Yes, I'd like fries with that! It's not just a delicious, salty treat, but also an easy acronym for ensuring consent. F.R.I.E.S. is an easy way remember that consent is:  F: Freely Given R: Reversible I: Informed E: Enthusiastic S: Specific If your consent doesn't have F.R.I.E.S. then you might not fully enjoy your "meal" or play experience. After a lovely class at GASP 2026, in which they used candy to discuss consent, and went through some fantastic role-playing, we had to have these lovely and hard-working ladies on the podcast to share their techniques for self-advocacy!  It's not easy to speak up for yourself, especially when many of us love to please our partners. But that's exactly what being your own advocate is about. And for a fun scene, it's important not just to please your partner, but to get your needs met and protect your own boundaries as well.  Whether it's salty or sweet, F.R.I.E.S. or candy, this discussion has something for every taste.  There was just too much here for one episode, so do stay tuned for part 2.  

Sshhhhhhh! It's a secret! Or is it? We stole this idea from a coffee house, more maybe it was a boba tea place: share your thoughts, your feelings, your fantasies, your questions, your advice, your troubles, your secrets, and your stories. Share anything you like… but share it completely anonymously.  The goal is to help each other see that we are not alone on this journey of life. That we all have secrets, fantasies, questions, and concerns. That we are all… human! We loved the idea so much, we wanted to share it with the adult spanking community to show that even spankos are not alone!  We've been working on this project for a few years now. If you've seen us at an event, we've probably had our little journal with us for you to share your thoughts. Many have shared their own Spanko Secrets! And because it's all anonymous, now we bring some of these secrets to you, our listeners.  If you have something you'd like to share, drop us a line, an email, a FetLife message, or see us at an event and add to our Spanko Secrets journal! We'll keep it anonymous for you, even if your method of communication doesn't. 

Change Happens. Sometimes unexpectedly.  Completely without warning, YouTube deleted our channel!  This goes for YouTube Music (formerly Google Podcasts) as well.  We are suddenly gone from all Google-related media.  They've not given us a clear reason. They've not given us an opportunity to correct or change anything. And they shut down our appeal without further explanation. It is said that "crisis doesn't build character, it reveals it." Well, this isn't a crisis, but it's a big change for our podcast and our listeners.  Unfortunately this Google decision is outside our control. And we're aware how it may affect some of our listeners and our community.  But never fear, we're working on some things that we can control, and we have some things coming that will hopefully help keep our community thriving and continue to give our listeners access to our content. The show will go on!  

We continue our discussion with Shaylah and Avery regarding a very specific online roleplay that includes accountability in real life.  Forgelink Academy is a unique role play that is based on real life accountability in an online school academy roleplay. Students select a goal to work on every other week check-ins. Students are provided with encouragement, praise and consequences based on how they perform on their goals.  They discuss the process of applying to Forgelink, how the terms run, and some of the expectations.
