgotten vocal that he recorded Pete singing over 30 years ago. In October 1995 the Dead Or Alive album 'Nukleopatra' was finally released in Japan. It would subsequently come out in many different territories around the world. Barry is joined by fellow podcast host Matthew Denby and Cleopatra record label boss Brian Perera to discuss two of those territories, Australia & America. Di Vidos talks to Barry this episode about her fascinating journey with Dead Or Alive which began in 1984 when Di was part of the management team CMO. Di became a close friend to the band and played a huge part in their success - it was Di who suggested the band should go to Japan! Encouraged by photographer friends Mario Testino and Paul Cox it was during those early trips to Japan that Di first photographed Dead Or Alive. Her photographs of Pete were used throughout the Nukleopatra era and many of her shots became the cover images for versions of the album released around the world. Barry chats with fashion and costume designer Dean Bright who has a fascinating history with the band that goes all the way back to 1984 when he made the now iconic purple dressing gown seen in the ‘You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)’ video. Dean not only went on to appear in the ‘Turn Around And Count To Ten’ video, but in the nineties he became part of the band joining Pete, Steve & Jeyjon touring and promoting ‘Nukleopatra' all around the world.
